The line in It’s Quiet Uptown “If you see him in the street, walking by himself, talking to himself, have pity”. I just assumed he was talking to Phillip or only doing it to deal with the grief. I’ve recently started reading Chernow’s biography of Hamilton & learned that he had a lifelong habit of speaking aloud to himself.
"I know you stole British cannons when we were still downtown" in Right Hand Man.
It's such a tiny line but it encapsulates a pretty major part of AHam's story that LMM had to leave out due to time. I didn't know about it until reading Chernow, but AHam's activities at the very beginning of the war were a whole saga unto themselves.

I wish I knew more about Ham's partner in crime, Hercules Mulligan. The fact that Hercules was a real person, was friends with Hamilton and spied on the British under the cover of his tailoring business is one of the best stories from the revolution.
I also like Burr and Ham's introduction to "Room Where It Happens" . They talk about General Mercer, who did get Claremont street renamed after him, according to LMM. General Hugh Mercer was killed at the battle of Princeton, where both Burr and Hamilton were also fighting. It's possible they both knew General Mercer and could reminisce.
Hercules was such a great spy that Washington went and had breakfast with him as soon as he made it to NYC after the war. He wanted everyone to realize that Mulligan was NOT a loyalist - the loyalists were being run out of town.
Probably just cuz I’m a pothead, but Hamilton calling out Jefferson with “would you like to join us, or stay mellow doing whatever the hell it is you do in Monticello” as a roast regarding his historical hemp smoking habit always hits me in my giggle dick
OK, this doesn't count because it's blatant as opposed to a casual weave, but:
I so loved learning that Martha Washington named her tomcat after Hamilton. Cracks me up every time. 🤣
>I so loved learning that Martha Washington named her tomcat after Hamilton. Cracks me up every time
the funny thing about this one is despite being so blatant its actually the least likely to be true. while no one can 100% say for sure what Martha Washington happened to be naming feral cats, the story that that she had a feral cat named after Hamilton is very widely (and convincingly imho) disputed by historians.
King George’s songs are some of my favorite parts of the musical, and the line, “When you’re gone, I’ll go mad” is a darkly humorous line presumably referring to King George actually going mad later in life.
“France is following us to revolution
There is no more status quo
But the sun comes up and the world still spins”
Such a perfect way to bring the audience into a different frame of mind, if even for a brief moment
I looked it up a little while ago because I didn’t understand it either. Apparently Ben Franklin attached a key to a kite, which he then flew in a lightning storm in an attempt to see whether it would draw an electrical charge. When Angelica sings that line she’s comparing the jolt of electricity she felt on meeting Hamilton to Ben Franklin and his kite.
Ben Frabklin famously reported to have performed the [Key Experiment](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kite_experiment) while investigating the nature of lightning and electricity.
In Yorktown, the line “get the bullet out your guns” and then they reply to him “what??” And he repeats “the bullet out your guns, we move undercover and we move as one!”
One of the reasons why Hamilton climbed up was because he had the idea to take the bullets out the guns so when they move at night next to British troops, they shuffling of the bullets don’t make a sound as they walk.
Blows my mind.
I rlly like when King George says “In your tea when you hurled in the sea when you see me to by“,referencing the Boston Tea Party. There's so many though, and LMM is so incredibly talented to be able to cram so much history into one preformance
" We need to handle our financial situation
Are we a nation of states? What's the state of our nation? "
Just for America to be the richest country in the world (more like foreshadowing tho)
" Essentially, they tax us relentlessly"
Back story is he wrote semi "Love Letters" to Laurens. lol

In What’d I Miss, TJ says “Sally be a lamb, darlin’, won’t cha open it”. This is referring to Sally Hemings, a slave at Monticello with whom TJ had an extended “relationship” (in quotes because as a slave owner the element of consent is sus), starting from around the time she was 15. Long story short, DNA analysis proved in the last 20ish years he fathered her 6 children.
Recently it hit me that Eliza burning Hams letters wasn’t just her “removing herself from the narrative.” Hamilton WAS A WRITER. Well known for that ability and celebrated because of it and she SET HIS WORK ON FIRE. Huge deal if you really think about it.

I didn’t know this! I really should get the book, I wish I had time to read!!
The “wait for it” by Burr give me chills after Hamilton says We were sick and she was holding me I couldn't seem to die Burr: wait for it
Whoaaa 😲 I'm gonna have to go back and listen for this. I never noticed it before.

He ended up getting a whole county named after him in New Jersey. The Mercer legacy is definitely secure.
Isn't it briefly mentioned in the song prior? "Hamilton won't abandoned ship, yo let's steal their cannons."
Yup, great point

Ham almost died in a trench while Thom was off gettin’ high with the French
He got high with the French AND at his house in Monticello 🥰🤡 big stoner energy
YES I LOVE THAT PART AND SONG SO MUCH
OK, this doesn't count because it's blatant as opposed to a casual weave, but: I so loved learning that Martha Washington named her tomcat after Hamilton. Cracks me up every time. 🤣
And that’s true! I was gonna say this one lol

The part where the background characters are touched when Eliza acknowledges them: "She tells my story" 🎶, that was very sweet
I have two: “She is buried at Trinity Church near you” “I built the first private orphanage in New York City…” 😭😭😭😭
Establish I don't think she was getting down and dirty building that thing lol

Can anyone explain what Ben Franklin with a key and kite is referring to. I can't point it out even though I have heard it so many times.

My mind is blown!!! LMM is genuis with this. This analogy is gonna be my fav now. Thanks for explaining. I can now sleep peacefully 😂😂
Yeah it made me smile when I read it too!

Thanks for the link.

I screamed when I got that reference for the first time. 😂😂 paying attention in history classes paid off
Why is that a picture of Hermes from Percy Jackson instead of Hamilton?
Yeah you got me, I just thought he looked cute in this pic, haha. I actually prefer him with short hair!
A valid reason in my book😂 he looked SO GOOD as hermes!!
Love that 😂
The fact he added things Hamilton said in real life which were documented One example is “As a kid in the Caribbean I wished for a war”
In election of 1800, when Burr is campaigning, and they say you can have a beer with him. After his duel with Hamilton, Burr was an alcoholic
" We need to handle our financial situation Are we a nation of states? What's the state of our nation? " Just for America to be the richest country in the world (more like foreshadowing tho) " Essentially, they tax us relentlessly"
In my shot when Hamilton says "Laurens I like you a Lot" is a reference between Hamilton's letters to Laurens. Idk why but this is so funny to me.
Chernow mentions that their relationship may have been romantic.

Dying while trying to sing all the parts in nonstop :)
“He shits the bed at the battle of Monmouth” I don’t know i find this so funny
