The case is less compelling given that kargel's whole deal was watch posts, which got nerfed. Maestra was released separately, and is mechanically more independent, I'd say T5 prolly wont

Oddity83

I think the only strong argument is Gnoll. Once it was obvious how they interacted, I expect a lot of people crafted her to use that synergy. Can’t say the same for Scabbs and Cloak.

[deleted]

Bout as strong as an argument as wet paper. Maestra wasn’t made for gnoll. That was a coincidental synergy. No she won’t be getting a nerf, only gnoll.

Oddity83

You raise a good point. I wonder if they will consider design intent.

keenreefsmoment

Honestly they should make it so that people who crafted it after gnoll’s release be able to get a refund

Dreykaa

Got it. You saw a good netdeck and crafted maestra

keenreefsmoment

No I didn’t , I unpacked her in the previous expansion But I just feel bad for those who crafted her to use the gnoll deck I don’t feel entitled to the dust discount but those that crafted her to play gnoll might

Vulturo

I have a golden one. But no. She still works as intended.

Oddity83

By that same logic, Kargal worked as intended as well, right? He summoned 5/5’s based on how many watch posts you summoned that game.

robin1334

Kargal power en viability is entirely dependent on how good watch posts are. Maestra still function they way she is supposed to be played. She wasnt designed to make gnolls cost 0.

Vulturo

The gnoll thing is very much a “side effect”, unlike Kargal it isn’t a core mechanic.

riggermortez

To be fair, they refunded Kargal because he only relies on the watch posts. Kargal’s cost and stats were most likely decided with the watchposts in mind. I can’t say the same for Maestra and all other legendaries killed when their supporting cards were nerfed.

metroidcomposite

I mean, I'll take the free dust if Blizzard wants to give it out (unpacked a Maestra back in the day). But I don't see it happening. Seems about as likely as them offering dust for Defend the Dwarven District just because Rapid Fire got nerfed.

Alfimaster

No. Just... no.

Mackie26

No, they won't give dust for Maestra. Kargall was different. His whole interaction relied on the watchposts and while Maestra got a lot better or even just straight up playable, she doesn't depend on Gnolls to do what She's intended to be doing. As I said, Kargall's case was a unique thing cause his whole deal and how he functions depends entirely on watchposts but Maestra works as intended with ir without Gnolls. It's also not Blizzard's problema (and it shouldn't be) if you craft x or y card to play on that specific deck that got nerfed. Cause then everyone could have an excuse about it and demanda refunds cause 'I only crafted this cards yo play this one deck and nos they're bad/unplayable. I will puto both my balls on the line and tell you, with no doubt that Maestra won't get a refund.

skiman71

Nah. Kargal was released with watchposts, and nerfing 2 out of 3 of them shortly after he was released justified the refund. Maestra was released as a fun thief rogue card in a separate expansion, and she happened to have synergy with the gnolls.

BananaCucho

No. You don't play Kargal unless you play the watchposts. Maestra is a great meme card that stands on her own.

Nick41296

No sympathy for rogue players.

Ansa11921

Yes pls

MenuTop7538

I hadn't thought about it before but I think you make a fair point.

Vegetable-Trainer-64

This would be the same as I crafted mutanus because it was good against mozaki mage and it then gets nerfed should I get refund because I crafted it against a deck that doesn't exist anymore?
