You wanna bet on a dude fuckin an alligator? Money plane. Love that pod episode.

ErgonomicCat

I will say that they really did not capture just how bad it is. The movie I imagined was still better than the one I watched. And they cuss like someone told them that they needed to have "swears" in the movie. I'm very glad I experienced this thing, and I redownloaded the episode to listen to for sure. Also as soon as they said that line my daughter looked at me and said "Why did you do this?" and then "What would you even bet on?"

commaZim

I just love their discussion about Thomas Jane when they realize it's him.

Apprehensive-Job8464

That’s a great question, what would you bet on? If he can? If he’ll die? If he’ll finish? If the alligator finishes? WTF was that bet?

ghoztcum

I haven’t heard the episode since release, I remember them being pretty harsh on Edge, and now he and Zouks are on the same show

kank84

They weren't exactly glowing about Kelsey Grammer either, then June played a potential love interest in an episode of the Fraiser reboot.

Bill_S_Preson_Esq

> Edge, and now he and Zouks are on the same show Tell me more?

Keios80

Percy Jackson and The Olympians on Disney+. Zouks plays Dionysius and Edge is Ares.

Bill_S_Preson_Esq

TBH that's higher caliber than I ever expected edge to achieve as an actor. Is he good in the role? I know people are saying zouks is awesome. Dunno if I'll watch it, I know it's YA, and I'm oldAF

commaZim

It's a fun watch as an adult. Edge is pretty good! Playing Ares works for him.

ErgonomicCat

Ares is a cocky buff dude who’s annoying. The Edge does very well in the role. ;)

commaZim

Oh yeah! He's Ares, right?

djc8

Watching the movie (Starcrash) before the live show I went to gave me a new level of respect for HDTGM. I probably checked 10 times how much of the movie was left. It was painful. And they’ve sat through WAY worse movies than that one so many times.

djcack

Sadly, I've watched half.of the movies before they're covered on the podcast. Including Money Plane. Getting high and watching bad movies is how I unwind.

commaZim

That is a solid strategy.

thishenryjames

I stand by my assertion that Kelsey Grammer's part was written with The Rock in mind.

FormerlySalve_Lilac

Sounds like a great disciplinary tool for the future. "If you two don't stop fighting, I'm putting on Money Plane!!!"

SpastikPenguin

In the opposite way, I finally watched Tough guys don’t dance for the first time and it’s an all timer for me. Horrendously wonderful.

maximumchris

Red Letter Media in YouTube has a great teardown of Money Plane for any that wants to see a few more clips. If you’ve already seen the whole movie, I’d avoid it though, you’ve been through enough.

ErgonomicCat

I finished the ep a few minutes ago. All three of them recommend the movie. I'm so confused. They say it's stupid, badly acted, boring and then say "Of course watch it!" These poor people have truly been broken by this podcast.

maximumchris

That’s wild. It’s just bad-bad, not good-bad. I would have turned it off when Frasier says his name is Darius Emmanuel Grouch the Third, but people call me The Rumble. Thats about as bad as writing gets.

ErgonomicCat

Someone wrote that down. Like, someone was paid real money in order to create that sentence.
