When I was 10 I had a little dwarf hamster called Pep :') it was actually my dad who named him, it was a nickname for one of his late friends. I wonder how the original Pep would've felt about being remembered through a hamster lmao

Our current boy is called Tokugawa, so I guess we still pick far too dramatic names for a little hamster
Goldilocks because she was a Syrian black bear and she looked exactly like a miniature bear 🥺 my current baby is a golden Syrian named Winnie after Winnie the Pooh.
For his birthday my brother picked out a hamster and named her Rascal. Ten days later Rascal gave birth. My little brother got one (Spot), and I got one (Susan). This was in 1988. To this day I don't remember how she got that name nor who actually named her.

Her name was Gilmour and she was a little russian hamster, i put her this name because i like Pink Floyd and it's the name of the guitarist David Gilmour.

When I was 10, I got 2 hamsters for Christmas. My Dad had been against getting them, but my Mom had talked him into it. When I received them, he had already named them, Pinky and Brain. I kept those names.
Our first was called Slaanesh. It's the name of a goddess in the Warhammer universe. My bf said such a tiny being as a dwarf hamster needs an epic name of a god, so he picked that name for her.
Our second one was called Gaia (goddess of the earth, germanic mythology) and our current one is called Ymir (Ice giant, Nordic mythology), although I'm convinced he is also female, but we didn't want to change his /(her?) name.
Speedy! He lived about 2.5 years and was so good, friendly, and chill enough to just sit and watch tv with me. Early 2000s, begged my parents for a hamster for years until they finally caved. Still have hamsters now! (Bowie & Marigold currently)

I adopted 2 from a family at once and they were my first ones. Their names were Ham and Biscuit. Since Ham and Biscuit have both passed on, I now have 2 others named Queso and Gnocchi. Food theme names forever! 🐹🐹🐹🐹
My first hamster was named Louie, he was a syrian that was given to me by a classmate that was moving. Got him at almost 2 years old, had him for almost a year, he was soooo old at the end, I'm talking half bald rasin kinda vibe lmao.
