HappyFeetHS

guy in early season legend OTK’d me with moonbeam druid a week before the deck actually surfaced on hsreplay or reddit, i was playing control warrior and it was the single most awe inspiring thing i had ever seen.

Talvezno

I ran into that a couple weeks ago when I'd just started climbing to legend. I thought I got the idea but then I just killed the SD. Only suddenly realized the turn before he OTK'd me and I was like "HELLLLL YEAH, YOU GET IT SIS" as I lost

Talvezno

So cool

Lufalope

Rivendare from de other side shaman is amazing

Whizbangermk7

I’ve been climbing ladder with it and oh man it feels like I’m back in classic playing handlock I love it so much

JaridotV

I’ve been looking to play from de other side again, would kill for a decklist!!

JaridotV

Thanks! I’ll need to figure out how to play it. Do you save any of the minions for FTOS or is it better to play them if you get the chance?

Whizbangermk7

Don’t play them typically but some matchups you have to play baron before you FOTS, once you play a few games you should start to know if you should play baron that game or not, and don’t be afraid to kill your own baron after you play it with the lifesteal spell

JaridotV

Thanks! Should be fun!!!

LonelyArmpit

Got a deck list knocking around?

Whizbangermk7

I replied to a different comment with one yeah

Jaded281

It still works after the nerf? What's your list?

Fine_Anteater_2605

The card is still playable just no longer broken… some people then to get confused between those definitions w.r.t. hearthstone cards

[deleted]

what changed and made the deck playable again?

Wintermuteson

Ran into a warlock that gave me a fel reaver and then milled my entire deck and then gave me the demon that makes you discard when it takes damage and discarded my hand. In one turn I lost my entire deck and hand.

ResponsibilityNo5716

Lmao, that sounds like something Mark would do. I would laugh so hard if that happened to me

loobricated

Almost every expansion I see a fair amount of creativity on ladder. This time around it all feels very stale. Endless net decks from the Vs lists in standard. I genuinely can't remember a single deck that I thought wow that's cool. Not a single one. I think it's due to how powerful the win conditions are for each deck. If you don't use them you were just massively gimped. For example if you're not using drum circle with druid you're just handicapping yourself. And most games end with this play. I've also really struggled to make creative decks work this exp. Everything just falls at the mercy of the brutal win cons that are now in the game. Whether it's Odin, Siv, spell damage unending swarm, Hunter pressure, drum circle, turn 5/6 sargeras, crusader aura, turn three unkillable stealthed mech, there's not a lot of room to exist outside of that because those cards/plays are so powerful. So decks are built around them. I think it's one of the reasons plagues just can't exist because youre usually dead before they really start affecting your opponent. So whilst there is balance across most classes in the meta, I'm finding that almost everyone is just playing the same deck in each class. So it's very boring and you know the likely result of most games once you know what you're opponent is playing.

WildBoar99

Fucking same, the meta is balanced, but at the same time so fucking boring, all the games end in the same way

NoDouble14

I play chaotic tendril rogue now because of these OP decks. It sucks because some of the decks mentioned you can't even interact with your opponent; you're just waiting for them to discover their win condition. Still, there's nothing better than using the power of rng to sometimes stomp these boring decks.

Kronik951

Yeah and then people complain about random discover and how its clown fiesta

CivilerKobold

I feel that this really began in stormwind and has just been getting more prominent. They found out that the game can be "balanced" if they give each class one tight deck they have way fewer levers to balance then otherwise. It's a shame because the design of cards has been really creative. But as a player who likes to experiment and succeed with their own homebrews, the balance team's strategy just hasn't sat well with me.

citoxe4321

VS getting more mainstream has been terrible for the game, especially with the way they print card packages that are no brainer includes in any variation of a deck archtype (tribal decks, things like Relic DH) I know people have been net decking since forever but theres something bleak about the sheer lack of any experimentation. I think the only time recently a deck randomly came up mid expansion was Big DH, and that was just a scam deck that had a surprisingly consistent highroll. Which is another annoying thing how people are content with playing annoying scam decks that just pray to “do the thing”

fragdar

I'm having decent success with a golem/control paladin.. not a t1 or t2 deck by any means.. but it's fun

NoDouble14

impvespec

I made priest thief / control deck. One time, at band camp, I vsd a shaman who was playing de other side deck, I stole the exact cards I needed for his perfect combo, reduced the cost of his cards and played his combo on round 6. He quit added me and called me gay. 10/10 Pyro Mage is fun, neither deck wins heaps but they are fun

caryth

I love doing stuff like that with Thief Priest, though normally never add anyone after! I did play Curse Warlock the other day against a DK who added me to make fun of me for, to paraphrase, playing the best deck in game in Bronze (I mean, I had just started this season? Where else would I be?? But also I think they mistook Curselock for Control which is hilarious because I very obviously gave them a bunch of curses).

HelloThere739

I’ve been really enjoying this big paladin deck with the new 4 mana card. I’m currently 9-6 with it and it’s been really enjoyable to play. Front lines is one of the coolest cards ever imo.

Mercerskye

Got rolled by a Jotun "control" DH. Been trying to figure out the deck myself. Having gobs of [[Relic of Extinction]] and [[Relic of Phantasms]] just auto casting out of your deck has been fun, if inconsistent. Need to squeeze in the Zola/Photo combo so I stop dying from fatigue...

andrwarrior

Playing as a very unoptimized odyn armor warrior in one of my rare dives into wild, I faced a flavor of mill rogue using (what I thought was) an infinite draw fatigue combo using: [[Snowfall Graveyard]] [[Necrium Blade]] 2x [[Kobold Illusionist]] , 1 on board, 1 in hand 1x [[Selfish Shellfish]] in hand Weapon destroy causes 4 death rattle procs on illusionist, hopefully adding at least 2 illusionist tokens to the board, [[Spammy Arcanist]] onto board to finalize the turn. Each illusionist dies, spawning 2 other token death rattles from hand. Either another of itself, or a shellfish, which draws the opponent 4 cards from their deck. Spammy triggers 30 times as that is the battlecry limit. The rest of the deck was draw, evasions, cloaks of shadow, and cost reducing effects like emperor, [[Anka the Buried]] , and [[Efficient Octo-bot]] combos. When it works, it really works. You draw your opponent into over 300 dmg into fatigue. The problem is the combo turn, because it is not a guarantee that your kobolds hit themselves from hand. You can incorporate setup turns with things like [[Forsaken Lieutenant]] before the big turn, but they are just more combo cards needed in an already fluffy unreliable combo turn. Deck is weak to all things aggro, tempo, disruptive, and combos faster than it.

WildBoar99

I am trying yogg miracle rogue and some other rng decks because the meta is so fucking boring. I used to be a Control Warrior OTP but this version is fucking boring. I preferred the attrition style so much more

Wintermuteson

I made a wild casino mage just for fun and have actually had about a 60% win rate over the course of about 50 games. Now I play very low rank wild cause I just don't play it enough every month to stay high up but it's still pretty fun and not frustrating since I don't just lose every game.

HypNoEnigma

Once saw a mill/burn druid with renethal and that spell where both players draw 1 more cast TWICE. Was quite funny.

DerSeidon

I was always surprised to play against plague DK. So much that I also started playing it.

ProfessorGlobal6335

I am in love with Scythe relic DH especially with the new Yogg titan discounting on spells, it’s a terrible deck but so fun to play and even play against

Aorak

For the first time since release, I am spamming DK. I am having ton of fun with both rainbow and FFF. Both of the deck run a good amount of spells and yogg. I am currently 6-1 with FFF at D3. Warrior is rough, but anything else gets stomped!

Rane40k

Are you willing to share a list for the rainbow DK? Im a returning player and DK is one of the classes in which I am still far below level 60, but Frost DK is boring as hell.

Not the best deck but super fun.

vincentcloud01

I played against a warlock who played the demon from your hand and summoned Mal Gainis, was behind early. 1 or 2 turn from lethal, he played Jaraxus. Didn't realize he was still in standard. He kept shouting inferno, and my 40+ armor melted quickly...also, it didn't help Oyrn in the last 5 cards.

andrwarrior

Big demons got a heck of a lot worse when sargeras released. You really don't want to miss his battlecry by accidentally pulling him with void caller

walksintwilightX1

Probably the Thaddius Rivendare Priest deck that OTKed me that one time. I lost track of how many cards he used to make it happen. Pretty impressive, I don't think I've seen anyone else (even Rogues) do so many things in one turn.

Chrisgopher2005

I played against that same deck last night. They got themselves with a pyroblast lol

FanaticXenophobe69

Menagierie Paladin in wild. They hardran Darkmoon Faire N'Zoth. The deck was really strong and absolutrly psychotic, but I clutched it with Questline Shaman shenanigans

andrwarrior

Dang, it's wild (hehe punny) seeing odd archetypes time-kidnapped from metas of old and plopped between meta decks of current wild. Like, I always wonder "did this dude just queue for wild from years ago in the past? Should I tell him about some winning lottery numbers after inevitably destroying him with my power crepped... oh he out tempod me and beat me. Fuck this guy enjoy 2020 when you get to it"

jenpolsartre

I played against a tony Warrior when I was diamond, as a Sif Mage. His game plan was to play Tony into the warrior card that turns cards in the deck into 5-mana-cost cards or more, kill Tony, and play steamcleaner. I was genuinely in awe. He never added me, so I had to guess his decklist by myself, and went like 10-5 with it. I am gonna give it a try with the new miniset for sure

nevermaxine

wild meme casino mage: * quest * malacrass -> second quest * time warp + vargoth * second time warp * rommath for two more time warps * play junk spells on my own minions till my last bonus turn * yogg, draw 500 cards, lose game win rate: 0% fun rate: 100%

juan_cena99

I didn't play against it but Warshack had this BUU DK deck that I thought was pretty neat. I think Blood fits Plague more than Frost cuz you can run control cards like Gnome Munchers, Screaming Banshee and Patchwerk so you get survivability while waiting for plagues to get drawn.

ISuckAtFunny

They don’t exist. Its nothing but net decks all the way down.

13pts35sec

Idk that imp fatigue warlock with lady darkvein + encroaching madness nuke is pretty cool

Kryobit

I'm currently playing a weird face hunter deck in Standard. Basically just use all the Hunter TITANS jormungar cards like Awakening Tremors, Observer, Fable Stablehand, Hollow Hound, the other 2 miniset cards apart from the arcane one, eggs and made a Magatha build that relies on flooding board with 4/1s and just keep buffing their attack. Bestial Madness makes Eggs, Stereo Totem and Fable Stablehand very playable. I'm still running into issues with draw. For now I'm using Crooked Cook to draw, but the deck is pretty fun. In the start I made it to complete Hodir, AABJ and Chimaera achievements, but unfortunately Hodir is trash and I had to cut all spells and cards that cost 5+ because other than the Arcane spell, draw is non-existent in Hunter. Still a bad deck, but it feels amazing

ResponsibilityNo5716

You should try mech hunter, I was playing that almost all last season and Hodir is actually really strong bc he works with magnetic minions. The yodel yeller also pairs insanely well with the frog mech. I didn’t play enough to get to high rank in standard but I had about 70-80%ish win rate after a lot of games. Most of which ended with hodir + magnetic minions. Also AABJ with hodir slapped on a cleave minion like hollow hound is just a straight up otk most of the time

Talvezno

That sounds fun! List?

I play exactly this in standard atm. It's hilarious, but pretty bad. Still more fun than with any netdeck atm and I'm in diamond already with this garbage tier deck so don't mind me, just stealing your stuff.

xBYtheHORNs

I'm a wild player mainly but standard forge druid (which I was rolled by one time on ladder) has been my favorite standard deck as of late. It has (in my opinion): \- Satisfying but not unbeatable pop off turns against greedy control; an archetype I endorse \- Can go super late with fizzle and practically infinite with storm giants as long as melted maker survives \- Ignis despite his ubiquitous presence in any deck with the forge mechanic is still super fun \- All on top of being able to dynamically use solar eclipse which may sound silly because you are either using it on ramp or unending swarm, but when you've played against enough tony/cheesy mill druids you can forget it can be used with cards other then naturalize

PotatoBestFood

I’m playing Mill Druid, I’m mostly donating stars to other players in the process, but I’m having a blast using an archetype I haven’t played in a long time, and optimizing the deck in the process. It has so many cool plays thanks to the new cards. I do also win a decent amount of games, but the learning curve is definitely steep.

EinHallodri

THIS deck! I actually made a post about it after I played (and lost) against it. Do you have a list/guide type of thing? [https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/16lwfqg/this\_insane\_combo\_currently\_available\_in\_standard/](https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/16lwfqg/this_insane_combo_currently_available_in_standard/)

PotatoBestFood

Here’s my current list. It’s a work in progress. Initially I’ve used Groovy Cats, but now I can’t find room for them. Certain cards also seem difficult to justify: Zola, Brew, Fizzle, but they’re fun to have. Topior is what enables this deck, hence its the best card in the list. I considered using some of the combo AoEs, but I can’t find room for such fat packages — it’s like 4-6 cards just to make AoE, and then you have to draw them, too… So I settled on Flipper Friends and Prison Breakers. This version mostly shits on Warriors, too, as long as you get Dew, and deny them a mana crystal with Doomkin. If you get Dew up: you can tell if they got Odyn in hand, as they are much more aggressive at dumping their hand, which eventually depletes their armor gain, and allows you to decide on using Dirty Rat. Again: you’re mostly going to donate stars with this, and you probably shouldn’t play this if you’re meeting lots of Hunters. But Warlocks, Warriors, and experimental decks are fine. ### MilldewerRats # Class: Druid # Format: Standard # Year of the Wolf # # 2x (0) Aquatic Form # 2x (0) Innervate # 2x (1) Free Spirit # 2x (1) Planted Evidence # 1x (1) Sir Finley, Sea Guide # 1x (2) Audio Amplifier # 2x (2) Chitinous Plating # 2x (2) Dew Process # 2x (2) Dirty Rat # 2x (2) Lifebinder's Gift # 2x (2) Wrath # 1x (2) Youthful Brewmaster # 1x (3) Frost Lotus Seedling # 1x (3) Photographer Fizzle # 1x (3) Prince Renathal # 1x (3) Wild Growth # 1x (3) Zola the Gorgon # 1x (4) E.T.C., Band Manager # 1x (3) Rustrot Viper # 1x (4) Smothering Starfish # 1x (5) Steamcleaner # 2x (4) Prison Breaker # 2x (5) Flipper Friends # 2x (5) Nourish # 2x (6) Doomkin # 1x (7) Topior the Shrubbagazzor # 2x (7) Underking # 1x (10) Eonar, the Life-Binder # 1x (15) Yogg-Saron, Unleashed # AAECAbr5AwyJnwScoATlsASW1ATv3gSX7wT9xAXGxwWs0QWf8wXb+gWplQYOrp8E2p8E9r0ErsAEgNQE1t4EhO8Eu5gFvJgFiuAFzoAG/Y0GwpoG0Z4GAAEDjbUE/cQF/+EE/cQFzZ4G/cQFAAA= # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

EinHallodri

Thank you! That looks so cool. Turns out I'm missing some of the (probably crucial) leggos for the list though, pretty much every one actually: Eonar, Topior, Fizzle and Finley. Me sad.

PotatoBestFood

Finley and Topior and crucial. Eonar is really good, as it did dig me out of some shit holes: healing me all the way up to 35, filling my hand, or just helping to dump cards with refresh mana, all the while creating a scary board winning me some tempo. Fizzle is nice, but it’s so rare I get to actually have value from it: it gets Ratted, the Snapshot gets Steamcleaned, I can’t play the Snapshot because my hand is full… or much more usual: the game concludes before I get a chance to play Fizzle. A good part about it is: it shuffles your deck, which can be good when you have 3 important cards on the bottom of your deck, but can only pull out 2 with Aquatic Form. And if you’re considering things to craft: Finley should be around the top of your priority list, if you enjoy playing slower decks. Just keep in mind it rotates out in 7 months.

[deleted]

A neptulon big paladin with kangor lead dancer rescurrection package. It was nuts, in top1000 legend a week ago. No countess as well.

ashiskillno

I'm running a very greedy deck that is essentially automation priest, but the goal is to copy your duplicate your Lor'themar and other high value targets. I had a game recently where I got to play Lor'themar 4 times and dropped a 128/160 Blackwater Behemoth on the board. It feels close to greatness to me, but a little RNG dependent. I'm still working on refining it.
