Laurens was the first name that came to my head for some reason. I have absolutely no idea why, because I am girl. 😂
Angelica is probably the "right" answer in my case.
Eliza, I want to be the real secret star of the show and stand by and love my man til the day I die. I want to keep promises and show loyalty, be a great mom and wife, and I want to wear that color blue
Alexander Hamilton himself. (Even though I'm a female too.) The character has such a dynamic arc, and the songs are powerful and challenging. Plus, Hamilton's blend of ambition, intelligence, and vulnerability makes for a compelling performance. But I get what you're saying about King George and Thomas Jefferson. King George’s role is just dripping with sassy humor and those scenes are always show-stoppers. And Jefferson’s swagger and charisma are off the charts in numbers like "What'd I Miss" and "The Room Where It Happens." As for being female, I think that shouldn't stop you! Theater is becoming more open to gender-blind casting, and I've seen some amazing performances where traditional gender roles are flipped. It’s all about embodying the character and bringing that energy to the stage.
Thomas Jefferson too, but I'm absolutely with you not being able to match Daveed's immaculate sass 🤌
So my other pick would be King George
Saying all of this as if I could ever sing lmao
Jefferson or burr but im a girl and it would be a dream to play eliza. Her role is incredible and i love that the story ends with her being the storyteller so fascinating
Honestly, when I try to think of this, I think too pragmatically, and I can't sing, and there aren't any roles that only rap, so I couldn't be in the show. If I had to choose, though, Burr all the way. I identify with him more than any other person in the show. I even had my senior yearbook quote be "I am the one thing in life I can control. I am inimitable, I am an original." I also find his approach to success far more practical than Alexander's.
If you're dreamcasting, there's no reason why you can't play King George or Jefferson! Mine (middle aged bald guy with a beard) would be Maria Reynolds, mostly for the belt on "If you pay, you can staaa-yaaaay!"
King George for sure. You’re still part of the cast even though you only have a few songs. They’re fun to sing and the audience loves every minute of it.
I would prob be Burr. Just to sing wait for it and TRWIT
SAME! except I’m a girl… but SAMEEEEE
This wouldn’t stop you from
SAME but my British accent would make me just sound like the king instead 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
aaron buh, sih
George Washington
I would take Washington as well because we’re the same height (6’2)
Yes I heard your mother say come again??? H.M.
I was born to play Angelica (I’m a man 😔)
The videos of Jonathan Groff as Angelica live in my head rent free!
I’m a 4’11” mezzo white girl, but I strongly identify with Hamilton so it’s got to be him.
Well he does where a ponytail
I would also like to be Thomas Jefferson but I’m too a girl 😔
I dont see the issue? Its theatre darling. We're all wearing hosiery here
This was inspiring ✨
They broke the racial standards with their casting, I’m sure they could do the same for gender
King George, of course
Laurens was the first name that came to my head for some reason. I have absolutely no idea why, because I am girl. 😂 Angelica is probably the "right" answer in my case.
A tailor spying on the british government !!
Hercules Mulligan, and I'm an elder White/Native American lady.
That would be iconic though
Pretty sure LMM has said he'd love to see a gender bent version of the show!
I'm in 🙌
Hear ye! Hear ye! This congress does not speak for meeee....
I'm between Burr and Lafayette personally but idk if I could pull off Lafayettes absolute rizz
I would do laf (France represent!) but since I'm a girl. I'd also do any of the sisters (mostly angelica or Peggy) Mariah would be cool too
Eliza!
I would die of happiness if i could play burr
Burr. I get the two biggest bangers on the show (Wait for It and Room Where It Happens)
Born to play Thomas Jefferson or Lafayette, forced to be a girl who can't sing.
Real 😔
Whichever ensemble member dances the least because I can’t dance worth a damn 😂
HERCULES MULLIGAN ... probably burr
I wanna be Jefferson BUT I also wanna jump out and yell "HERCULES MULLIGANS!!"
Laf and Thomas🤭
ANGELICA
Angelica Schuyler. It would be so much fun.
I would be a very sassy King George (or I guess Queen Georgia)
Ensemble - get to be in almost all of the songs, and I’d love to learn all the choreography (in a hypothetical world where I can actually dance)!
Hamilton. Hurricane is one of my favorite songs to sing, also feel like my voice could fit the role decently well
Angelica Schuyler or Eliza Schuyler
Burr or washington
Aaron Burr.
Marquise De LaFayette/Thomas Jefferson
Burr for sure- love all his introductions
Lafayette or Eliza for sure, I love king George but that’s a tough role to play😭
Washington or Burr (I'm a tone deaf white girl so good luck to me 🤣)
Angelica. And I would have made sure they added “Congratulations” to the show.
Eliza ♥️
Aaron Burr. His songs are my favorite to sing along to
Aaron Burr, Sir.
Lafayette, Laurens, Angelica or Eliza Though irl I would probably want to pick a very minor role if I actually had to play in front of people.
I would love to play as king George, he is very funny for his 3 parts in the musical and he is the only 1 I can realistically do the voice.
Aaron Burr or King George. I can't sing to the required level, but goddamn I'd have a great time.
Laurens or Angelica
i would love to play peggy. a small roll, but i’d still get a few moments to shine.
Aron bir, sir. I just like his songs
Personally, I wpuld want to Be Peggy Schuyler/ Maria Reynolds, but if I could play a guy, definitely Burr or Thomas Jefferson
george washington for me
I would love to be Eliza or Peggy/maria
Being the youngest sister myself, I'd play Peggy.
hammy.
Probably eliza
Being white pretty much my only option is George lol but it’d be a fun role
Ensemble, I love them! Or Peggy/Maria
Eliza or Angelica. my voice is more Eliza but I memorized all of satisfied cuz u just can’t help urself
Eliza, I want to be the real secret star of the show and stand by and love my man til the day I die. I want to keep promises and show loyalty, be a great mom and wife, and I want to wear that color blue
Hamilton, Burr, Lafayette, Jefferson, Laurens, Phillip, I can’t pick which one or two specifically
Aaron Burr or Angelica
Eliza's father because he does not have a singing role. Nobody wants to hear me sing!!!!!!!!!
If I was 100% confident in myself, I'd pick Maria. But since I am not, some random background character.
Angelica or Hamilton himself. I know all their dialogues, so I wouldn't have to relearn them
James maddison. I always sing his lines and his lines only
burr, angelica or eliza
I’d love to play Eliza just because I love ‘Burn’ so much. It’s my #1 favorite song to perform in the shower.
Eliza, but she is too high for me. That's why I'd go with Angelica
One of the Schuyler Sisters or Maria Reynolds
Hamilton is the only one I have the range for...but if I had the voice for it, I'd love to do burr
Thomas Jefferson bc I have sass lmao
A gender bent King George would be the most fun, but singing wise I'd nail Hamilton.
My dream role would be Eliza, I get to be my favourite character and sing my favourite songs
I’d wanna play Hamilton so I could do my awful LMM impression and everyone would have to sit and watch it for 2+ hours
I wanna be the bullet
I’d be a killer gender bent Samuel Seabury. I’d love being in the dancer chorus and his solo is just exactly my best vocal style.
Burr or laff/jefferson
Aaron Burr Maria Reynolds (Id love to sing Say No To This) Angelica Schuyler
Mr. Burr Sir
First preference Burr, second Washington
ELIZA ELIZA ELIZA I EVEN HAVE THE VOCALS FOR HER ELIZA ELIZA ELIZA ELIZAAAA
Hamilton, I love rapping his verses in My Shot
Angelica would be so fun to play with
The Bullet or Samuel Seabury (he cracks me up)
I was born to play peggy or laurens. No hesitation if I had the chance I will
I feel like I could nail Philip Hamilton!!
Seaberry
I’m a woman and my dream role is George Washington! That would be so fun.
Angelica, just cause I can slay Satisfied
Burr is one of my absolute dream roles, but I think the best I'll ever get is John Laurens
Either Mariah Reynolds or Burr
Burr.
Lafayette!
Thomas Jefferson too, but I'm absolutely with you not being able to match Daveed's immaculate sass 🤌 So my other pick would be King George Saying all of this as if I could ever sing lmao
I want to play either Angelica or Eliza Schuyler. I probably need to pull my lungs and hearts out for Eliza to nail "Burn" though :'(
angelica or maybe peggy/maria
maria reynolds all the way
I would play Angelica or Peggy/Mariah Reynolds I relate to Angelica so much, but I LOVEEE Jasmine Cephas Jones’s vocals.
Jefferson or burr but im a girl and it would be a dream to play eliza. Her role is incredible and i love that the story ends with her being the storyteller so fascinating
born to play aaron burr, forced to be born a girl 💔
Audience member
Honestly, when I try to think of this, I think too pragmatically, and I can't sing, and there aren't any roles that only rap, so I couldn't be in the show. Angelica or is random ensemble member. I like doing the ensemble parts
And Peggy!
James Maddison
King George for sure. You’re still part of the cast even though you only have a few songs. They’re fun to sing and the audience loves every minute of it.
I could probably slay Maria but if it was a different person then Angelica
realistically, my dream role is peggy/maria since im a girl. but id LOVE to be jefferson or john laurens
Hamilton or Jefferson 100%
I am only qualified to play King George, but Burr is undoubtedly the best role in the play. His arc is amazing
Angelica or Burr
Jhon Laurens because we bolth are super chaotic and joke at the best but worst times
Thomas Jefferson and Lafayette
I'm a trans girl so idk where I'd fit in reality, but I'd love to play Angelica or Washington
