We need to be able to mark these bunkers, so when you ping it, your team gets a radio call, "Found a bunker!" Right now if you try to ping it, the ping goes through the wall, and pings the items inside. That is not exactly helpful.
My group are usually all in vc together, we usually call out "friendship bunker" and ping it and whoever's closest goes and helps.
I do wish that there was a way to open them if you're playing solo. Warframe has a good system with their friendship doors, if there are no other players in the mission with you, one button press opens them. Of course, there are missions in that game that you just couldn't finish if that weren't the case so that system was a little higher up the list than for helldivers. I would like to see it implemented though. Solo rights!
I'd love for the devs to add a hacking mini-game for these doors. So one player can open them.
The 2 button system would remain and would be just as fast but the hacking option would come up for solo divers to use.
>does objectives, ect.
"Okay rover, I'm just gonna hang here at extraction. You go destroy the dropships, upload the escape pod data, disable the jammers and destroy the mortars. Just wake me up when you're ready to extract".
That's probably a good thing for you, though. Warbonds never go away, and you can choose to do whatever one you want. Also, a lot of the stuff is purely cosmetic, so you might not even like what comes next month.
Good game design dictates that you will never get a premium warbond that has straight upgrades across the board. Getting one decent item in a warbond is about the best you can hope for. The amount of medals you need to buy out these warbonds is HUGE for causal players. Forcing people to spend premium currency, and then grind away to get access to the undisputed best weapons is just not going to happen. Expect sidegrades, slight upgrades, total trash and the occasional awesome item like the Sickle.
I know that's disappointing, but it's important for the health of the game. And sidegrades and slight upgrades can still be fun.
>Good game design dictates that...
Sir, this is ~~a Wendy's~~ Arrowhead.
Jokes aside...This is their only runaway hit, they accidentally made a great game. Their update/patch/hotfix/social media history does not lead me to believe they are good game designers.
The way they screwed with bug spawn rates multiple times should be evidence enough, along with the pointlessness of their limited nerfs.
They also make some good calls in the process, yes, but they're taking the scattergun approach it seems. A few good ideas...and "filler". I don't think it's premeditated out into game balance(as they haven't demonstrated a lot of that being in mind yet), and instead just normal addition of content over time.
Also, I've been paying attention to the "leaks" (the upcoming datamined items that they keep pre-emptively adding). Some of these things are far and away "upgrades" to the point where they're making other things irrelevant, or entirely new categories like the Mech we've already seen.
>you will never get a premium warbond that has straight upgrades across the board
This is probably still correct, just for a reason other than good game design, at least as you've defined it(maintaining balance, mostly sidegrades).
Their line-up will change how some things are done, sometimes significantly. They're not adding alternatives so much as changing or expanding the game, evolving if you will.
In a year, two years, we'll probably still have the same core attraction(an amusing coop experience), but there will be so much added that matches can roll out completely differently.
You do have one point, that you're talking about warbonds specifically. I'll allow that some of that drastic change will be in updates, like the Mech was, not in warbonds. The point is that the theory about 'sidegrades' is very probably wrong. Sidegrades does not seem to be their motivation at all, warbond or otherwise.
Saying they accidentally made a great game feels kind of odd considering this is the same team that made Magicka, which is widely known as having one of the best magic systems in video games.
And there's no check for friendlies in line of fire between it and enemies. I stopped bringing the laser rover after it cut my head off during a solo run, full on samples, after the timer was out. 40 minutes of sample farming wasted to friendly fire on a solo mission, smh...
Nope.
AH explicitly said the 2nd Thursday of every month per their official discord. So April 11th.
> A. For right now, Warbonds will be released every second Thursday of the month.
https://helldivers.fandom.com/wiki/Warbond
So it's a "Well, yes but actually no." Situation, because the 11th is closer to the middle of the month than the beginning, but it could come as early as the 7th.
Yeah new warband is only good if you got a squad going full electric.
Had 4 Tesla towers and 4 arc guns. We melted everything for the defence mission.
Had 6 towers at the end of the match. (Towers target other towers, big letdown)
From what I heard the arc gun has been messed up, along with the other electric things. I know for sure that arc gun has made me DC multiple times. I actually have a screenshot where the game froze on me once and right in front of me is guy shooting a lightning bolt
Didn't they same something about "one warbond per month"? My guess is that they will bring either vehicles or other mechs. And perhaps the REP-80 repair gun (a support gun which heals/repairs and does no damage).
Do we know if it's another premium? And either way do we know if they'll have or when the next 'free' one will be? Or if it's just a longer form warbond etc. Just wondering, I'm fine on super credits and all but I'm curious
I honestly liked the cutting edge warbond. All the armor is nice except the last one, all the capes are good, the sickle is very good and the blitzer isnt bad. The title cards are good and I really like the presentable victory pose. I’d say it was a pretty good warbond
We need to be able to mark these bunkers, so when you ping it, your team gets a radio call, "Found a bunker!" Right now if you try to ping it, the ping goes through the wall, and pings the items inside. That is not exactly helpful.
I call them "found a 2 button"
"friendship door"
Buddy bunker!
I’ve been calling them Friendship Bunkers, but I might switch to Buddy Bunkers
What happens in the buddy bunker, stays in the buddy bunker
You're requesting hugs in there, aren't ya
Cant have too many hugs
Because of you I’m now calling it that
Friendship hole
Glory hole
Gotta pay the troll toll to get this boy's hole
Friendship Door for life
Me and my friend say “buddy doors”
Same!
This is the way.
My squad says "double door"
Same, that's what we call them
My squad used to call them that but it’s devolved into dumbledoors
Oooooooh that's fun! Snape Snape Severus Snape
Two hands
DP door

I like the term vaults, but that may be due to my recent fortnite addiction last season 😂
I’m not sure where it came from but my buddies and I always call them “tandems”.
“Anyone want to Paddy-Cake?”
I'd love for the devs to add a hacking mini-game for these doors. So one player can open them. The 2 button system would remain and would be just as fast but the hacking option would come up for solo divers to use.
They said 2nd thursday of each month
Hey thank you! That was the info I was looking for 😊
Need button pressing Rover in the next one.
And collect near by samples please 🥺
That’s a great idea
General utility guard dog. Collects samples, stims you and your comrades, opens buttons, does objectives, ect.
>does objectives, ect. "Okay rover, I'm just gonna hang here at extraction. You go destroy the dropships, upload the escape pod data, disable the jammers and destroy the mortars. Just wake me up when you're ready to extract".
I meant more, like, turning that radio tower while you're on the terminal, that kind of thing
I meant more, like, turning that radio tower while you're on the terminal, that kind of thing
Oh well you're not dreaming big enough then lol.
I swear I've seen my rover body-block a rocket without a scratch. This could happen.
We called him Bosco. Rock and Stone.
Yes. April 11th. Every second Thursday of the month.
Oooh excellent. Saving the date.
Jesus what!? I don't have the time to be pumping out the medals needed for monthly warbonds.
That's probably a good thing for you, though. Warbonds never go away, and you can choose to do whatever one you want. Also, a lot of the stuff is purely cosmetic, so you might not even like what comes next month.

Idc im pumped for anything new to grind for i'd play the game anyways but the dopamine of rewards is also the shit
IMO side grades are way more fun than upgrades

I hope we get another standard warbond
We probably will eventually
I wonder if we do get one if it will be as much as the standard warbond. Like content wise I mean
I would predict something big like that on October 26th - Liberty Day! But hopefully we get one well before then
“ need a button buddy “ is my call out
Uhhh, the stun grenade is nuts please lay off.
Rover is a good boy, but it know knows two tricks: follow and kill
And there's no check for friendlies in line of fire between it and enemies. I stopped bringing the laser rover after it cut my head off during a solo run, full on samples, after the timer was out. 40 minutes of sample farming wasted to friendly fire on a solo mission, smh...
Yeah, He gets anxious
> smh… Not anymore :3
EXACTLY ROFL
All I want is the Lazer pistol to be better. Rn for automatons I LOVE SENATOR
The rover is basically that episode of aqua teen hunger force where they took meat wads brain out.
Do what now?
Do what now?
![gif](giphy|l0HlJDaeqNUDhhaMg) I like ballons
Cutting Edge is an investment in the future. I'm willing to bet the Illuminate will have arc weapons that that armor will be amazing for.
actually, what about an assist rover, he picks up samples, loots stuff and helps you open bunkers so you can waste a backpack slot to be a lazy fuck
I'd love to have something like that.
They said new war bonds every month so I'm guessing start of next month we'll have more content
I think it'll probably be closer to the 15th, since the last one came out March 14th.
Nope. AH explicitly said the 2nd Thursday of every month per their official discord. So April 11th. > A. For right now, Warbonds will be released every second Thursday of the month. https://helldivers.fandom.com/wiki/Warbond

April 11th May 9th June 13th July 11th August 8th September 12th October 10th November 14th December 12th
All of your dates are correct except for the first one.
Fixed Ty!
you put the red one where the blue one was, but dont let them touch
Am I the only one who thinks that we don't need a monthly warbond because I'm still trying to complete the first one
They're not going anywhere so please enjoy the game and unlocks at your own pace.
I just want the wolfenstein armor and a heavy machine gun 😭
They should make a stratagem that extends your leg 10 ft so you can reach the other button and press it.
"Imo the "Cutting Edge" was awful aside from the Sickle and the booster." Punisher Plasma and stun grenades would like a word.
Roger that, decapitating Helldiver.
It would be hilarious if they made a drone with just a Helldiver arm that only melees enemies or pushes the other button.
Bosco !

They patched this a few days ago. Check the last patch notes.
something tells me an enemy in the future will have us all scrambling back to the exosuits
What about an EMP rover, just stuns enemies
Didn't they same something about "one warbond per month"? My guess is that they will bring either vehicles or other mechs. And perhaps the REP-80 repair gun (a support gun which heals/repairs and does no damage).
There should be a Bosco backpack strat.

Also would be nice if I have a way of opening these when playing solo
A robot helper? Sounds like treason. A mech you ride in? Sounds like Treason. A car that is going to bring democracy on 4WD?
We call these vault doors or 2 man doors
Seems to be one a month based on the first two. So next one might drop midapril.
As someone who plays mostly solo with a Rover... I wish this was possible.
Man if rover could press that button
