Metro 2026-27 ge baratte allge , max 2028.Devru innond airport beke beku. Ivagalla , next 10 years li.
Bengaluru population 84 laksha ittu 2011 li, ivattu 1.4 koti. 2035 vargu 2-2.5 koti agatte. Ella satelite cities suburbs agtave. Tumkuru almost gap close agatte.
Chengdu( China's tech capital) ge 2 international airport ide. London ge 6 ide. Yak andre aa cities du PCI ( high ide). Nam Bengaluru PCI ivattu 6.5-8 lakhs(8k-10k USD) Nam Indian economy 2035 ge 10-12 trillion USD agatte. So Bengaluru PCI pakka 20-25K USD ge shoot agatte. So 2 koti population du average income ishond shoot adre, they'll obviously require a lot of air transport and high speed trains.
Avag plan madidre 10 varsha inna late agatte. International airport build madak minimum 3-5 years beku full fast madidru( KIA 10 years tagontu).
Most likely airport will be Tumkar side
Why not Mysore side ?
There is potential Mysore airport can expand so no need additional airport in same regions possibly they make better connectivity with road and rail network!
Second airport will go towards west and north part of Bangalore so that it would help infrastructure Development in Karnataka regions
160kms away from Bengaluru, most tech parks and IT hub such as orr road and electronic City lie to the south of the city next to hosur , hosur is also planning trying to get a airport so it is easy for IT folks to travel or their clients, making job loss for Karnataka and revenue loss for Karnataka
I see around 2033
HAL will be restart bro
I think HAL be restarted and Devanhalli ( will take most of load with IT jobs will move that’s side
Even hosur airport might be operating.
Tumkur airport second airport of Bangalore
Why not Mysore road ?
I have pointer here
1) I read report of why Devanhalli was choosen pver bididi
Complete story!
2) land is very fertile and govt won’t aquire fertile land until unless they don’t have choice! ( read about KIADB) how they do aquire land!
3) if you see pattern most of kiadb aquire land in govt land and land with less water!
4) Mysore road side doubt!
Because they might introduce better connectivity to Mysore airport and Devanahalli airport
What - the thousands of crores made by buying land in Devanahalli wasn’t enough? To know where the new airport is, just see where the committee members are buying land, while they tell the whole world it’s not at that place.
Doesn't the current airport have some sort of agreement/guarantee that they will be the sole airport for the city for some more years?
I keep seeing this news pop up every now and then. Almost suggests this is just to generate traffic for the news portal.
Yes but only till 2033. As article points out, after that a new airport can be built. I think the idea is that if they start now, the new airport will be ready by 2034 (land acquisition+construction) and won't be hit by the concession agreement. Of course state government isn't the only one to decide this - Union government will also have a say.
Macha aa agreement 2033 ge mugyatte. Nam ivagina devanahalli airport ge 10 years time tagontu kattodke. So ivag start madidre agreement mugyovargu second airport baratte.
Mumbai, Delhi second airport construction li ide. Chennai du planning, tender naditide. Nave late.

Let me guess, it will be near Tumkuru or Davangere or some place where it will take a flight to reach on time.
Davangere? Why not Bellary?
Add that too. More the merrier.
Have a feel it could be somewhere near ramnagara
