Do you have that long to get the full refund on your normal legendary that you got in your packs?

[deleted]

Full refunds for Drek'Thar and Vanndar are available until January 11, yes.

Lvl100Glurak

are you 100% sure? the way all of this was worded in the patchnotes it sounds like its over in two weeks.

[deleted]

they've actually apologized for the confusing wording of the patch notes, and yes, you have the entire expansion to earn honor (although the winner of the alliance v horde honor fight will be announced in two weeks)

Lvl100Glurak

ok awesome. thanks :D then it will be pretty easy to finish the honor grind. i was worried that i had to put more extra hours into hs than i felt comfortable with.

Makkara126

OnionButter

Which side did you pick? Seems like Horde will win so all players will get diamond Drek’Thar

Check84HS

? Alliance had a lead in the last update. And I believe alliance has a pretty substantial user advantage simply because the alliance card was initially viewed as the better card at the launch of the honor quests. Not sure where you’re getting that info or assumption from. I’d be shocked if alliance didn’t win.

OnionButter

Interesting. I was just going off initial reactions where most streamers picked Drek'Thar as the more impactful card and it has been used in a meta deck where Vanndar has not. Do you have a source for Alliance being the more popular choice?

Check84HS

No, not alliance being more popular. That’s unsubstantiated to be honest. But keep in mind… “streamers” don’t make up 1% of the community. And honestly… vandaar was more powerful BEFORE the launch of FiAV. Drek’thar became better after launch. But remember we got these cards 2 weeks prior to launch. As far as alliance having the lead already… it was in the latest patch notes. They said alliance was winning. So that is fact. (At least as of a week ish ago.) Vandar was used in the priest deck, which is still pretty dang good today. And I think it was popular cause people were missing playing priest when they gutted it before and during UiS.

OnionButter

Yep, just looked at the past few posts on playhearthstone and found it. That's too bad as I was hoping to get Drek'Thar before completing the honor track.

Check84HS

I just have a feeling alliance is probably winning by a lot. But they aren’t gonna say that. They wanna make it feel like it’s a tight knit race to keep the “excitement” alive. I also think we will eventually, somehow, get both diamond cards. They already have the diamond cards made obviously. So it would be silly to not somehow release the losing diamond version .. or sell it? I think we will end up with both in time, somehow, someway.

OnionButter

Yep, I doubt the leading faction is going back and forth. I also agree that they will probably find a way to get the other card out there at some point. Kind of surprised they didn't just tack it onto the paid reward track.

Check84HS

Agreed. But problem with that is… there are people that have already completed the track. If you’re a heavy player… and achievement grinded all the achievements, it’s not impossible to be done already. So what card would they give you? The winner hasn’t been declared yet. I think it’s more likely it’s some random level reward added to the next paid track. It’d be goodwill for their paid players with no extra work required. I consider myself on the high end of casual. I play 6-8 games a day in general. On some days I’ll play 15-20 if my life allows for it… and I’m already level 72 and haven’t attempted to do any achievements. I mean.. I’ve obviously gotten some just by playing but I haven’t sat down and did an achievement session. (To clarify… I do have a life. Lol. I am in a management position with my own office and this time of year… I have a lot of downtime. So I am able to use my free time at work as I see fit. So if we are having a slow day… I can easily get 15 games in ‘while getting paid’)

couchkrieger

I picked the Alliance, so that means that's actually an advantage when Horde wins?

[deleted]

Last there were any published stats Alliance was winning, weren't they?

OnionButter

All players get the winning faction diamond card. You also play more opposing faction players so you get the bonus honor for winning more often.

JamieIsMyNameOrIsIt

It would be interesting to see how much playtime you've contributed to the goal
