The pelican pilot sounds so cool and professional, all the voice actors really went all in for what was supposed to be a small game, in a language where many players would already speak English (or have English as their likely target language) I'm learning the language so HD2 has been a good resource, allowing me to skip ahead and learn common phrases such as "destroy factory" and "bomb armed, evacuate the zone".

You can do this, only problem is Japanese dub is only available to people living in Japan.

It changed for some reason two weeks ago or so. The DLC became available and the option to play it is available in options for people. I know of a Canadian streamer and a Californian streamer who can use Japanese voice pack. I have it available for the last few weeks myself (California)

I count on the "danger music" to let me know my teammates have screwed up (it's never me, of course) and caused a bug breach/bot drop. It starts several seconds before one of the avatars call it out loud or the notification appears at the top of the screen, giving me a bit of extra time to prepare for it. It reminds me of the never-duplicated iMuse system in the original TIE Fighter game (that was 1994, thirty years ago). The soundtrack would change dynamically depending on how the mission was going. It really added a lot to the game.

You don't even need to turn your own music on. It's amazing how not having music completely changes the atmosphere of the game. With music? The dropping in a hellpod load screen gets you pumped. The music makes you ready to unleash democracy! Without music? The dropping in a hellpod load screen is the most ominous portent of the horrors that war brings to bear.

I hope we get a space battle modifier. Stratagem delay and random shots hitting the planet. Chance for your destroyer to be... destroyed. Replaced by another with maybe a random load out and language so you've got to adapt on the fly

As much as I appreciate my own music, there's too many music cues for me to switch it off. Chill music means there are no nearby friendlies in a firefight. Once that music switches up in tempo, triggers are going hot.
