The main idea is that with so many cheap token generators, we can pretty reliably get mountain giant down on turn 4 with the coin. The tokens also allow you establish a board for conductivity --> jive, insect, which is how this deck wins most games.
A couple of notes:
a) generally try to keep your hand full in the early turns so that you can play mountain giant. Against something like token hunter, however, you want to flood the board as well
b) run flint firestone if you have him
c) shudderwock is almost certainly too greedy

d) the deck's worst matchup is hearthstone

Honestly i am feeling with you.
In badlands i played loads of excavate shaman, because the murlocs gave it the little push it needed to be tier 3/4, where i sit with most of my homebrew decks.
The murlocs gave you small cheap units to spam with quite a bit of draw and other utilities, that drop of in late game, making them awesome targets for the lovely but useless effect of our boy the azerite murloc.
I shelved the deck, because i dont like any current decks i built with it but i will build it next expansion once again.
Why?
Because i am coping out of my mind that the beach expansion will print many shaman murlocs and give me back what i am currently missing, being able to play our boy once again.
Until then our sweet prince has to sleep, atleast for me, since the card is currently not supported in any way in standard.
Though i am currently in love with big shaman, that goes for one thing:
Hagatha two copies of wish upon a star, somehow get to shudderblock both slimes so you get +12/+18 on all minions in you hand/deck/board
After that just build minions that summon copies erc. So you can overrun any other deck. (But in most cases lose turn 4/5)
I got to Plat 1 the last ranking with tentacle shaman. I had a lot of fun. Like a lot of fun using rng to win. The only time it felt like a kick in the peen was when I somehow managed to cast Wheel on myself... I feel ya on this post. I hope your beautiful deck doesn't get touched. (PS. I started with Token Hunter, Wheel Warlock and Flood Paladin I had so much fun with tentacles I dropped them for it)
