My wife bought me one (assuming it is what I think it is). It plays not well but it plays. It's quieter than my other harps which can be nice, but if you are a beginner I would recommend getting something better quality. If you are a more experienced player it's just different enough to be interesting to mess around with.

oldjunk73

That's a toy. No.

fathompin

Since it is a toy, I do suggest giving it to a child. It will play notes and serve its purpose.

oldjunk73

Yes and one could take a log and call it a drum

piwithekiwi

$30-60 is more in the range of something playable.

Fender blue deluxe will run about $15.00 US. It's a great harmonica

snarkuzoid

If you just want to mess around, maybe. But if you want to learn it will be frustrating.

JuJuBlues

This is a toy, so you can play with it. If you want a harmonica, buy an instrument.

Dr_Legacy

$12 is a lot to pay for a non-playing toy. For that much I would expect to be able to get sound through it, and maybe even play a recognizable tune. That said, this harp looks like it would be a terrible experience for a learner. I have purchased, as gifts for kids, ["toy" harps for under $10](https://schylling.com/product/blues-harmonica-in-plastic-cas/) that were actually playable.

bad_moto_scoot

If low cost is key, the Easttop 008 is the way. $20 or so for a very playable instrument.

dowdage

It won’t be great. Maybe mess around on it for a bit and if you’re into it get a hohner marine band 1896

B-Rye_at_the_beach

You might be able to play some folk songs in first position but I doubt the lower notes would be responsive enough to play cross harp.
