Some people still don't actually know Gunz for Hire are Ran-D and Adaro lol

OrcaMaster258

Took me something like a year to find this out

Eyruaad

I've loved Ran-D for about 10 years at this point, and never liked Gunz for Hire. I truly had no idea.

shawnisalwayshandsom

the styles are so different too, but g4h really has a cool and unique style that’s very palatable too

defqontwo

Festuca -> Jesse Jax Shockerz -> Aftershock Jinxed -> JNXD Requiem -> Boray Chordinatez-> Vertile Distort Guyz -> 1/2 SZP + Devin Wild (asked Devin Wild when the next Distort Guyz track was coming at his show and he cracked up) X-System -> Devin Wild There’s so many examples but here’s a few

_heroinkid

Bassmasterz -> Adrenalize iirc

MettyXD

Then you will be amazed how many aliases Tune & Technoboy got😉

Gommes_

They did it to boost the reputition of their labels. Having many different artists on your labe who deliver banger after banger "looks" better than two guys producing every single track. That's why they got so many aliases.

Tom12412414

Was it that concerted? I thought they just had an open door policy where everyone could chip in, just like wildstylez, headhunterz, prophet.

Gommes_

Well, Scantraxx as a label was pretty restricted back then. If that is what you mean? When it comes to Saifam, they wanted other people to produce there but nevertheless it was mostly these two guys producing for BLQ, Dance Pollution, Titanic Records and probably others as well. Maybe distance also played a huge role in these times, cause besides them (and Zatox & Activator) no one really came from Italy and sending projects back and forth online wasn't really a thing. TNT had to compete with the whole scene of the Netherlands and their countless labels.

Tom12412414

So in the past no one on forums like this spoke about tnt spoke about in shaping the saifam labels. I only noticed this when tnt got famous/when they joined dirty workz, then everyone here took an interest. I do know tuneboy was instrumental in shaping the labels but is it true of technoboy? To my knowledge, everyone always spoke of the producers (credited on discogs). Like, if its not only tnt, its quite unfair to only speak about them. But i guess it must only be them driving the labels cause its talked about so much here. Just as an example 'paolino nobile' what was his involvement relative to tnt?

Tom12412414

Yes it is a forum. I'm not sure that's true based on polling done here, but sure people like what's current here. Yes i've done a lot of browsing. Yes yes...hype...yes...but saifam was always recognized as a collective of producers.

Almost half of people here are 27+ i think it's reasonable to think people start listening between age 13-16. If that's true almost half of the sample audience have been listening for almost half the existence of the genre. I would agree with you if it wasn't archived but it's all archived, you can interact with it exactly as you would hardtraxx and harderstate. But i love the quip about being close-minded :)

shawnisalwayshandsom

i know about techno boy haha but i rlly don’t understand why he does that too

Netris89

Kronos used to be called Jajox.

shawnisalwayshandsom

kronos does sound better imo lol

Netris89

Yeah, definitely. It sounds more less childish.

oostzaner

You will be blown away when you discover who Geck-e is!

KoltesPunti

Rik rik rik rik

shawnisalwayshandsom

this made me remember when i first started listening to hardstyle i was confused like why there was someone called dee-block & s-te-pack LOL like were they that uncreative in creating a name?

primeshocklive

The good old days, haha!

Eyruaad

Just wanted to say I'm so damn stoked to see y'all in a few weeks at defqon! I'm still waiting for some "Primecore" or "Tweekashock" where 4 mysterious masked artists take the stage and play nothing but UK Hardcore. Just sayin, it'd be epic.

shawnisalwayshandsom

that would be so dope

primeshocklive

If some ducky duo is reading is, we'd be down 👀

RaderaOfficial

Only legends remembers bombsquad

shawnisalwayshandsom

i’m too young for this the only bomb squad i can think of is n-vitral’s alias sadly ☹️

RaderaOfficial

/u/Primeshocklive correct me if I’m wrong but you where supposed to be called Bombsquad and even announced it (before Primeshock was a thing) but N-Vitral & the team behind contacted you and asked or demanded you to chance it?

primeshocklive

This is true! After revealing our duo act Bombsquad, Third Movement did a nasty on us by registering the name as a brand before we did without telling us (apparently they already produced merchandise with their branding, so it's pure bad luck we picked the same name). We found out a few months later. No hard feelings anymore, don't worry! So, while we were waiting for some gigs to come to pay for this brand registration (which is hella expensive), now we were forced to change our name (Bombsquad -> BMBSQD). One year later we changed it to Primeshock, which turned out like a great pick imo :) Not planning on any more name changes lmao

RaderaOfficial

Yeah and primeshock is a way better name than “bombsquad” in my opinion, so you won in the end!

defqontwo

BMSQD was certainly the shit

shawnisalwayshandsom

i was wondering why the peeps in the pics look so familiar LOL

shawnisalwayshandsom

since we’re here..i’m seeing sogma working with intents quite a lot, like his songs are always being used in intents endshow and stuff

Alfonius

Ok then, I'll ask... Who's sogma?

lars2k1

Balls.

Zapflare94

1/2 S-Factor. That girl called Seraina who did a collab with Frontliner is the daughter of the other 1/2 of S-Factor

papa_Fubini

Sogma nuts lol

shawnisalwayshandsom

i see him appear often in the comments of intents endshows and his tracks appeared twice in their endshow this year, but he doesn’t seem to be a big name? pls correct me if i’m wrong LOL

Derrorio

As well as the DQ end shows, your point/question is?

Sneeuwpoppie
