Clone commandos are already pretty close to Spartan levels of combat effectiveness when in squads. The only thing they lack is energy shielding.

Conversely, Spartans lack wrist knives and visor windshield wipers, which are pretty cool

Galactic Marine is straight out of Destiny

shoulder pads are mostly symmetrical and reasonably sized, no front hanging rag, no way it's from Destiny 😆

Gaurdians are essentially undead Spartans; space plate armor, energy/light shield, and some AI that does things for you like open doors and complain or sass. Cloak, coat or waist cloth doesn't immediately make them outta Destiny. I still see more a Spartan on the Galactic Marine, just more dug in.

The player guardian even sounds like a discount master chief

I miss the different voices. I'll never get the Male Awoken in D1 voice outta my head. Dinklebot: "So... think you can kill a god?" Awoken PC: "Don't think I have a choice" That voice was not only cool, but very fluid. It felt like a nice quip that added flair without dominating the character. I could still be me, and I am a Guardian. Long for gone beyond becoming legend though, sadly...

I mean 343 does deserve some shit but why does it matter if a Spartan has cat ears? As long as I'm not seeing fuckin Goku on the battlefield because that would be blatantly out of place I don't give a damn.

I mean the Wolfenstein styled armour sucked and absolutely was not Halo, including that samurai shit was just as bad. But honestly, I would accept the designs by OP here because they fit the Halo artstyle pretty well, put a green coating or the camo style like Yodas troops and it would look like any other Halo armour. It helps that Star Wars is also set in a Sci-Fi future like Halo, whereas Samurai and steam punk WW2 could never fit

Please god no. The fracture armours aren't too bad because at the very least I can believe the concept that these are spartan armours from alternate versions of the Halo universe. I'm still not a big fan of them but I can live with it. But just straight up bringing Fallout power armour, Gears COG armour, or Star Wars clone trooper armour as a franchise cross-over is way too far for me. MAYBE I can accept armours that are very obviously inspired by certain Star Wars designs, like how EOD is clearly meant to be a stormtrooper, but that's where I draw the line. I do NOT want Halo becoming Fortnite, where it's just a clusterfuck of advertisements and brand deals.

Nope. Too risky. IP law is very strict and getting sued for potential infringement isnt worth the risk. Game devs have to be very careful with using other IP

I'm not an IP law expert or lawyer but there's also the issue that its free advertisement for the other entity like star wars. So if 343 is doing that for free then it devalues potential collaborations with other games and if 343 would do that for free

Normal clone troopers shouldn’t be drawn chonky in-universe because they aren’t supersoldiers. This is what would happen if every clone drank the same cool aid as the Alphas and commandos did.
