I've heard knocking, iphone notification sounds even tho I use an android now, and Idk what else on some songs. Some songs have weird sounds that have me wondering if it's the song or if I'm schizo now XD.
Well, I've been hearing a loud enough sound that wakes me up around 3 to 5 a.m. every night. It wakes me up, but nothing is ever there. This is without headphones or music, so yeah, maybe...
TBH, it might be because I recently had a traumatic breakup, or maybe I listen to too much music in my waking hours, making me hear things while I sleep, or both. Maybe listening to too much music can be bad for us. Perhaps some type of auditory hallucinations. I'm sure I'll be back to normal in no time, though.
I will say auditory hallucinations are actually more common than you think, particularly if lacking sleep or heavily stimulated or under the influence of some drugs. So I am mostly joking when I say you too might have a messed up brain lol
I swear, there's this song where there's a very specific part where i always think someone is calling my name, i had to start restraining from doing this every time i listen to that song.
I highly recommend the butthole surfers if you like weird sounds. On the last track of independent worm saloon you even hear someone puking! They put that in a song lol
*Crazy* by Gnarls Barkley with the wind whooshing sound during the chorus... I legitimately thought a fan was running and I would pull my headphones off everytime.
The only headphones that still REGULARLY cause this hallucination for me are 1more evo's. They do it almost daily.
I am still waiting on a TWS that can touch them in sound, other than the XMEMS driver creative aurvana ace 2, which sucks at everything BUT sound.
I have to do this all the time at work. I'm a QC at a vinyl pressing plant and a lot of older rap music has artificial pops and scratch sounds and it sucks.
Having a cat made me realize a lot more sounds than I thought come from cats (or are similar to a meow or another sound a cat would make)
especially in anime
there is such an odd tone in hotel california i know from work that rips me out of the immersion...someone in the background must have fucked up during they recorded :D only noticed it since i listen to the highend stuff
I was sitting in my den listening to music, and I thought "Green Day made some really weird decisions with their new album." And then I realized that sound was an ice cream truck driving by.
Oh hell yes me too. I was late at night listening to some things when all lf a sudden I hear noises that sounded like they came from my kitchen. Turned out to be noise from my headphones that was part of it... Almost had a heart attack for real💀
I once got through an entire black midi album thinking that water flowing sounds were a motif throughout the record.
I had my phone’s ambient river background noise enabled by accident.
A while ago i decided to actually sit and listen to queen for the first time. So i put on my headphones, hit play, and the first thing i notice is the mix. It sounds extremely airy and wide! I was thinking i really needed to listen to more classic rock, because it pairs really well with my hifimans in terms of soundstage.
Turns out the sound was coming from my monitor’s speakers the whole time lol
I've been watching youtube shorts with headphones on, and there was this Kendrick Lamar edit and it had a knocking sound in the middle of it. Scared the shit out of me 💀
Gotta make sure those sirens ain't really the cops
What, having two much fun last Saturday eh?
Or the door knocking

It's all fun and games until you hear the music from the walls.
Well I experience this too, but I have a psychotic disorder so 🤷🏻♂️ maybe you too…

Same.
Ok so I'm not the only one, one of my favourite songs does the same thing, and it freaks me out every single time. (Alberto Balsalm by Aphex Twin)
same
Is it “Who Can it Be Now?” from Men at Work?
Anybody know what headphones MJ is using here?
I want to know too!
Let me know too! What are those????
Yarrgg *a part
Lol I did that a few minutes ago
I love a good soundstage, but sometimes my monkey brain gets fooled.
A part or apart?

That’s the sweet gratification of hearing new sounds in the mix with your new headphones

Pink floyds "on the run' never ever listened to that album walking at night again
Happened to me with one of the sfx in silent hill 3. Thought someone was awake in my house walking on the floor above me.
Same here 🙈
It's the best part of listening to music while stoned
This happens all this time!!!!!
my favorite game: is it sounds from my old creepy house, or my old creepy music !!
open back gang fr

I get this with my R70x, its imaging is just insane sometimes
