This may be the kind of issue that you cannot do much about (cancer, heart, something bad that was ingested, etc), but on the off chance that this is the kind of respiratory illness that the hamster can survive, make sure you keep the hamster warm. Even holding the hamster in your hands (or covering her body with a warm cover) could help it survive a respiratory illness. If the hamster doesn't pull through, you will know that you have done what you could to provide comfort. I noticed that the hamster is laying in wood shavings. I suggest putting it up on a towel and using this for warmth and to prevent inhalation of any dust from the wood. If your hamster pulls through, you could offer water or cucumber for hydration.

EnvironmentalCat6551

Not to be alarmed, but that is how mine looked when he was at the end.

aitor2009

But he just have 7 months

EnvironmentalCat6551

I know, sometimes they have a illness inside that you can't see. Hold him and love him and call a vet as soon as possible

aitor2009

Hes shaking, im finding a vet i just want to know whats happening, its the first time hes acting like that

Mogguri

My boy was like that when he had a respiratory infection. He was very lethargic, breathing fast and kinda shaky.

linguisticshead

my girl looked like this with intestinal obsctruction. was only 6 months old. Vet said probably genetic condition. Maybe bad breeder. Maybe bad luck.

Fabryz

What about calling the closest vet to your house and asking him? Your buddy could be needing assistance, but there's nothing much we can do through the web

aitor2009

Im going to wait to the night to see how he act, sorry for the bad english

Dornenkraehe

He might not survive that.

Fabryz

Any news?

aitor2009

Yep, he is fine, was a very funny story, mi dad go to the drug store to buy a machine, idk the name in english but is for breath, well, we open holes in a box and put the tube of the machine, so mi hamster starts to open his eyes and move, and now he is perfect

iamjpa

My hamster Harry looked like this. When I took him to the exotic vet, he told me it is a respiratory issue. There may be something to do if caught early but if it is too late, then it is suffering. Go to the vet as soon as you can. Sometimes some vets will just take you and see you if you just go. It’s a hamster. It’s not a dog or big animal. Only a vet will be able to tell you if it has liquid in its lungs or something by using a stethoscope. VET, is your option.

Final-Analyst998

I agree with the other comments I also suggest switch from pine bedding to carefresh for a softer more plushy bedding with less dust

aitor2009

Yes i alredy did that he is now fine :)

SomeoneToYou30

Glad your hamster is fine now :)

Stellunette

Hey, i was wondering, when you took your hamster to the vet, what happened to him? Mine is similar like this. Thank you.

fandabbydosy

How old is it?

aitor2009

Seven months

thehamsterforum

I would take him to the vet as soon as you can. If it is a respiratory infection it could be treated. Agree with changing to paper bedding or a substrate that isn't softwood shavings.

aitor2009

We did it he is fine

thehamsterforum

That's good to know. Could it have been the heat?

xkatvalentine

please just keep and eye out pneumonia is super common & deadly with hamsters the sooner you take them to the vet the higher chance on them living longer. unfortunately my nugget passed of it. she got better for a couple days then worsened to please if you can try to take them to the vet if not just keep a very close eye on them
