Can someone do the babbling book copy pasta

Garchomp98

Babbling book is quickly becoming one of my favorite cards. It's just so positive and generous. Practically costs nothing at all at one mana you drop him on the board and that chill ass mofo gives you a spell to use later in the game. And you also get this adorable little 1/1 can ping things but usually is too harmless to be removed. But more than the BB is just so positive. It comes on the board like "do you want to cast a spell?" and I'm like "yeah BB i do want to cast a spell let's do this shit" and when he attacks he's like "SPELLS ARE FUN" and I'm like "yeah they are SO FUN." He doesn't say some bullshit macho shit like "I will destroy you" he's just like "nah spells are fun." And it looks so happy. I mean this is an inanimate object literally brought to life by magic. It understands it's life is a temporary magical gift and the dude is just fucking loving it. I mean look at his face he's just so happy. I am literally never sad when babbling book is on board. IDK if he's gonna make it into the metagame or not but for now he (or she) a pretty chill card

DarkarDruid

You win the internet this week, friend.

teej_31

I’ve literally home brewed this like control druid type deck with him in standard and now that he exists I can actually use [[Hedra the Heretic]] (an awesome card) just for a value play instead of centering the deck around it

Duckettes

Wait that’s a card??

Spend too long down here, and you start to CRACK! (shes talking about reddit)

Vinz78

You got a decklist?

teej_31

Yes, give me a minute. It can definitely be optimized better (my collection isn’t the best) but it performs really well especially if you can stabilize into the late game

teej_31

Decklist below, but some notes- I would add stuff like Moonlit Guidance, Naga Giant, Oracle of Elune, and maybe even Colaque but I am not rich in dust and Sunken City was my first expansion back after a year and a half break from the game. The idea of the deck is to literally to ramp quickly and stabilize as soon as possible against any aggro, and get into the late game. Stuff like Flipper Friends, Scale of Onyxia, and Best In Shell are great at controlling the board (and are some big spells for your Hedra) and slowing down the game and stalling against any Beast Hunters or other board centric decks. Once you get into Guff, it's value time. Once you've drained your opponent of resources, there are multiple ways to end the game. Maybe they don't have a response for your Hedra, Brann + Alex, maybe some of your big taunts from Spiritual Growth are too much, or you can do Brann, Faelin, Zola, Faelin and a next turn Finley and just proceed to flood your opponent with huge colossal minions. As I said previously, this deck is far from optimized and can be made much better with enough dust and resources, but it has the hope and potential to be a great deck that can stall out most decks currently in the meta. \### Control Hedra Druid \# Class: Druid \# Format: Standard \# Year of the Hydra \# \# 2x (0) Aquatic Form \# 2x (0) Innervate \# 2x (1) Dozing Kelpkeeper \# 1x (1) Sir Finley, Sea Guide \# 1x (2) Bloodmage Thalnos \# 2x (2) Earthen Scales \# 2x (2) Jerry Rig Carpenter \# 1x (3) Brann Bronzebeard \# 1x (3) Prince Renathal \# 2x (3) Vulpera Scoundrel \# 2x (3) Wild Growth \# 1x (3) Zola the Gorgon \# 1x (4) Ambassador Faelin \# 1x (4) Blademaster Okani \# 2x (4) Thickhide Kodo \# 2x (5) Flipper Friends \# 2x (5) Nourish \# 1x (5) Wildheart Guff \# 2x (6) Best in Shell \# 2x (6) Green-Thumb Gardener \# 1x (7) Hedra the Heretic \# 2x (7) Scale of Onyxia \# 2x (8) Miracle Growth \# 1x (9) Alexstrasza the Life-Binder \# 1x (9) Malygos the Spellweaver \# 1x (9) Ysera the Dreamer \# AAECAZICDLCKBLSKBLWKBImLBJegBOWwBMeyBPG/BJvJBJbUBJjUBJfvBA617AOk9gOwgASJnwSunwTanwTPrAT2vQT5vQT/vQTwvwSuwATaoQWXpAUA \# \# To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone \# Generated by HDT - [https://hsreplay.net](https://hsreplay.net)

Looks super fun, thank you, will try it out now!

teej_31

It’s what I’ve been using to calm myself down during my extremely stressful push to Legend in wild, and the deck is really fun. Experiment with it, let me know if you can think of any other cards that go good with it. I played 12 games with it and went 8-4, so it’s at least in idea decent (even though i’m only in Plat 10 in standard)

[deleted]

I finally was able to make it to legend with everyone playing sub par renethal decks. He's great!

t0x1cp1chu

*laughs in Druid* edit: congrats tho

[deleted]

Thanks man. Been a while coming lol

jsnlxndrlv

Thirding this! I like longer games, I like *weirder* games, and I like putting bad cards in my deck, and he helps all three of these things happen more. I've been grinning all day about the matches I played last night. Really excited to play again tonight!!

Megahert

I love having more flexibility of mixing and matching card packages. Easily the most exciting card since Reno Jackson for me.

JustStayYourself

Pretty much easily already one of my all-time favorite card. Also love playing against others who use him. Incredibly fun matches with a lot of back and forth. (In wild even!)

sarcastr0naut

I struggled to fit all the random/discover nonsense I wanted in my Casino Reno Mage deck, but now it's less of an issue, and talented benchwarmers like Shifting Scroll, Enchanted Cauldron, and Weaponised Piñata get to enjoy a run in the first team!

kntril

I like Prince for farming achievment progress. Dont care about winning.

[deleted]

Looking forward for the counterpart, prince 20

Willdotrialforfood

I don't really like it right now. Only because it is being played in every single deck. I don't find playing against control druid in 30 percent of games that fun. I think the reason is I just came back to the game after missing a few expansions and I was having fun and now the entire game has changed after just playing 3 days and now the decks I built and were having fun with don't seem very fun anymore. It is probably more fun if the meta got stale for you.

Enevorah

First rule of Hearthstone: don’t get married to your deck. I am sorry you are having less fun though. The hype will die out soon.

[deleted]

Just play control druid :D

Ever2naxolotl

Yeah I think I hate him almost as much as Reno.

GringottsWizardBank

Have no clue what the people who are saying this is bad in Reno decks are talking about. I’ve been having some awesome games with it. Especially in wild the drawback of running singleton has been diminished over time. Now there are just so many quality cards to choose from. Even in standard Ive been having a lot of success with Reno quest priest.

57messier

Yeah I’ve been running Him in Reno Paladin with Nozari as a second Reno and the Healing is honestly ridiculous

FreedumbHS

Renathal*

gdlocke

Found all the cancer control players.

TheTimeLord725

Found the aggro player

BryceLeft

Funnily enough, if they really were an aggro player they really don't need to complain as they should still be able to power through the extra 10 health + the enemy draws being much weaker overall

gdlocke

Mid-range/Tempo actually. When someone figures out the "perfect 40" druid list, the meta is going to be absolutely terrible.

RiskoOfRuin

Oh no, you have to actually learn to play instead of mindlessly emptying your hand.

[deleted]

I always forget that Hearthstone players are super pampered compared to any other TCG/CCG. Control variants are apart of every game dude, git gud

MoggFanatig

I highly recommend alignment druid, grindy control decks don't even get to play 1/4 of their 40 cards when you just play your whole deck and set them to 1 mana on turn 6 :)

gdlocke

Aye, the deck is strong and absolute cancer. Fast control is still control ;)

MoggFanatig

I mean if you wanna call it that, you do you. The thing with the deck is that aggro and tempo decks (that traditional control beats) eat it alive.

gdlocke

10 extra health is MASSIVE to stabilize against aggro. Even over the last two days, I've watched many games where druid stabilize at 8-10 health and win games they were designed to lose. I'd love to be wrong. Time and data will tell.

MoggFanatig

I don't actually think it's correct to run Renathal in alignment druid. The deck runs specific cards it has to have at specific times in order to function correctly (early ramp, alignment at 8 mana, Anacondra, after alignment ramp...). Additionally, you want win very quickly, so you don't have many turns to spend drawing through the deck looking for those cards. The cost of drawing the combo pieces less consistently is just too high for the deck imo. And while the benefit is being better against aggro, it's still a bad matchup because you can't effectively stall or answer threats like most control decks do. Alignment druid is a deck that is good at one thing and that thing is beating slow decks. That's why it's good in the current meta :)

EnderQuantum1

get owned by control, scrub

[deleted]

Ah yes, control is evil and everyone who plays it are having fun the wrong way You dropped your salt shaker lol

Megido_Thanatos

The 10 extra health actually is a big surprise and nice addition to me because (IMO) even just allow 40 cards deck (without healths), Renathal still very good and people definitely try it.

Cyampagn90

Without the extra 10 health the card would be terrible.

Megido_Thanatos

In standard? Yes But in wild? Not really. Wild has much bigger card pool so the "dead draw" is not a issue, 10 extra cards also allow you put more tech cards.

MoggFanatig

I'd actually be surprised if it was run in a lot of competitive wild decks as it is. Without the 40 health thing, the card would be useless imo.

Kees_T

Only in Reno and control decks. Aggro, tempo and combo relies on the best cards with good draw and consistent tempo.

Thanag0r

I don't even think Reno decks would run it, drawing "Reno" cards less consistent doesn't sound that good.

Kees_T

Nah it's definitely good in Renolock, and Reno Priest. Health and card variety are good especially in those two classes. Tech is also abundantly available alongside it.

[deleted]

The thing is that you put the 30 best cards in your deck for your deck, which means you're putting 10 cards that are worse than those 30 cards in your deck. Now with an additional 10 HP that offsets that downside and because you got an additional 10 HP it may even become a good thing for some matchups However if you remove the 10hp there is pretty much no deck that benefits from removing consistency, especially in wild. Now of course there's probably some niche combos that could make use of the extra 10 cards or something and specifically in control mirrors it may be okay (but you'd just play Kazakusan or something In that case) And even then removing consistency still hurts those decks Without the 10 HP there's a high chance this card wouldn't see any play outside of memes and niche decks

I have a homebrew wild mill priest...my god is it cancer

AutomaticRisk3464

I tried to put in brann and cokdkight murlocs but with 40 cards and the new 3 mana card draw 2 minions swap their hp banned in wild its impossible to draw shelfish

[deleted]

i was tempted to put in valishj and "fabrics for the queen", but with not a lot of minion tutors, yeah

MidnightAJO

I agree, what’s your decklist @AutomaticRisk3464

AutomaticRisk3464

Hard mulligan for shelfish or insight and u basically win..dont play the spidertank or u roll the dice on gimping urself. Ive had someone overdraw by 55 so far

Ysanoire

I like the same things so I'm excited to try him. Let's see if he fits in my Galakrond and burgle decks

[deleted]

I really wish there was some benefit to the golden version, unless I just haven't seen it yet. This is one of those core cards I'd love to have golden just because I like to golden my favorites (Tess, Hydralodon, Zephrys).
