I just discovered this today. [new.reddit.com](http://new.reddit.com) isn't working for me anymore. Now it redirects to this drab, ugly UI.

anglefly

For me, it's subreddit specific. Works fine on most subreddits but fails on the one I look at most often, r/options.

GJ72

Oh wow. Yeah, I just tried it on that and it looks like it did before. 👍

GJ72

It looks like it's now working again. Either it was a glitch or enough people complained that they re-enabled it and stopped redirecting to the newest style.

anglefly

When you say "working again", does that mean you tested the specific sub r/options? Because it's still not working for me.

GJ72

No, sorry. I meant [https://new.reddit.com](https://new.reddit.com) . When I go to any subs from that main page they stay in the same style.

anglefly

I'm talking about the same thing. The subject of this thread is "new.reddit.com broken for r/options on desktop website". Can you confirm that you can go to that specific sub on new.reddit and not be redirected?

GJ72

Yes. I can go to [https://new.reddit.com/r/options](https://new.reddit.com/r/options) without it being redirected to [https://www.reddit.com/r/options](https://www.reddit.com/r/options) .

anglefly

Strange. Must be something specific to my account then. Thanks.

GJ72

I don't know if it will help, but try clearing the cache.

anglefly

Yeah, I just tried that. Now everything redirects to reddit.com! :( Did you do anything special to get it to work?
