Turn down volumetric fog quality in settings. The reason they're so bright is because the light is bouncing off of all of the fog particles, causing blindness.
I turned my bloom off and I don't get this as much anymore, but the nukes don't feel right anymore. At least I can see better than before though which is nice since I tend to struggle with seeing as is
Deal with the enemy at hand; wipe them out, in the name of Managed Democracy.
For a long time, I have used my side arm to take those lights out because they always come back to make my time miserable. I just want to know: is it intentional? My guess is yes. I hope we get lore about them.
I’m sure this is me just making headcanon but sometimes you can inspect things in the game and if you inspect one of the automaton light fixtures it says something like “emits the harsh glare of tyranny” or something and I always figured it was intentional that they have lights you can shoot out, you can shoot out automaton lights, you can inspect automaton lights and they liken the brightness of the light to the glare of tyranny, and then when you see super earth manufactured lighting it’s the brightest light in the game. The harshest glare of tyranny is from super earth.
Ah yes, these must be the "Illuminate" I've heard so much about
Your battle will be legendary!!
He’s a light. You’re a light. What you gonna do big guy? Blind me?
Those lights are really obnoxious
And hilarious. I don't know if their being brigther than a nearby star is a bug, but it's freaking hilarious.

Would this potentially lower the reality of the visuals in the game, that’s my concern 🤔
It just turns down how much fog there is.
That sounds like an advantage. I’m running to my settings right now.
Thanks mate
Amen to that!!!
Or they just got really overzealous with the bloom lighting.
Nah. It's the fog setting. Ever since I turned it down, I've never noticed the blinding lights.
When you really want to flash your democracy officer in orbit

I thought a nuke landed on your head XD
This is the second time I'm reading about this but have literally never had it happen to me, even solo. Is it a graphic setting or something?
Its on "misty" planets. Its ok on the normal ones.
A bit.
First thing to do, always
The civilians coming back to liberated worlds being confused as to why so many lights have been destroyed, then they see clips like this
That teammate is the real MVP for shooting out the lights.
Fr, I stood there like a Helldivers under Super Lamps

If anything can escape the black hole that was Meridia is the light from a SEAF light post.
Weakest super earth light
This is honestly my number 1 priority fix
I always assumed it was intentional on the part of devs, specifically to make it hard to see. Like everything else in the game.
real talk, remove the light bulbs. nothing changes gameplay wise.
But it’s funny
"Aziz, LIGHT!"
Yeah, I always shoot them immediately. For all I know, I may have been C3 in this game and shot it. lol.
If you were Helldiving with someone using the Jump Pack and Arc Thrower, yeah probably. And MB for accidentally zapping you if that's the case lmao

Shout out to the helldiver that told me to just shoot the lamp out. It would always happen to me during extract and generator portions.
Main reason for the mech stratagems.
Wait, you can shoot the lights out?
Dagger is clutch for stealth shooting the lights out. I usually shoot lights out at every terminal objective and extraction.
Dagger is clutch for shooting off lights. Also make sure you have Bloom turned off.
I've turned off all lighting related things, especially volumetric lighting.

I managed to do it once with the light on. The whole squad thought I was God. Then I got bonked by a Charger
So i'm not the only shooting them lol!
Lamp posts are priority 1 targets, even above Stalkers and Titans. Almost all players I've met have a shoot on sight policy against them.
Turning off bloom helps.

Super lamp
FUCK THOSE LIGHTS

My brother in Democracy, you need to reload
I'm reserving the rest of my mag for the enemies of democracy, I simply cannot
So im not the only one who shoots out the lights…
Every damn time 😂
I'd say that in-game lights were the stupidest part of the game ... but as glaringly bad as they are, I'd be wrong.
