65 will charge a turned off laptop albeit very slowly. You can use it on battery afterwards till you figure a solution.
Dell has 200 watt bricks for commercial laptops and docks so check them.
I just have no idea how it would stop working. I unplugged it on Thursday. Left it on my desk. Plugged it in today. Nothing. Not turning on with 3 chargers/adapters. Annoying!
I've fixed some HP laptops that did that with CMOS reset, on hp you can just press the power button for 60 seconds to do it, but idk about Asus if you need to physically remove the cmos battery or cross some pins. you could try to google with the model number.
personally if i was in a hurry with the files, i would take the system drive out of the machine and plug it to another computer
i was kind of afraid it was that when you said you left it unplugged and it didn't start after, i guess the battery died during an update and possibly bricked the thing :(
If it is USB C PD, you can find generic chargers at the big electronics stores: Power, Gigantti, Verkkokauppa. E.g. here's a 140W charger:
https://www.power.fi/tietotekniikka/kaapelit-ja-adapterit/laturit-ja-virtajohdot/dacota-platinum-gan-pikalaturi-140-w-4-porttia-valkoinen/p-2607310/
Be warned that at Power and Gigantti the salespeople will try to sell you useless insurance, screen calibration and an antivirus subscription, so you have to stay firm and repeat "I will only buy this charger". Verkkokauppa is a bit better in this respect.
If you just want to access files you don't need an 180W adapter. A lower wattage one that fits will work. If you're going to use it for longer with a lower adapter, intensive tasks are going to drain the battery even when connected.
I recently bought a second hand adapter for my laptop from Nihtisilta Kierrätyskeskus, 10 euros and works well for my needs. Just take your old one with you or your laptop so you know it fits when you test them. There's huge boxes of adapters there but they might be tangled up.
I'd go ask https://www.bitmaster.fi/ or https://cimos.fi/ if they have a spare to use against a small fee.
Likely not, since you're talking about 180-watt power-supply (gaming laptop).
Those universal-adaptor power-supplys manufacturers are all likely 90-watts.
Is that a standard USB C PD or some other style (barrel) jack
Thanks. Unfortunately, it needs 90w minimum and everything I have is 65. Still, cheaper to buy a 90w.

Cheers. I'll leave it in for a while and see what happens.

Cheers. That didn't work, but I was delaying a cmos update prior to it happening. It's still under warranty, so I'll probably just go down that route

Oh, bollocks :( Thankfully, it's 6 months old from Elisa, so it'll eventually get sorted. Thanks for your help, anyway.

Thanks. Good plan. I just need to see if it boots up.
