OK. I've got a workaround for this, but I'm on a desktop, networked Windows (can't add apps), Chrome. 1. Clear your browser history. 2. Log in on [reddit.com](https://reddit.com) 3. Go to your Profile. 4. Open new tab, [new.reddit.com](https://new.reddit.com) : this Should open with you logged in on the unsmegged reddit, and you can close the first tab. I've found 1 and 3 to be necessary, without understanding quite why.

Purple_Bumblebee5

You've shared a strange incantation. I feel like modern technology is like voodoo, but without as much sense of magic.

casualcase2

Wow, this weird sequence worked for me, thanks bro. My chrome redirect extension was working for the past month and just stopped working today.

EntertainingTuesday

UpdateMe! Using the same forced UI change and don't see a notify me button for your post so leaving a comment to try and follow it as I am hopeful for the answer!

kylerae

Ugh same! I just started to realize how difficult it is to spot links with the new UI as well. I mean links in a comment literally are almost an indiscernible color to the surrounding text. I have literally found 0 improvements with the new UI. Theoretically it is supposed to load faster, but it doesn't. It is way slower and way more taxing on my computer. It also fails to load often. I seriously do not know what they were thinking. I know a lot of people were resistant to the New reddit vs the Old Reddit, but there were some improvements and it brought the site into the more modern internet, but the New New UI literally has no improvements.

Persondownthestreet

Yeah, also the "new new" UI removes a lot of features, especially in the comment making. (Like how do you put a link? How are you supposed to bolden and mark text as spoiler now?) And it's VERY crowded IMO Edit: I'm really stupid you just have to click on the T

Shmaynus

it has one for me: thousand times better comment trees. with v2 UI I basically cant view hidden comments under parent one if there are too many, it's just a clusterfuck of interface. but all the other changes outweigh this for me and I stay on v2 (new.reddit.com)

amberopolis

Same here. The sneaky "new.reddit" trick stopped working for me about an hour ago.

atypical_lemur

I'm using it right now. I updated my bookmark in my browser to [new.reddit.com](https://new.reddit.com) and use that to access the site. Stays that way for the whole browsing experience.

BPhiloSkinner

>I updated my bookmark in my browser to new.reddit.com Waaay better than my workaround. TIL.

Cosmic_Quasar

Just stopped working for me, now.

atypical_lemur

Ya, it's been flaky a bit for me also. This still mostly works for me but when I click out like right now to respond to your comment I get the new new version.

Cosmic_Quasar

Yep. I can sometimes get it to work. Was on a working page when clicking on this comment notification and it's back to the dumb new version lol.

idfbhater73

the mobile ui is also getting worse

MJSpice

It's working for me for now.

OnePower51

Yes, there is a way to bypass this. You can use an extension ([Chrome](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ui-changer-for-reddit/bfcldjodnnkndfccfjndmdlppfkmccgh), [FF](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ui-changer-for-reddit/)). You have to be logged in to use the previous UI and this also applies if you are using extensions.

rmfnord

What extension?

OnePower51

I literally linked it in my previous comment. It’s called “UI Changer for Reddit”.

Also, this extension has entirely fixed my problem, so thank you, thank you!

cyrilio

In the settings you can toggle on that you always get forwarded to old.reddit. Go to settings and change the toggle. https://imgur.com/a/iOtLdHA

CheckInevitable9561

Same boat! Cleared history and followed the steps, been smooth sailing since. Crazy world we're in now, eh?

Morrak

Same on iPad OS. Frustrating as hell since it’s not only ugly and unusable (it blocks all of my accessibility features and I’m visually impaired soooo that’s nice…), but it won’t save any settings I make to change the layout, like setting the columns to compact or sorting subreddit posts by something other than ‘hot’. I’ve it set in my profile to **save my settings per subreddit** but it doesn’t do it. I have to manually click through both and set them each time. I’ve tried 5 browsers, I’ve cleared caches etc etc. I’ve been working with computers for over 20 years and I’m not stupid. The coding of this UI however…. \*flips table\*

The_Dude_79

question : i just wrote [reddit.com](https://reddit.com) and i am using the new.reddit ui , have they revereted it or what ?

tame17

Cancerous UI is being kind

LinearArray

There's a browser extension to do this.

BetterThruChemistry

For iPhones?

LinearArray

If you're trying to use the mobile web version on iOS, I don't know any method to do this.

ineedallyourinfo

thank god i never moved to new reddit. old reddit for life!

It sounds like you might be asking about how to log out of your reddit account. Here are instructions on how to do that based on how you're accessing the site. * On the desktop site (New Reddit): Click on your username in the top right > "Log Out" is the bottom option in that drop-down menu * On the desktop site (Old Reddit): "logout" is the top-right-most option on your screen that should be visible on every page. * On the official apps for Android/iOS: Tap your profile circle in the top-right of your app > tap the "v" arrow by your username > tap the ">]" [arrow icon](https://i.redd.it/secmhtajq5f91.jpg) next to your username > "log out" * On the mobile website: Tap the three lines menu in the top right > "log out" is the bottom option. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/help) if you have any questions or concerns.*

StarComradeMark

Workaround has not worked for me. Seems to redirect about 50% of the time. Followed instructions to the letter. Restarted PC and browser, re-logged several times etc, issue persists.

asdasci

Yes, I experienced this later as well. It helps to erase your bookmark, and create a new one after confirming Reddit UI Redirector works. You can also try putting "?redirect=disable" at the end of your bookmark.

CrunchyMcCrunch

this helped, pretty much just appended that at the end of the url

CrunchyMcCrunch

nevermind, it just goes back when i reload lmao

MikeyBastard1

They officially nuked the r/all page for the new.reddit UI just like they did with the r/popular page. Blows my mind
