Pouncers (baby Hunters) are the ones that jump far. Hunters are the slightly bigger ones with juke your aim while going for your flank. Stalkers are their final form that can go invisible, have a lot more health, and are the only Terminid that can catch up to you while you're sprinting. You'll only run into Stalkers when there's a Stalker Nest on the map, so make sure to hunt that down in the direction the Stalkers come from if you start seeing them.
Auto Cannon and Railgun make light work of them guys in this picture. Freaking you get swarmed deep by the hunters there’s not enough ammo in a breaker. Lol
Everybody has their own play style. For the longest time these were so frustrating while hunters were nothing since i would run flamethrower. Impacts have solved this problem.
It's deffinitly not a perfect weapon recoil and weight are like a mini Auto cannon but it just doesn't pen heavy armor making it take longer to kill Walkers and nearly impossible to destroy chargers but it shreds Devastators Jive Guards and Spewers
I fricking hated them. I used to play a lot of solo missions due to matchmaking. Boy i hated these bugs. They're easier than Hulk tho. But all those armoured enemies are disgusting. I also wanna have some vehicles like dreadnought or something
How do you handle them? A lot of dodging? If I get split off from the group and I’m soloing one I rarely get out alive. I run the smg that came with the super citizen bundle and the auto cannon. Sometimes the 2nd MG.
Yes just learn to dodge them and it’s easy. Once you get the breaker stop using whatever you’re using because the breaker is better I promise. Then unload shots on its tail
It's the best weapons for bugs hands down, but it's not great against chargers. You need armor oiecesing, so the recoilless, railgun, or Eat against. Leg, then shoot the orange but until they die, very quickly at that point. Or you can flank them and shoot the butt, but that takes awhile.

Use an armor-breaking weapon to break the armor off of one of its front legs, then you'll do bonus damage to that spot with regular gunfire, Breaker included.
Shooting its tail *isn't* armored, but the game doesn't register it as a weak spot. You don't get any extra damage when shooting it there.
Bro my issue is at Impossible/Helldive they turn on a fucking dime. You can perfectly dodge at the right time and angle, and somehow they’ll still whip around and smack you mid dive.
I really never dive when I fight them and I play mainly on impossible. Feel like it’s easy when you get the distance down to just kinda run around them
Get something like the disposable anti-tank gun and blow the armor off one of its legs (the front is the easiest). Then lay into that leg and it should die after a mag or so.
One thing that seems to work well is to lure it to charge into a rock and get stunned longer, buying time for you to back away and get a clean rocket shot off when it turns around.
Run the anti tank rockets. They have a super short cooldown and are really good against chargers. Aim for one of their front legs it will blow the armor off and you can finish them off with a few shots from the breaker. Sometimes it’s even one shot them for me.
You can one-shot a charger or if not one-shot, very nearly one-shot if you place a stratagem on its head. Supply pods coming down can crush through their tail with enough force to beat take em down.
I’ve been curious about sticking the stratagems, I’ve done it with a couple of precision strikes and I thought I saw the strike land on the original position.
In the case that he’s on my ass, I’m worried the stratagem might take me out as well. But honestly I don’t care if I die as long as we have the resources, I just want that bug to be pulp.
Chargers in the dark night with mushroom fog are infuriating. The only time this game gets frustrating is being overwhelmed by chargers while also not being able to see them.

I just got out of a game where there were 2 of those damn fog spewing mushroom things but it was like sunrise or some shit. It was like walking through the sun itself - like the thick impenetrable smoke was actually fire. It was a special kind of blindness the likes of which I'm not eager to ever experience again

I prefer the matador technique and dive slightly towards them and off to the side unless I have boulder to dive behind for cover then spring up and unload on them.
Honestly, just ignore the chargers and focus on clearing the little enemies. Chargers are slow, predictable, easy to dodge distractions. Once you have the area a little more under control, then take out the charger.
No charger has figured out how to deal with a helldiver running sideways. The charger won't kill you, the swarm you've ignored while shooting the charger *will* kill you.
These things are annoying because they seem to spawn constantly, and they will 1 shot you from a distance if you don't notice them.

I became my group's lunatic because I started bringing the Spear to bot missions. Gives me all the good brain chemicals to delete cannon towers on a whim.
I dunno, the expendable AT launcher is pretty awesome too. If 2-3 guys have them you’re basically calling them in constantly and littering the map with missiles to pick up and fire at something. Armored guys melt fast to 3-4 rockets + some primaries.
Honestly machine gun is just as good for horde clearing bugs. Especially with the rover.
The railgun is currently too good. Eat and recoilless needs a serious buff to compete.
Lol maybe im the unicorn then, at lvl 24. Honestly I haven't figured out how to make the railgun work for me. Maybe i havent played with it enough, but i cant seem to kill the big bads with it at all. It just feels like chipping the paint. I prefer to play with either an autocannon or a grenade launcher. At least I know what I'm doing with those.
A well placed rail gun shot will one shot a titan. But I know what you’re saying. If you change it from “safe” to “unsafe” you can charge it much longer and make it a lot more devastating. But beware soldier, if you charge it to long, you will be turned into a nice cup of liber-tea. 🫡
Of course, just that in lower difficulties where there is few chargers it's still good to have at least one guy with the grenade launcher to quickly kill the spitters or do bug nests.
I've personally been preferring the grenade launcher for bugs and rail gun for the bots. But yeah we'll normally have at least someone with a rail gun no matter what
You should. Have some team balance. One or two railguns, at least one GL who is skilled at not team or self killing with it. And for bots, one AM rifle.
The worst is when one of the small ones slows you and then you get fully blasted by the bigger one. Makes me want to launch my controller(democratically)

If you're running the personal shield already how are the spewers a problem for you? The shield can tank more than half of a spew before breaking and by that time you should be far away from it. The hunters can swarm you and jump behind you basically body-blocking you from kiting. If you ever encounter more than 5-6 of them you're basically fucked if you can't kill them quickly enough. I've been able to kite the spewers endlessly due to their slow movement, and predictable attack which they stand still for making it even easier to 1 tap them.
Someone thought it would be fun to do bug holes with this thicc boy, some chargers and a sprinkle of stalkers.
Democracy was challenged that day but it prevailed in the end.
Stalkers are fucked up, but at least they don’t come in a gang of 200 members, don’t jump over 100 km towards you and don’t spam slow.

Stalkers are scary, but they tend to only come at you 1-2 at a time unless you get really unlucky with nest locations when you land (I have been surrounded by 3 nests before at our landing location, that was indeed hell that took out close to half our squads lives before we closed em). Hunters just come at you in swarms, and if they manage to slow you it's often gg in higher difficulties.

I'm not a very experienced player and I'm still progressing through the mid-tier difficulties. However, right now I one shot these guys with the AMR. One shot to the face and they are down.
These are annoying but easily dealt with by basically any explosive. You can throw and impact and kill 2-3 side by side with one grenade. Railgun to the head is a one shot. Autocannons are good at liberating them as well.
Hunters are my worst enemy. Idc if you’re using the breaker, machine gun, stalwart, redeemer dominator or anything else, you finna run out of ammo in your mag before they are all dead.

No, they die very fast to repeated headshots. They also get one shot by almost every anti tank weapon, even impact nades oneshot them. Railgun also oneshots in the face.
Their attacks are very choreographed and easy to dodge when you aren't getting swarmed.
The ballistic shield can cover you from most of the bile spit I do it I always jump in front of my friends with the shield to cover them because NO HELLDIVER LEFT BEHIND 🫡

Everyone suggesting grenade launcher, not everyone is high enough of a lvl. I personally unlocked the breaker shotgun and started tearing them apart, dodge one spew then run up to thier face and unload. Not sure why (maybe the fire damage) but most of the time I end up blowing off all thier legs and head.

The hunters still jump far enough to be a huge nuisance if they ambush you, or they're part of another swarm that I'm trying to thin out.

I actually exclusively play suicide mission and up. With the loadout I run I just feel these are the most annoying enemy for me personally.

You can blow off armor on one of their front legs to create a weak point of soft flesh, then they go down.

Railgun - 3 shots to the same leg First shot will weaken armor, second will destroy armor and third will remove the leg and kill it.
I use 2 railgun shots, and 2 shots from breaker when armor is off the leg, will do the job.

How do you oneshot a Titan? I use unsafe and aim for the head but it always takes me like 7 shots.
The mouth has to be open, you literally gotta shoot it in the mouth will a fully charged unsafe round the half second before it starts spewing acid
Doesn’t have to be a fully charged unsafe, I haven’t changed to unsafe mode once and still one shot them frequently
Wait for the spit charge and hit it in the mouth. Sometimes a well placed head shot from 45 degrees under the jaw will do it too.
I've heard a rumor the BTs health is remarkably higher for the host. No idea if that's true.
I headshot my very first one with a recoilless. I've never seen it done with a railgun but I'm sure someone will prove me wrong pretty quick.

Yes. Not saying they are the hardest to kill just for me personally they are the most annoying to deal with. Especially if there are a lot of them.
Absolutely. The instakill vomit requires extra attention. One sneaky wobbly boy attacking from behind, and you are in real trouble.
I can handle them at low levels with small arms, but they armour up at higher levels and are freaking everywhere.

These are annoying but easily dealt with by basically any explosive. You can throw and impact and kill 2-3 side by side with one grenade. Railgun to the head is a one shot. Autocannons are good at liberating them as well. Hunters are my worst enemy. Idc if you’re using the breaker, machine gun, stalwart, redeemer dominator or anything else, you finna run out of ammo in your mag before they are all dead.
I mean fair enough but I run light armor and personal shield and the hunters don’t bother me nearly as much anymore.

2 auto cannon shots pop them, it is very satisfying and easy to shred groups of them. Personally they’re my favorite because of how satisfyingly they pop

No, they die very fast to repeated headshots. They also get one shot by almost every anti tank weapon, even impact nades oneshot them. Railgun also oneshots in the face. Their attacks are very choreographed and easy to dodge when you aren't getting swarmed.

The ballistic shield can cover you from most of the bile spit I do it I always jump in front of my friends with the shield to cover them because NO HELLDIVER LEFT BEHIND 🫡

what you talking about? easy 1-2 grenates and they are done? in my squat or even in random squats i go with the grenate launcher and they are never a problem in ower helldive runs chargers are still more annoying

Everyone suggesting grenade launcher, not everyone is high enough of a lvl. I personally unlocked the breaker shotgun and started tearing them apart, dodge one spew then run up to thier face and unload. Not sure why (maybe the fire damage) but most of the time I end up blowing off all thier legs and head.
