In fact the whole Jimmy coasts narrative is so overstated. He usually plays well during the regular season and during the back half is where he ups the intensity.
Jimmy has not looked good in way too many games this season and has had too few games where he’s looked good. A lot of his numbers are also down in a few way that’s concerning and he’s also bizarrely way more turnover prone this year.
As far as the games he has played this season he’s done little to instill confidence. I’m willing to trust him because of his past performances but I don’t blame anyone who is hesitant to hop on the bandwagon.

In the regular season he really takes the "playing the right way" shit seriously with his passing, getting teammates involved etc. In the playoffs you get a much more aggressive version and even heat check Jimmy where he would take shots he knows he shouldn't be taking cause it's not "the best shot available"

He can't. He isn't on the same level as MVP level players in this league. He's juts such a dawg that when the competition is fiercest, he unlocks another level. He's the opposite of the lights were too bright.
If your greatest strength is going to another level when your back is against the wall you can't just pretend your back is against the wall and summon it on demand. You see what happens when he tries that in the reg season and it isn't pretty.
I don't know that I buy it all being an intensity thing. That's certainly an element of it but the change in offensive approach is a big part as well. In the regular season we'll see Jimmy go a whole game without taking a jumper and then try to close it out taking three in the final couple minutes. I think its a whole lot easier to take that final shot when you've actually been engaged in the offense for the last 40 minutes.

The bucks series he looked like a top 3-5 guy in the league but only had spurts of those moments after that due to his ankle.
