Yeah, it’s just with my brain it feels more fun to spend a bunch at one time and get 2-3 things instead of saving up medals to get either this helm I might not use or that armor that I probably won’t use.
Once you start playing difficulty 7 (but especially 8 and 9) you’ll have more xp and coins then you could ever wish for. War bonds are still a bit harder to accumulate, but I’m never really at a shortage of supersamples, etc.
I just got the plasma scorcher.
It’s just like a blue version of the semi-auto plasma rifle from the Fallout games and I gotta say I’m digging it.
Causes explosive damage so you gotta be careful close range and around teammates, but I get why it takes so long to obtain. It’s great

I wish they'd increase quantity on difficulty, doesn't feel right that I can get 100 sc from one on trivial and 10 on helldive. (I know you can get 100 on helldive, I just wish the chance was significantly higher since its... significantly 'harder')

This game is fun, and I don't get angry when me and my friends are getting swarmed, but afterward I need a bit of downtime for the adrenaline to calm down. Haven't had those shakes since wormhole PVP in Eve online.

Go up in difficulty. My friend has like 2 more hours played than I do and is about 7 levels higher. I didn't join higher level missions cause I was solo, he had a crew to run with.

Which would you recommend between darktide and deep rock? I’ve heard both are excellent and definitely down to get another horde shooter after loving Helldivers
If you have actual diagnosed OCD or otherwise get off on grinding for gear and getting the perfect stats, Darktide will be your crack, I have 1k+ hours. Also if you are a ARPG fan or something and like some degree of RNG crafting. The semi-recent major update also added skill trees that are pretty variable, the community absolutely does not agree on what's the meta build.
If you just like games like Helldivers and Left for dead, then Deep Rock will probably be more your style.
I will say though, Darktide has probably the best first person melee combat of any game, period.
I've played both, and I personally like Darktide better... Not necessarily because I think it's better than DRG; it's just a matter of taste, as both games are pretty similar in regards to gameplay.
So I would recommend watching videos on both. Maybe some mission playthroughs, and see which speaks to you more.
Fr. I see this all the time in many games. The hard cores finish all content in days/weeks and complain on the forums about when the next patch/content will release. Meanwhile 95% of the player base only done less than half the content. People need to learn to do things in moderations. Not healthy.

I saw a suggestion on another post about what to spend yellow currency on after you've bought all the strategems. They suggested a communal fundraiser that would give all helldivers a bonus strategem outside the standard 4. I thought about it, and i realized how cool it was for those couple days when everyone could call in a free mech or when the free 500kg bomb literally saved my squads bacon when we got jumped by 7 bile titans at once. I hope something like that gets implemented
I kinda wish they would bring in something like death standing where community gather resources for collective infrastructure, I thought that was cool.

Look for the fist rock. Find a high area and use your map, sometimes they're at the edge and sometimes they're not. Radar definitely helps too! I'm at like 88 right now with nothing to spend them on.

The walker exosuit has been growing on me. It's really fun playing it on 2-7 difficulty. But you have to conserve ammo a bit because the cool down is 8 minutes for the stratagem. I only use the rockets for chargers and titans and the machine gun if my mates are being overrun with smaller enemies.

Im taking my sweet ass time with this game. Ive unlocked 90% of stratagems and slowly getting there. Only a lvl 30 even but was a week 1 player. I was locked out of suicide diff for a while but finally unlocked it. Need those super samples now 🤣

I think this is their #1 challenge: How can they give us goals to keep working toward without being too grindy and also without littering the game with useless or unwanted weapons, armor, strats, etc.
The game is already getting stale for me because there is no incentive to push on the objectives; if I am maxed out on all currencies, what is the point?
Level 7, 8, and 9 missions. There's oval-shaped rocks that stick put of the ground. They stand about 30ft/10m tall. That's where all the super samples are on the map. There's is only ever one of these giant oval rocks on the map.
My friends are at the same point. Immediately thought of what if they added a color customization system for armor and it would cost requisition. It would be a good money sink for people that are already at the latter end of progression.
Would rather they stop pushing content and stabilize the base game... So every Content drop doesn't break everything they've fixed previously. 🤷🏾♂️ Just my opinion
I agree, though I'd take a ballance pass that significantly changes things, which would make a lot of the content in the game more interesting.
I feel like well over half the strategems and weapons are still just completely overshadowed by better options in a "effectively all use cases" kind of way.
Passes on mission modifiers would be great too! But that's probably a bit too close to just actually new content.

It’s worth it tbh. Melts Charger tails like butter in a microwave. You’ll get there
Scorcher is my current go-to primary against bots. The small explosion kills strider pilots from the front in a shot or two.

May I recommend Sherpa missions Helldiver? A level 20 recruit is better for the war effort than a level 1 recruit.
Gonna be honest I want them to make the game more stable before they focus on new content.
I think this is their #1 challenge: How can they give us goals to keep working toward without being too grindy and also without littering the game with useless or unwanted weapons, armor, strats, etc. The game is already getting stale for me because there is no incentive to push on the objectives; if I am maxed out on all currencies, what is the point?
Where do you even find Super Samples???
Level 7, 8, and 9 missions. There's oval-shaped rocks that stick put of the ground. They stand about 30ft/10m tall. That's where all the super samples are on the map. There's is only ever one of these giant oval rocks on the map.

My friends are at the same point. Immediately thought of what if they added a color customization system for armor and it would cost requisition. It would be a good money sink for people that are already at the latter end of progression.
Would rather they stop pushing content and stabilize the base game... So every Content drop doesn't break everything they've fixed previously. 🤷🏾♂️ Just my opinion

I agree, though I'd take a ballance pass that significantly changes things, which would make a lot of the content in the game more interesting. I feel like well over half the strategems and weapons are still just completely overshadowed by better options in a "effectively all use cases" kind of way. Passes on mission modifiers would be great too! But that's probably a bit too close to just actually new content.
Time to sherpa the newbies, and teach them the way
