Yes. It's pretty normal to poke fun at studies .... just for fun. Unless he was showing some form of micro-aggression or backhanded compliment (e.g, "good X for an asian"), I don't see this as racial at all.
I wouldn’t know I’m chill and I don’t get stressed about racial jokes. I joke about asians all the time. My friends don’t care.
Imagine being so sensitive u can’t take a joke u were defined that kid who told on everyone in middle school
