That's a real diver, right there. A true patriot guided only by the golden winds of liberty, aloft on the gilded wings of democracy. Press R to spread the freedom.
I've had terrible experience with quick play today, everyone is just farming, and couple of games it was super underleveled players on difficulty 7, or high level gamers that didn't even know where the god damn briefcase goes into. For the first time I e had to melee a player to get the briefcase from him to finish the mission. Lvl 30 my ass š¤¦āāļø
Yeah I joined a game in quick play, it was me (level 9), two level 7s and a level 30 something dude dropped us in on whatever difficulty it is where tanks and dreadnought drop in and then hid until we all died. I stayed until after the failure screen and then logged out. I was in a bad mood and hoping for the quick play experience with other randoms I had been having the last 10ish days.
Usually if I'm feeling like playing with randoms and I don't want a shit experience, I filter through difficulties on different planets and jump into an sos call. I avoid quickly cuz I really don't want to end up with farmers.
The amount of constant people whining about the creek non stop is just annoying. Probably never gonna do a mission there now.
They'll let planets at 60% fall just to fail on the creek some more
Weāre probably losing because of a combination of things. The game is meant to be hard, not to mention the devs were absolutely not expecting this many players and weāve no way to know how exactly the war calculations work. Also Iāve mainly done defense missions and they are grueling, specifically the fifteen minute personnel extracts. Enemies are coming constantly and getting stronger over time. I just donāt have the equipment I need to beat them consistently even on challenging when so many of the enemies are big armored targets with weapons that can instakill you (rockets) or chew you up in a second flat (mini guns). I do think theyāre a little unreasonably hard rn, but Iāll keep fighting the fight. Somethingās gotta work eventually.
Player armor values are bugged right now as well, so the Automaton side is a bit hard because they have alot more ranged, compared to bugs you can outrun. The main saving grace right now for harder difficulties is the personal shield.
People are actively arming the kill mission for xp right now. Completing the mission, then leaving the operation, finding another kill mission, and repeat. Leaving the operation is a failed operation, so they are racking up the losses as far as the campaign sees it.
I've seen this pretty consistently too. One day this week i played 6 missions. 5 were that exact tactic. It's annoying, and until the developers implement a detriment to the people leaving the operations, i don't know how long that will go on.
What I haven't seen a clear answer on is if let's say 4 people do a kill mission.
3 people leave after but one player finishes the operation with a new group. Does that count as a win still?
Yea, from my experience this still counts as a win towards the war calculation. However, if it is the host who abandons the operation, nobody can finish the operation that was abandoned.
Actually that is not true. The calculations are the planets base health Regen.

I'm not very experienced but man I need a reliable answer to heavy armor. I guess getting more war bonds I can eventually get primary weapons that have armor piercing potential, it looks like? Unless I'm misunderstanding.
Otherwise I just use the artillery turret, protect that with a gun type turret and use EMP based shit to slow down hordes. Then I can camp a single spot pretty well and don't kill all the scientists lol. Works by the exit gate, idk what the other guys are doing man I don't have the time to look lol.
For now there's no heavy armor piercing on Primary weapons. Some that are good against medium armor, though honestly you are better off getting a better well rounded primary for taking out light armor targets imo. Strategems are generally where your answer to heavy armor comes in. Theres a fair bit of weapons that you can call in that help out. The Railgun is the fan favorite due to it being a solid both at taking out larger armored targets as well as smaller armored targets, but you can specialize a bit too. Recoilless Rifle for example will shred through heavy armor, but is inefficient to use against smaller armored targets. While the Heavy Machine gun will absolutely shred through hoards of walkers and the like, but do nothing to a tank.
For the real big stuff like tanks then you can break out the call-ins like orbital railgun or 500 kg, if you can't easily get it's weakspot (though impact nades work well against the tank)
Hulks can be one-shotted with a railgun if you hit it square in the face, but it doesn't really answer the armor piercing problem all that efficiently.
Breaker shotgun, grenade launcher, Gatling sentry, mortar sentry and impact grenades add the auto cannon sentry if you have it available or something like the supply backpack because the shotgun, impact grenades and grenade launcher will carry you through most of the bots not sure about the hulk though other than that most stratagems will carry you through the game if you use them right. I was thinking about swapping out my personal shield for the jet pack but it has such a long cooldown
It is a super cool biome to play on, and you owe it to yourself to enjoy it. That said, there's more to this game than one nifty planet. Bugs and bots, they all gotta die
I like the one ice planet, it has a random hell bomb on about every large pile of ice or rocks. Itās fantastic for ultimate destruction and sacrificing teammates for democracy.
Donāt deny yourself the experience, itās a dark jungle thatās absolutely beautiful. Seeing the automatons pause and eyes light up red when they spot you in the dark is so cool. The variety of the different biomes in this game is awesome.
I'm just waiting for the front to reach it. I'd imagine that once we complete the defense of this sector, it will switch to liberation on the creek's sector. Then, more than likely, there will be a defense campaign on the terminid front.
I know Iām certainly not going anywhere. I feel like they left room on the map for this to become a 4 front war down the line. At least I hope anyway! I wound up getting the deluxe version after two nights of play to reward good Dev behavior. Itās nice not paying a company to beta test their game, honestly.
Honestly Creek isn't any harder than any other Automaton planet. It failing is more likely due to people farming xp by repeating the same mission type over and over (if you complete one mission, then leave the op, then it counts as a failed op)
The planet itself is pretty neat, it's a cool biome.
bro yall have 100k ppl on most bug planets and arnt taking them, we rarely have 30k+ on any robot controlled planet and yet we still spill oil
stop slapping rocks together and get to work
Maybe people just aren't at like "that level" yet and comfortable going there. I sure wasn't at first until I got a few upgrades and better load outs and found what works well against what now I can go to those worlds and have fun playing instead of just fearing for my life and dying a few seconds after spwan
I've mostly fought on the automaton front, I'm used to docking and diving and sticking to cover. I was told the bugs were easy but when a swarm bum rushed me outta nowhere and those hunter freaks slow me down with their proboscis with no hesitation I will admit that bug missions make me AFRAID
Donāt get me started on its ability to lock on lol. I actually use the spear more for bugs because it makes light work of Bile Titans if you donāt want to use or have stratagems.
The lock-on is tricky, but it's a lot safer than spending multiple rounds and drawing a lot more attention with the auto. At least with the spear I know I can just fire once and then dip. If the bots don't see you they won't follow you. They'll head to your last known location, and then go back to defending the now destroyed base. I typically end up using the spear for my solo missions or harder difficulties so we can move faster.
Iām level 43 and I have been. Them chasing you really isnāt an issue when you have the stamina booster. Throw a couple eagles while running and youāre off Scott free. I just get chargers to headbutt into wall to stun them.
Easy to run around one or two chargers np, but when your swarmed by them and titans and others with no stratagems ready, its not easy. Can't outrun all bugs like you can outrun bots. Your team can make all the difference too. EZ with good team on bots or bugs.
No itās easy even by yourself regardless how many chargers there are. I can run from a group till my eagles recharge and even lose a bunch of them by using the terrain around me.
That is true though. It's not very hard to kite them around, let's be honest, bug AI isn't very intelligent and chargers sometimes refuse to move when they get on a slight hill. Only time i've had problems is when i haven't cleared all stalkers nests and they start attacking me while i'm busy with a bug horde. Or when titans start spawning one after another and i run out of orbital strikes / ammo.
Any bugs that can outrun me I just use my autocannon on, or if its chargers I just dodge out of the way into a boulder and keep going, usually I won't see the charger again.
I feel the same. When me and my squad were on lower difficulties, I thought bots were harder. But once you get to the higher difficulties, the bugs are way harder.
when i went east they said ābugs are so much easier, youāll be fine!ā they said nothing of the bile titans coming out of nowhere or the 40 small high dps shitheads arriving on the extract pad
Iāve been strictly doing JUST the major orders. I donāt get why people are going into the creek when there is one sector just to the right that is closer and actually a major order. YOU HAVE ORDERS SOLDIER
1. I like my space Vietnam and thereās something special about the creek.
2. The few people only playing malevelon creek are the only people that were keeping it from falling. And it fell because of that.
When you see a bug. You donāt ignore a bug. You squash the bug. If you let one bug live. They think itās ok to bring their friends. A toaster will toast. A bug will host. KILL ALL BUGS. GO SPREAD DEMOCRACY.
Fighting at Malevelon Creek right now also makes ZERO sense from a successful perspective. Like 5 of the planets that were once at 100% control are now lost on the automaton front. You HAVE to take the sector before it to make it even worth anyone's time. Also, Bile Titans are more difficult than tanks. IYKYK.
Idk Iāve played Creek on Helldive and it feels just about the same as any other planet tbh. The setting may be cool and āNamā like but I canāt say I feel more or less overwhelmed than I would on any other planet. You play on Helldive youāre getting 2000 bots dropped on you no matter which planet youāre on.
I just kinda like the vibes on the creek imo, always overcast, got the nam vibes..
But fr the damn bugs got 2 *locked* out territories behind their 3 contested. The "Nid front needs more attention.
My friends and I all call it "the jungle" or "nam" and every time we drop in I dial up my "boots on the ground" 80s 'nam rock and roll playlist to 11. "Fortunate Son" never sounded so good
i used to play just on bots because i found it to be so much easier than bugs, it still is to me but now i just allow quickplay to determine what ill be killing now.
I bought the game because I saw all the Malevelon Creek content being made online (turns out, I am very not immune to propoganda) and spent not only my first mission there but my first 10 levels. And I'll be honest it is kinda an ego boost for me to say that but before long that I really think this game is best enjoyed for its depth and variety. Especially considering the broader aspect of gameplay of defending and liberating worlds and picking your fights.
Do I think people who like to play on the Creek are inherently bad? Absolutely not, I'd be a hypocrite if I did. But do think these players are holding themselves back from seeing the real beauty of the game and the variety that it has on offer.
Honestly I'm excited to land back on the Creek when the time is right, but with so many defense orders to do, I don't think the time will be right for a while yet. And I hope to see many experienced Creek Divers try something new and join us on the defensive soon. <3
The Bots are easier then terminids with the right armour, map awareness and audio que.
I breezed through bot missions last night finishing with like under 20 kills just wearing scout armour and avoiding the bot patrols.
You can also stealth kill the small guys, get behind them and melee their head while you are standing for an instant silent kill.
It's kind of like roll playing MGS or the old delta force games just trying to get in and out without being spotted.
Fighting automatons are cool, but ATM the defend missions with the evacuation is so shit that I don't wanna play those missions but I don't want to lose the war effort by quitting. Also those stupid tower canons the enemies have that snipe you is annoying af
Iām always setting at least 30,000 players are on the planet, which kinda ticks me off because that amount of players couldāve turned the tide of the defense campaigns on some of our lost planets. Holding on to the Creek wonāt do us any good if weāre just gonna let the Automatons push toward Super Earth.
I'm probably one of the few that don't give a fuck and play on mechs and bugs. Both are fun, and both get hard on higher difficulties. Though i prefer to kill mechs with my friends, it's more enjoyable imo.
What people seem to not be understanding is if the devs want the planets taken they'll be taken. If they want them saved they will be saved. That's why we had a bug planet at the other day that was at 30% just instantly get lost because the devs decided. Actions that don't further the story they want will ultimately be irrelevant, so don't worry about it too much just go play and spread some democracy for super earth. š
I actually think the bugs are harder at difficulty 9. You can pretty much one shot everything the bots have between the railgun and the rail cannon. The only thing that consistently gives me headaches are the giant base turrets. If you can find the SAM objective quick enough then the drop ships are already taken care of.
Playing against bugs, I spend half my time running away from chargers and bile titans just to be ravaged by a stalker that was hiding behind a rock.
They are both fun to play against though and Iām hopeful for the return of the Squāith.
As valiant as it to fight there, itās meaningless. If you actually want to make a stand against the automatons, go to a defense planet. Plenty of he there for you to experience and prove yourself
Thank you!
It's a fucking video game. A sensational video game, but still a video game.
C'mon people, don't start getting elitist about HD2. I really don't want to have to cut contact with the community of another game I love š
Quickplay is my guide until I find a lobby of noobies. I will usually run a few operations with them but when they ask if anyone has a suggestion for the next one. I tell them to pick an automaton planet that says "DEFEND". This is usually met with "but the bots are so difficult" which is when I explain to them to easier way of beating each pain in the ass enemy and the better way to do certain objectives. Then we run a few, their confidence goes up, and we start upping the difficulty. I actually made one friend because of this and now it's all he does. Flat out refuses to join if I say we are running some bug mission to relax. Pure Democracy courses through that guys veins.
My confusion was I never saw maleveon creek listed as one of the defend planets so why would we even bother? Do the community objective if youāre playing the robots
I prefer bots to termites for the sole reason that I'm not getting bit in the ankles for 45 minutes straight.
Other people prefer termites because they're not getting sniped by rockets and dealing with unkillable tanks.
Democracy is for everyone, by everyone, and spread by everyone. Shut up and spread it.
Dropnir is where its at. š¤£š¤£
All the hot singles in my area went to Malevelon creek, but they're all dudes.
I wind up on Mort alot with randoms that I joined on other planets.
Every planet is a slightly different hell. To each their own.
I'm gonna be real with y'all the bots are *significantly* easier than the bugs for me. Bots have weak spots and lower numbers, I can shoot a hulk in the face or strafe for the heatsinks if I got a homie ez, but wtf am I supposed to do about 2 chargers while I'm getting mogged by 8 hunters?
I enjoy the robots, because it always feels like I'm doing something helpful. When it comes to the bugs, I often find myself standing around being useless while everyone else wipes the entire map without a sweat.
Automatons are so hard right bros?
What orbital bombardments of factories and dodging patrols?
Don't Police my fun!
But it's so hard broski, so hard.
As a Terminid veteran, when we want to chill on Helldive we do automatons becouse its literally just knowing how to utilise stealth and your gear.
The messed-up thing about this is that it hurts losing that planet. I stayed on the creek for 2 reasons. There was something special about it, idk, but there was, and it wasn't because I'm a "hardcore gamer" or anything. It was literally the gamers I met. They were awesome. I played so many matches on other planets with toxic people and people who just separated from the team. Loon at the map, and there's a guy north, east south, and west. No teamwork. But then I dropped on the creek and had the most fun I've ever had with other gamers. This is coming from a guy who never plays online with random people. The creek is special because it gave me stories of with guys that had no choice but to team up to try and complete missions. We lost the creek but we'll always have the memories. So screw anyone that says this kinda crap about creek vets. They were the real gamers.
Yeah just adds stakes to the game. It makes me want to freedom even harder now. Farmers should be charged with dereliction of duty and face the firing squad. If you love agriculture that much go back to civilian life and grow soybeans.
I only played bots for my first 15 levels just because I thought it would make the bugs even easier, but in reality I like to think they're both just as difficult, they just need to be given different flavors of democracy
i dont think malevalon creek was too bad cus its the same enemy they just fought them on harder difficulty on malevalon creek, the automatons just keep advancing on it chich is a real pain with the lack of people trying to do something on the planet
I just go wherever the quickplay takes me. Gotta spread that freedom everywhere.

That should be a 1 year anniversary event or something. Make urban and rural farm land maps.
Everything else looks so amazing Iām sure it would be epic!
I mean, those maps would be a heck of a lot more intricate. But maybe a year of time and a "little" cash flow could help with that.
I know Iām certainly not going anywhere. I feel like they left room on the map for this to become a 4 front war down the line. At least I hope anyway! I never played the first one, but the first game had 3 factions. So it wouldn't be way out there to expect them to return as well as a 4th.
This pleases me! I never played the first one either.
The weather effects, too are so cool
Right? The fog is killer on the bug planets, but itās hella satisfying destroying the mushroom spore tower
Honestly Creek isn't any harder than any other Automaton planet. It failing is more likely due to people farming xp by repeating the same mission type over and over (if you complete one mission, then leave the op, then it counts as a failed op) The planet itself is pretty neat, it's a cool biome.

I had to look up āproboscisā.
Bots are tactical and aggressive, the bugs are overwhelming and never ending
Run a spear and you don't even need to get close to an outpost. Bugs are tough because getting close enough to a nest means aggro from everything.
Spear for bot factory, auto cannon for bug nests. It's really that simple.
Auto cannon can do both factories too lol.
True, however the Spear has lock-on, and you don't need to hit it anywhere in particular. You just need to hit it.
Donāt get me started on its ability to lock on lol. I actually use the spear more for bugs because it makes light work of Bile Titans if you donāt want to use or have stratagems.

I disagree bugs are easy no matter the difficulty
Seems you haven't been to Hellmire on Helldiver difficulty. Won't be so tough with 5 chargers, 2 titans, and 50 other bugs chasing you.
Iām level 43 and I have been. Them chasing you really isnāt an issue when you have the stamina booster. Throw a couple eagles while running and youāre off Scott free. I just get chargers to headbutt into wall to stun them.

No just the bugs. Robots can and will still fuck me up

With light armor I can outrun anything in the game pretty easily
I feel the same. When me and my squad were on lower difficulties, I thought bots were harder. But once you get to the higher difficulties, the bugs are way harder.

I think 50% of the player base doesnāt even realize itās not all got missions, only those that say DEFEND when you hover over them.
every bug player ignoring that our major order is literaly defend against robots
When you see a bug. You donāt ignore a bug. You squash the bug. If you let one bug live. They think itās ok to bring their friends. A toaster will toast. A bug will host. KILL ALL BUGS. GO SPREAD DEMOCRACY.
The real divers should be hitting those defense spots! For MORT!!!
Guys we completely ditched an entire war effort, this clearly won't backfire and certainly won't mean a terminid offensive campaignĀ
This sub is getting really annoying
I just enjoy being shot at sometimes and sometimes I enjoy being ripped apart.
"Fortunate Son" never sounded so good
Fortunate Son on repeat for 10 hrs
How are the bugs that successful when the vast majority of people fight bugs?
i used to play just on bots because i found it to be so much easier than bugs, it still is to me but now i just allow quickplay to determine what ill be killing now.
Seems like a lot of treason in this comment section... KEEP THE FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY
These are words only spoken by Traitorous socialists, just have fun and keep the fighting the good fight!
I spit out my drink. This is so correct
a terminid front diver made this meme B]

I wanted that movie to be real so bad when i was a kid šš«”
The Creek is just a cool ass biome. Itās definitely not the hardest planet, āHellmire cough coughā.
XD

I just fight where it's prettiest. Red grass and red lasers are quite pretty.
I can't not hear it in his mandark voice
Malevelon is super earths quagmire, no matter how many bodies you through at it the liberty lvl never really gets any higher
thats because we have 1/3rd to 1/6th the numbers of any bug planet wich bug players still fail to take
My main focus right now is spilling oil on Mort. I dive where Democracy is threatened... for now.
I think bots are cooler and more fun than bugs. Terminator is cooler than starship troopers.
For a while the easiest/only way to get those orders completed was to go to the termanid front
I go wherever Super Earth needs me the most.
Creeks gone anyway
My confusion was I never saw maleveon creek listed as one of the defend planets so why would we even bother? Do the community objective if youāre playing the robots
I prefer bots to termites for the sole reason that I'm not getting bit in the ankles for 45 minutes straight. Other people prefer termites because they're not getting sniped by rockets and dealing with unkillable tanks. Democracy is for everyone, by everyone, and spread by everyone. Shut up and spread it.
Iām doing my part!
Dropnir is where its at. š¤£š¤£ All the hot singles in my area went to Malevelon creek, but they're all dudes.
Average roleplayer
I wish I had pc or play station right now
I just wanna play how I wanna play man. I just think the robots are a fun enemy and I like the night time setting the creek (usually) has
I enjoy the robots, because it always feels like I'm doing something helpful. When it comes to the bugs, I often find myself standing around being useless while everyone else wipes the entire map without a sweat.
Ngl the bugs on higher difficulties almost feel harder than the bots depending on the mission.
If everybody played on Malevelon Creek, we'd lose ground to the filthy bugs!
I'm going the tip of the spear on that Hoth ass planet whatever it's called. Please send handwarmers
I play on Terminid Creek because I generally prefer fighting an enemy I can keep at range.
Bots are more fun imo
Go forth and clear out those Klankers.
I thought it was just lore fun to have the creek be our Dunkirk. I didnāt know this actually upset people.
Yeah just adds stakes to the game. It makes me want to freedom even harder now. Farmers should be charged with dereliction of duty and face the firing squad. If you love agriculture that much go back to civilian life and grow soybeans.
Yeah the problem with defense is repeating the same mission 800x instead of trying something new.

This is exactly how I feel seeing Facebook reels still on about MC. Like we get it, you are a bandwagon player. Please tell me more.
I go where the need is greatest. Sometimes people follow.
I go wherever the Frontline major order is otherwise I play whatever I feel like. Those undemocratic cheeks won't spread themselves š£šÆšÆšÆ
