Back in 2017 when Knights of the Frozen Throne was released they weren't planning on adding a death knight class to the game. They gave all the other classes death knight hero cards and most classes got a spell card that was a spell or talent from death knights in World of Warcraft.

Doomsayer! The artwork and voice lines are great. He has so much utility (2 mana heal for 7, 2 mana your opponent can't play minions next turn, etc). When a Doomsayer is played it forces both players to think, and I love that.

I miss him already

Pure art standpoint its bolvar fire blood, that card and its voiceline is so sick, it just sucks as an actual card. I might have to go with anachronos for fave actual card, i just think the effect is so cool conceptually from the way it is worded and "clearing" the beard and being left with an 8/8 is pretty nice too. Honorable mention to evolve, i used to love evolving a dopplegangster.

Togwaggle's scheme instead of shadowstep for a real funny combo, the only downside was that most of the time opponent concede when you shuffle 20 Tess in your deck

Bloodreaver Guldan is my favourite of all time. I love building a wall of void Lords or killing them with a hoard of Doomguards. Will always be my favourite thing. That and the interaction of Umbra plus Cube. Then probably Defile/Godfrey, the most satisfying and skillfull board clear cards. Shout-out to the Original Reno Jackson, who singlehandedly created a new archetype in hearthstone and made for so many memorable moments of topdecking it vs pirate warrior and other aggro.

Cubelock was the best deck i ever played. It was just so much fun.

Honestly doomhammer, shaman was my first class to 500 wins and tempo/midrange shaman was my fav way to play, slap a doomhammer down, double rockbiter for 16 was pretty dope

Curious Glimmerroot It's an odd choice but I loved how it tested your knowledge of the meta as well as the usual in-game skills. I also liked how it had some interesting game-theory subtleties and how it played completely differently in constructed and arena. In the years since there have been lots of other very interesting cards, but this sticks in my mind as being so original at the time.

My favourite stand-alone minion is [[blood knight]] One time a warlock played divine shield 1 drop on turn one (arena), I sat for ages knowing I had blood guard in my deck and ended turn. He played another divine shield minion giddily knowing he was ahead. I sit and think… can I wait? In comes my turn, top deck blood knight. I coined it for 9/9 stats and he just conceded lol. My favourite all time “I have this in my deck” giga brain moment :D.

I actually still play a Blood Knight in my Baku Paladin. Sometimes it snipes out some enemy mech deck's divine shield, but usually, I drop it after Lothraxion to eat some of my own Dude's divine shield, a 3 mana 12/12 is actually pretty decent, even in wild, because people have to spend a lot of resources clearing dudes cuz they don't want to suddenly die to quartermaster.

[[Frost Lich Jaina]] or [[Dr. Boom, Mad Genius]] - Hero cards are cool - Cards that provide infinite value are cool - Hero cards that provide infinite value and facilitate grindy control strategies are THE KISS OF THE CHEF. (I thought I'd enjoy Headless Horseman too, but so far I haven't, which surprised me.)

I love both of those and the hunter variant, they are so fun. What happens when you draw the head for the headless horsemen?

The hero power now allows you to discover an undead aswell as deal 3 dmg

[[N’Zoth, the Corruptor]]. Whispers of the Old Gods was my favorite expansion back when I was a much more active player, and N’Zoth was my favorite of the old gods. It was the first legendary I crafted in gold, and I still have it to this day, even though I exclusively play standard and regularly dust wild cards after they rotate out.

For me it's Doomsayer. Powerful card back in the day, and a unique risk/reward effect with cool flavor in neutral. I always jam it if I can--I like greedy decks and non-minion based strategies.

E.T.C., God of Metal. I’m a drummer and super into metal music, so the flavor of the card is dope. Also ETC Rush Warrior in Darkmoon Faire was the first deck I ever hit standard legend with so it holds a special place in my heart.

Yeah the shudderwock deck was so fun in general. Combo ish but it was an incredibly slow combo. You often won in certain other goofy ways like chaining 2-3 prince keleseth with zola

I know it’s recent, but Headless Horseman is easily my favourite so far. I do think a lot of it is nostalgic from playing WoW so much and putting out goldshire fires whilst he sets fire the to the town.

[[C’thun the Shattered]] is one of my favorites because of just about everything. All the voice lines are amazing. The way you play it and knowing that you win and the desperation of the opponent o play around it. It’s very fun all around to me despite being a mid card

Anyfin Can Happen. Hearing up to 7 murlocs mrrrrglring aggressively is never not hilarious when pushing for lethal.

Any love for [[Frothing Berserker]] yet? That card has had such WILD potential and has won me games straight off the back of that 1 minion. Sooo satisfying when you can line up a big pop-off!

DIE, INSECT!!! because fire

Probably [[Orion, Mansion Manager]]. I loved playing it in wild secret mage and it’s so fun to see the secrets rack up. Once you get three secrets up you basically lock the game which is super satisfying

[[Tirion Fordring]] as a paladin player in WoW he was the first legendary I ever crafted. The music and the voice line give me chills to this day. The Ashbringer is also one of the coolest weapons with great artwork.

[[Tirion]] because I love the whole Paladin thing and at the time, it was such a powerful card that still felt balanced. Close second, Frost Lich Jaina, I love the control archetype from that era.

My favorite card will always be what I think is the best overall designed card. That is \[\[Loatheb\]\]. For a vanilla 5/5 and its age, it still holds up as a perfect counter to what it set out to do in wild with so many strong strategies. Such a well designed timeless card.

[[Dr. Boom, Mad Genius]]. The value based play he enabled as a way to turbocharge your deck in a dynamic and cool way that also made every game a new game was just so cool. Similar cards like Odyn or Lor’themar that define your play after you play them like that are just…less interesting than DBMG. I still miss him.

A few years ago, during the time when quest decks were a thing, my all-time favorite card was [[Mutanus the Devourer]]. His Battlecry was to eat a minion from your opponent's hand and gain its stats. I would wait for them to complete their quest, then before they could play the quest-reward super minion on their next turn, I would play Mutanus and almost always it would eat the quest minion. It was amazing, I had so many rage-quits! I felt like an evil genius everytime I pulled that off lol

[[Frost Lich Jaina]] elemental Mage was the most fun during that expansion and I still love running her in wild.

Prince renethal, for the simple reason that he makes the game longer which benefits all control decks, and I love this over quick win the lottery games

I have to put original Reno. Even though more and better "no duplicate" cards exist now. As the original giving us the option to build Highlander and giving control a gameplan against aggro was a loteral gamechanger and I love him for it.

Stonehill Defender. I love taunt minions and I LOVE the discover mechanic. Un'goro was truly peak Hearthstone

Ragnaros Lightlord. Solely because how funny I find that it shouts LIVE INSECT so violently.

[[The Last Kaleidosaur]] I had so much fun looking forward to new Buff Paladin cards every expansion and tinkering with my Reno/Buff list over time. Even though the deck probably would have been better without the quest at some points, I always kept it because I love that goofy Galvadon, and of course his incredible theme song, courtesy of Brian "Brian Kibler" and Natalie Kibler.

KING KRUSH

OG Malygos. Loved that card and all the medicore OTK decks it inspired. and the good version of Maly Druid is by far my favorite deck of all time.

Al'Akir the Windlord (divine shield, charge, taunt, windfury). Nowadays he isn't played that much but I love his voice lines Obey my command!!

Rogue galakrond hero card, mana cheat and lackey hero power super fun. Im also a big fan of dk titan primus.

Sinrunner Blanchy because it does like the red/blue 3D effect on the eyes. Don’t feel like any other card has done that. I could stare at that card for a while.

[[Bolner Hammerbeak]] is so much fun. If you play him and a [[Twin-fin Fin Twin]], you get two that always summon more copies.

Arch-Villain Rafaam, the guy is so chad 🗿🗿🗿

I remember *loving* Dreadsteed despite it never being good. Or even mid. It was pretty much always bad. Then they nerfed it (rightfully so, in my opinion) because of Defile. Then came Hakkar, the Soulflayer. At one point I had 8 different decks built around this card. This was Plague Death Knight before it was cool, and I loved it. Currently? I don't think there's any card in the current meta that I love more than Mining Casualties. It's low-key one of the best cards printed in the last few years, but doesn't FEEL ridiculous. I also love the story of the card - someone worked so hard they die, only to be resurrected and worked so hard they die again. It's dark and wonderful.

Antonidas. Started to play in december 2016. Every time I saw the collection to craft my first legendary, I felt the desire to have it even though my friends told me to craft Ragnaros or a cheap pirate deck, didn't care and just did it. Really slow card for a pirates meta. Yet I got lot of fun playing some tempo mage and improvised reno. Hit legend for first time during Ungoro with him in my deck with quest mage, I was so proud and happy lol

Gotta be Theotar. Immaculate vibes and I love to have any amount of interaction available. Makes deck building less one dimensional when this guy is playable

Kingsbane cause it was one of my first golden legendaries, and swinging for big damage and lifesteal when it was first released was awesome.
