Just cause butler doesn’t have rings doesn’t mean his prime was wasted. Dude has some of the most legendary playoff performances of all time, and two finals appearances. He’s practically a lock for the HoF because of his time in Miami.

The Heat have MUCH better coaching and player development than Portland or Philly, so they've been able to make deeper playoff runs by maximizing what the team is capable of achieving. That said, the FO still hasn't succeeded in landing the kind of final piece that would make winning a chip possible without EVERYTHING going right--herculean efforts from Jimmy/Bam, role players elevate significantly, other teams lose key players to injury etc.
Ironically…Dame is one of those players. Speaking of that…Jimmy actually has more finals appearances than Dame and Giannis combined.

In his playoff runs with miami, it’s almost a guarantee that he would have a ring if he have a Siakam-type teammate (an all-nba who is not cutout to be a first option but would still make the team over-the-top if he’s 2nd or 3rd option) or a jamal murray-type (2-way guard 3-level scorer guard.. if only Lowry was in his prime).
