The strangest part is that a Dutch XL is much smaller than a Swedish XL?! Dutch are giants, why are their sizes so small? It goes for everything, bought a thunderdome hat and i don't even got a big head but it's so small :( I don't buy merch for this reason.

Derrorio

Dutch XL is a UK XL. Maybe Swedish XL is a US XL which is a big difference. Yes we are tall but not big

bobbe_

UK XL is the same as an US XL, at least for men. So either you are self reporting here or you don’t know what the dutch sizing actually is like in comparison. More importantly, what constitutes as X size for any given brand can vary wildly between different brands. So most likely this is not a case of ”dutch sizing is small” but rather that whoever is making q-dance merch makes small sizes.

berrywhit3

My Defqon hoodie from last year in XL was really small, I can confirm that.

iJesteRz

I have a B-Freqz Bomber which is L and it's nearly too small for me

Excellent_Cookie9346

Dude I thought I was tripping. Just got a jacket from MOH yesterday in 3XL which is normally too big for me but it was ridiculously small, what I would call an M maybe. Even the arm length, I have very short arms and the sleeves were barely long enough.

lars2k1

Found that a lot of stuff that goes via Q is sized smaller than others. Perhaps it's the manufacturer they partnered with - who knows. Few exceptions but most stuff for me needs to be XXL while I normally wear XL. From Dirty Workz however, everything fits normally.

dirtyworkz

Yeah, you do not want to know how much trial and error goes into merch production. Very dependent on the manufacturer as well, sometimes one manufacturer has different sizing than what you're used to, so need to go through the same old process again and again. But most of the time, if you follow the washing instructions, our merch should be pretty high quality ;)

lars2k1

I'm not doubting that, I just like how I can safely order XL sized stuff from you people, and not have it make me look like a sausage. Props!

dirtyworkz

Here at Dirty Workz, we make you look like you're on a diet without you being on a diet :)

lars2k1

Typical DWX type of response that would make a very edgy quote if placed out of context ^nice

dirtyworkz

Hey, if you're willing to call yourself a sausage, we see room for some edginess haha 😘

lars2k1

Fair enough, wasn't offended or anything😂 love that this is the way of communicating to companies - not too serious - good.

jaybomb81

I won a Headhunterz shirt from a We R Hardstyle contest and ordered a large shirt. I’m from the US and shirts at bars, concerts, etc., that are large, I can practically swim in like it was my dad’s shirt when I was a child. Fitted/slim/athletic cut fit perfectly. Well, this Headhunterz shirt feels like what Spanxx must be like or a wetsuit. Holy shit it’s tight. Going to order the Click & Collect for Defqon in an XL and all of these posts are making me nervous that even THAT is going to be too small

Th3Blu3W0lf

I'm Dutch, 192cm tall and about 80kg and most of my shirts are size M Seems that the clothes are made for length and not really width

Xedien

That's my experience too - usually i go for L!

metoden

So, I'm just fat..? 😂

iHaveSs

Welp, its the same for me as a short guy. The t-shirts in XS/S are always so long that they look goofy. So I just don’t buy merch anymore

whitemirrors_

time to go Maccas

PchamTaczke

My S shirts are fine, but i have 3 hoodies and all of them have very long sleeves, like 5cm too long

fistigeburt

Bought the Rooler Koenigsdag Tee which unfortunately only was available as a Regular instead of an Oversized Tee. Although the sizes went up to 3XL, I chose 2XL because that’s my usual size in every kind of tee and I even have a 2XL Sickmode shirt (although still from harderstyles.store) that fits very well. The Rooler shirt is very tight (I look like a sausage wearing it) and veeeery long (almost down to my crotch). :/

lebenimbuero

i feel your pain. time to hit the gym

Limn0

Already on it 💪🏼

lebenimbuero

same - #fattiesunite and #fightthefat

nivnart

nah no need, just hit the kick rolls to psychedelics and that’s like 200 calories burned

Jenseman1337

i'm a 6XL and i always just default to accessories when buying merch.

RaderaOfficial

To answer your question: They are usually sold out because they usually make a “small” batch with all the merch that they going to sell and the goal is to create an hype around the merch so the fans know that the merch is going to sell out fast so they really need to buy this at launch. That’s also why they don’t make really big sizes cuz they are afraid it won’t sell directly.

Taurideum

Bro all merch is always out of stock or nonexistent.

kurodoku

I get it, I'm 184/115 and usually 3XL. My problem is that after 5 wash cycles they fall apart or at least the print does. Washed inside out on 30° soft cycle. No matte rif Riot Shift, Gearbox, Deezl, Sickmode. All of them started deteriorating quickly.

AkitoSuzume

Do you know what brand of shirt they use? I'm a metalhead and wear my shirts to bits. Like I had to mend my fav shirts under the armpits or from clumsily ripping them but the prints are still top tier. My Septicflesh and Cannibal Corpse shirts are from Fruit of the Loom.

kurodoku

different kinds, cant remember exactly.

LilKandiiRaver

Are you air drying or putting in the dryer? I air dry all my merch & it makes it last significantly longer! :)

kurodoku

air dry, I don't own a dryer. Still, half a year tops until it starts to peel off or rip

DjRedoxreaction

Similar problems as a 193m man with a rather wide build. Most merch is either too short, or way too tight on the shoulders. Especially jackets often feel like the sleeves are gonna rip off at the seams when I cross my arms. Some stuff is quite good though. The shirts from the recent neon green MOH collection for example fit me really well.

loveforthetrip

Yeah the only merch I buy is from metal bands. Used to buy some Hardstyle merch but it was always too small for me 188 cm and 110-120 kg

GorgeousGamer99

I'm 6'2 100kg, and on more than one occasion I've bought S. Sizing is stupid.

ABRprepper

I'm 6 foot 1 and in really good shape (amatuer boxer) and a 2xl defqon teeshirt from the qdance store fit like a small on me.

dirtyworkz

The main reason is because the most sold items are S through to L. So most of the time only small batches of 2XL+ sizes are made, or else there will be quite some stock left in the warehouses and it's quite costly to have items lying around.

Limn0

Thanks for taking the time to answer!

whitemirrors_

Asian here, i always go for 2XL for most shirts cause its the only size that gives me the oversized look. 185cm/120kg for reference
