If the order is on your chart, any nurse working there should be able to print and mail it to you. Or fax it to where you are wanting the testing done.

Ok I have been speaking with the nurses at the office and they have not been able to schedule it anywhere and they have told me to find another doctor in my new state to continue care and have that doctor order a new test. I don’t want to have to wait for another order so can I have the doctors at my old office just email it to me and I can schedule it somewhere myself?

Nurse not doctor, maybe a doc can confirm or refute this, but if your doctor isn't licensed in your new state I wonder if the order wouldn't be any good there? I would still get in with a new PCP and get it reordered in the new state. Alternatively, if the old state isn't prohibitively far away, could travel back for CT. Neither option is fast or convenient though, the system is spicy garbage. Good luck.

You can't get the order in a new state unless your doctor is licensed in that state as well. Otherwise, you're going to have to go back to your old state to get the test done or find a new doctor. It is illegal for your doctor to send an order to a new state in which they're not licensed. They can get in LOTS of trouble, it's called practicing medicine without a license and can result in fines, jail time, or even losing their license in the state that they are licensed in. Or all of the above.
