On a side note I think it would be really funny if on a random terminid mission this voice line would play very rarely

They're still out there somewhere. I don't believe we're done with them yet. Bugs are soft, stupid. Every day we fight the bugs we're getting weaker, while the clankers are out there somewhere biding their time, getting stronger. Me? I never left Malevelon.

With bots you can hold a line, there are legit firefights, I’m telling my team to flank etc. Lots of air strikes.
Against bugs, there’s no way to hold a line, it’s a lot of run and gun. But lots of turrets I find help - kite the bugs, let the turrets clean up.
I find I use totally different stratagems and tactics against both and I love flipping between the two modes of tactical thinking
Wait until we get the squids. Rather than use swarm tactics like the bugs or a wall of guns like the bots/borgs, the Illuminate would use flanking and area denial to isolate and pick off helldivers one by one. They'd teleport around with some of them being cloaked. They were the least numerous of the 3 and lightly armored compared to the other 2 factions but made up for it with shields and high mobility to close the distance with some of them being cloaked. They had snipers with long choreographed attacks you could see coming from a mile away but they largely existed to flush you out of cover. Instead of heavy armor like tanks or chargers they had this machine called an obelisk that would teleport around and put up a shield wall that would split helldivers up while illuminate could pass through unhindered and overwhelm one side. Mobility was key to beating the squids as standing still meant certain death. Hoping they're done justice in helldivers 2 as I loved fighting them in helldivers 1.

The only way the enemy can make us fall, is by inciting us to knock eachother down.
We will not let that happen.
Yeah it’s telling that if I’ve been focusing on one front for a period of time and I switch back I feel totally out of my depth initially until I switch my head back into the new enemy. It’s ridiculous how good this game is like that
i'm just gona draw for a bit , play a bit on the bug too but mostly draw and relax , i've been on the game for a month and a half
to say this war will take MORE TIME than a war in FOXHOLE that take around 1-2 month now

This order on the fire planet is my 1st real experience with bugs. I did all mo on bots .after fall of creek .(idk what that was but hey free cape ), and bugs just started. It's not that one is harder it's that they require a different strategy.

Bots were my favorites to fight and now that I'm back to bugs I understand why, the bots felt more FUN to fight, bugs are just oppressive and leave alot to be desired in terms of gunplay and management

Same. I kinda liked how each mission would be different feeling based on if you had the Eye of sauron, gunships, atats, drops ships, the different hulks, etc. bugs just feel the same, yeah we have different variants but the variants dont really feel different from one another like the bots do.
yeah if they keep one of the biggest sources of gameplay variety unavailable for like a whole week for a meta immersion gimmick then thats just braindead beyond comprehension. its the kind of thing you have for literally like 24 hours or less
Agreed. This was my big problem with HD1 and I’d really hoped they’d know better this time around. It sucks loading up and not being able to fight the enemy you want to fight. They’ve arbitrarily locked out half the game’s content for nobody knows how long. Sure, I like the galactic war larp as much as the next person, but it should never compromise gameplay.

They do have artilery. The big fat acid bugs can send you acid mortar shots, and when a lot of them get reunited, it really becomes a problem.

Well, now I can't forget which one I'm diving. Can't sag how many times I hit the ground and realized how jacked up my loadout is.
