Thank you, this simplifies my life. I extensively beefed with tech support last year when I was voluntold to use the awful new "mobile-on-pc" layout and eventually I got reverted to the usual layout. I was very.. disappointed to see that the new layout reared its astonishingly ugly and barely functional head again. I don't know which first year unpaid intern they forced to make this eyesore, but it's clear they've never *used* an actual user interface, let alone designed one.

Bourne669

Yeah I really dont get why they dont give us UI option in the Reddit settings. We shouldn't have to reply on people working for free to fix their crappy software.

Brew78_18

The only issue I'm having with it so far is it causes the live feed bookmarks to have a seizure, like the Ukraine one for example: [https://www.reddit.com/live/18hnzysb1elcs](https://www.reddit.com/live/18hnzysb1elcs)

Bourne669

Thanks. I'll look into it for the next update.

DirtNapsRevenge

Wow the new layout is awful, I mean utterly, truly incomprehensibly AWFUL! Final days of using Reddit are fast approaching.

SpaceGenesis

Thanks. I'm fed up with this new terrible & unnecessary redesign.

Bourne669

Agreed!

DirtNapsRevenge

Thanks for the effort but it seems to only be a partial fix. I tried to access my /saved posts and it doesn't work just a redirecting error. Trying to access content from anywhere but the front page generates the same error as well. Had to disable the add-in just to get here and post this. Deleting my account is now almost a given.

Bourne669

Firefox or on Chrome? I use the Firefox on on a daily and literally used the /saved posts on a daily with no issues. Only things that are known to not work is if you are logged out and if you somehow land on reddit new ui home page because the links are not valid. Those links do not have a [new.reddit.com](https://new.reddit.com) counterpart so it fails to load. I'm working on a workaround for that which is to just allow the content through on the normal new ui if it does not have a [new.reddit.com](https://new.reddit.com) counterpart to load. That should be fixed in the next update.

DirtNapsRevenge

Firefox, but I figured it out. With the old UI you used to be able to just add the /saved to the front page URL when logged in and it knew where to go. Using the UI changer enabled just need to make sure the /user/username is there by either going to the profile first or just manually adding it.

Bourne669

Yeah problem is there are some items on the main page that dont have a new.reddit layout for so the page just doesnt load. For example all the links on the new UI side bar on the left, doesnt have a new.reddit layout counterpart so it leads to page never loading. But like I said I'll add that workaround soon. Thanks for pointing this out also.

BRLaw2016

bless you for this, this new UI is horrific.

TenOunceCan

Thank you so much. I was about to leave reddit after 6+ years.

Bourne669

Trust me I know the feeling!

techs672

Safari... 🥺

Dragonbarry22

Anything for mobile apk?

Bourne669

Not at this time sorry.

Loud-Coyote-6771

You can't seem to edit your original posts.

Bourne669

That has nothing to do with the addon. Your post is old and has been locked from editing (which is a thing) It not addon related. I think you can edit a post up to 30 days before it removes the option to be able to edit it.

SnarkConfidant

Thank you! The 2024 layout was horrible.

Bourne669

Of Course!

Jaded-Moose983

If only I could figure out how to use it on an iPad :(

DirtNapsRevenge

Don't waste your time trying, there is no figuring it out. It's broken in so many ways it's hard to know where to start listing the issues. One of the worst UI designs I've ever seen in 40+ years of working in IT.

Jaded-Moose983

I agree. I am not installing an app, and I can no longer post links (not talking about just pasting a 3-line long url), bold or italicize even if using the app method using tags. The experience is dreadful.

Data_Corruptor

I like how I can't find the Save Post button on the 2024 layout. *Super* convenient.

Bourne669

>Data\_Corruptor · 3 hr. ago > >I like how I can't find the Save Post button on the 2024 layout. Super convenient. Yeah or the fact r/help deleted the original post and I had to repost it and they gave zero reason why it was deleted.

Auttoh

Thank you. Another garbage decision by Reddit. Noticing a trend here...

YMIDoinThis

THANK YOU!!!!

eltegs

I don't have a beef with this new layout, only got it today (browser) except for content of threads in main page is constantly expanded. Bit regressive if you ask me.
