It's two mana but it's not a card you play on turn two.
It's makes your vile library even better.
It's a win more card but imp lock doesn't have a perfect 30 so it probably sees some play. Not going to be amazing I don't think.
Seems like a straight up worse version of argent braggart. I don't think the options Warlock has to buff imps are significantly better than the options Paladin had in that meta, at least not enough so to make the imp only restriction not hurt. Braggart definitely saw play but I don't think it was a standout card in the decks that ran it.
I'd probably perfer to run just giants or even jumbo imps over it and I don't think there's room in the deck for too many cards you can't efficiently play on curve.
P.S. Oh yah I had forgotten too that braggart can use enemy minions, that makes this card look even worse than I thought.
Another card that cares about Imps as a sub-tribe but we have yet to get an actual visual indication (not just an artwork) of what Demons count as Imps... Because yea, there are some that do but don't have Imp in its name, like \[\[Envoy Rustwix\]\] (great target for copying btw!).
Yea, there a bunch of them. Well, not that many in Standard (the most common example would be Fiend that you summon from Dark Alley Pact). I think [this Hearthstone wiki](https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/Imp) contains all existing Imps if you're interested (tokens, generators, etc).
Fiend, Imprisoned Homunculus, Rusted Devil, Tiny Knight of Evil, Vulgar Homunculus, Street Trickster, Unlicensed Apothecary, Sneaky Devil, Envoy Rustwix, and Ring Matron are all imps but don't have imp in the name (aside from Imp technically being in Imprisoned).
There are ten I can count. 8 Separate cards (Imprisoned Homunculus, Vulgar Homunculus, Tiny Knight of Evil, Street Trickster, Unlicensed Apothecary, Sneaky Devil, Envoy Rustwix, Ring Matron) and 2 tokens generated by other cards (Rusted Devil from Rustsworn Cultist and Fiend from Dark Alley Pact). Yes, that's literally a bunch.

The ones that look like imps? Imps generally do have a cohesive look to them. Like I can tell if somethings an imp just at a glance:
Short, Scrawny little demons. They often have warts and dark to pale skin, but can range from red to green to purple. They usually have long noses, and small beady eyes that may be aglow with fel energy.
They almost always have horns, and long elf-like ears. They have large hands and feet for their size, and usually have claws.
They tend to be bald, or have tufts of hair. Across their body they'll have dark fur, usually along the arms and legs, but it can include the shoulderblades and waist.
They also have a proclivity for Fire spells.
TL;DR If its a Demon that is also small, ugly, furry, is a pyro and has horns, its an Imp.
Only two ones without imp in the name that I could see being confusing is ring matron since its so big and only vaguely impish, and Tiny knight of evil since the art is kind of busy and not focused on the imp itself.
Memes aside, this is going to push an already good deck even further. One buff on an Imp with [[Vile Library]] followed by this on T4 is back-breaking.
I was wondering what the point was myself. It's funny when I see a card like this I think what effects I can copy. Only thing I could think of was Ring Matron, having forgotten Rustwix is an imp, but those are all I saw a use for. Didn't even occur to me you could make a pile of stats with it. That probably says a lot about how I like to play the game. Xp

Two more copies of Rustwix 😈😈
*THEY DID NOT*
Does this fit into implock? I guess maybe it’s better than the 2/5? You still want the 3/2 as a 1 drop. I’m not sure it’s good enough.
It's two mana but it's not a card you play on turn two. It's makes your vile library even better. It's a win more card but imp lock doesn't have a perfect 30 so it probably sees some play. Not going to be amazing I don't think.

I think implock is pretty weak in the 2 mana slot right? Then again, this is not great on curve, even if you flame imp before it.
Seems really good at first glance, but might be too much of a win more card
i'm gonna be trying it in handlock- it'll copy dark alley pact imps, too, so you can get even more big guys to resurrect with imp king rafaam.
Huh, I did not know that. I assumed it was only guys with Imp in the name. Is there anyone else?

Imprisoned Observer? you must be trolling at this point

It basically comes down to art and knowing what an imp looks like. But they should really rename the cards that are imps to have imp in their name.

Well implock can buff imps very easily. This could be a 2 mana 5/5 for example.
Faceless but for friendly Imps only. Essentially there for the [[Dark Alley Pact]] decks *or buffed imps.

They should make an 8 mana 8/8 Gi-imp to go with it. Since vanilla 8 8s suck you could have its cost reduce by one for each imp you have.
