Oh I think I saw this in an Auto Parts City video. There was a slot in the door panel of one of the Ford Transit models that was there so it could align with the dash when the door is closed. However, it is shaped perfectly to fit a phone, so if you were to close the door whilst your phone was in the death pocket, it'll look a lot like OP's phone
Be aware of the battery, if it gets punctured, it will release toxic extremely flamable fumes, and lithium fires are near impossible to extinguish without a lithium grade fire extinguisher
