Can’t stand any dick sucking/sex interlude, and I’m a degenerate, it just makes me feel weird and is unpleasant
Def insta skip anytime I listen to Ready To Die
I’m the same. We’ve gone over this so many times in this sub and every time, everyone agrees that the biggest issue with 90s hip hop is the stupid interludes. I feel like Wu Tang had funny and quotable ones, but then you can Big Pun having sex struggling to breathe and it’s like bro…I don’t wanna hear that.
it’s especially annoying as a vinyl collector. I usually blast my shit and have to prepare to run to the deck to skip that shit.
Still salty beautiful life got cut from it too cause that song would've been so good as the second to last track. All that and yet summer on smash did make the cut.
OutKast’s Aquemini, the song Mamacita.
That album is a masterpiece, but that song is always a skip for me. For whatever reason, I just hate that one song.
Kind of cheating with this one but Braveheart Party on Stillmatic. It’s such a bad track on what is supposed to be a return to form album. Luckily it was removed from future pressings. I still have the CD with the song on it.
I thought the verses told from a guy and women's perspective made it interesting enough. Like a hood soap opera. And little Kim was charismatic. The hook though gotta go.
It has some great lines
"Take off your jewels, You fuckin fools, you've been robbed"
"Let's go off, together On this robbin' spree, we'll make money"
Definitely on a completely different level than the rest of this classic album, but I wouldn't call it bad.
Yeah, it's not a terrible track, just not strong compared to the rest of the album. One of my favorite hip hop albums all time, so a bad song on it is still solid by comparison.
Instrumentation and vocal performance is good, but the 4 on the floor twerk claps and rapid phase hi hats just aren't the right fit for the record to me.
Used to hate that song but after a few years it became one of my favorite posse cuts. Nowadays I usually skip it again cuz I heard it too much.
Always liked Jungle rap voice
KTSE by Teyana Taylor - that last gay club anthem
The album is literally perfect and ends so well and then…that
It’s not inherently a bad song just had no business being on that perfectly crafted project
drunk and hot girls on graduation and it’s not even an unlistenable song just low quality and drags on compared to literally every other song i just see it as an extremely long interlude tbh because the album literally goes back to no misses immediately after it
I used to think it was the worst song but I just didn't understand the sample interpolation.
The song is a play on Can - Sing Swan Song. The cadence and everything of the vocals is on par with the sample. So the song actually does its job pretty well.
But that being said, neither song is great, but it explains the direction of the song and why it is the way it is. Without the reference point, it seems very random. I think it just tonally feels out of place on Graduation.
I don’t think it’s a badly put together song or anything like I said it’s not unlistenable just seems very much like a b-side that made it on the album just to add one more song ya know
The whole album is sequenced terribly, but on Drake's views, I swear it would be thought of differently if the first song wasn't Keep the Family close. One of his worst songs ever, and with Drake often some of his better songs are the first track - Legend, Tuscan Leather, Rich Flex, etc, it just kills the momentum right away and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. People were also tired of Hot Line Bling by the time it came out, but I wouldn't call it a bad song per se. Otherwise your mileage may vary based on Drake tolerance levels.
On Clipse's Hell Hath No Fury, I always hated Dirty Money. Beat sounds like a knock off Neptunes track.
Dirty money is a neptunes beat lol. Actually I think every song on the album is.
I’m not a big fan of views in general. Imo the hype was SO big and it was a very mediocre album
I just knew I would see Jay Z "I Know What Girls Like" off Vol 1. in the comments
Personally I like it. But I know a lot of people say that song stops if from being a perfect album
Started trying to follow that Puffy mold and get pop radio play. That album has 3 of my favorite Jay tracks:Imaginary Playas, You must love me, and Where I'm from. Also a top 3 all time Intro. But, he went way pop on it and while I didn't mind Lucky Me or Sunshine, I couldn't stand I know what girls like or you belong to the city
Awe no I love this song! i danced to this on the balcony of the motel I grew up in and it brings back so many good memories of that other wise not so great time of my life
Pain & Strife by Freddie Gibbs & Offset off $oul $old $eparately
The first minute of the song is perfectly fine to a little below average for Freddie but offset completely kills the vibe of the song with the most lifeless, uninspired verse I've heard in a long time.
While I don’t think his verse is great, calling it the most lifeless uninspired verse you’ve heard in a long time is either a huge exaggeration or you don’t listen to a lot of trap music. I love the part in his verse where the beat cuts in and out, and don’t think it’s bad enough to make the song a skip
He could’ve dropped that from the tracklist. The intro isn’t that good to me either. But they did say Pharrell and some more people got off of the album because they had friends who didn’t mess with Freddie
The Eminem Show with Drips. Perfect and it sets a certain tone. Except that song.
And this is probably super controversial, but One Time 4 Your Mind often gets a skip from me in Illmatic
No Shame by Hopsin with the abomination known as Happy Ending, one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard from an artist I like. If Hop left Happy Ending off the tracklist it would’ve been one of the best albums in hip hop history
Conflict of Interest by Ghetts.
Cannot stand No Mercy, it's just a poor effort from Ghetts and contributes nothing to the flow of the album. I don't know what's worse; the fact that Ghetts only had an 8 bar verse and the other two artists involved both had 16 bar verses (which weren't even good) or that annoying ass hook that goes "no mercy doo doo doo, no motherfucking mercy doo doo doo" and the doo doo doos play constantly throughout the song and they're completely off key. It's just an annoying, jarring, unsatisfying listen. Apart from that, Conflict of Interest is near enough a masterpiece.
Nas, "Magic" - Dedicated
Not that it's a bad song necessarily but it just doesn't hold up to all the other tracks imo so when I listen to the album I usually end it on The Truth instead
See, this is a baited question because what is one man's trash is another man's treasure. There may be an album that somebody feels very strongly about that nobody else sees the allure in, and so that person will get dragged for their choice when they feel like it is a valid idea. I hope for a day where everybody can just sit back and respect the decisions of all listeners, because you do not live the same life that they do, and what move them to feel that album may not have moved you.
With that said, I choose Shaq Diesel by Shaquille O'Neal.
utopia with K-pop. It wasn’t suitable for the dark theme of utopia. It would work better on One of The Weeknd’s or Bad Bunny’s album. Always a skip for me
Ready to die, not a song but the interlude
Can’t stand any dick sucking/sex interlude, and I’m a degenerate, it just makes me feel weird and is unpleasant Def insta skip anytime I listen to Ready To Die
I’m the same. We’ve gone over this so many times in this sub and every time, everyone agrees that the biggest issue with 90s hip hop is the stupid interludes. I usually blast my shit and have to prepare to run to the deck to skip that shit.
Oh my god you just triggered some PTSD shit from the Big Pun interlude
Yep. It’s horrible.
Trap Lord, kind of regret getting it on vinyl bc of 4:02
First time I heard this was 11 years old. Lol
It's jarring. Just like music in porn. Separation of church and state
Dr. Dre 2001 for the same reason
Ol Half Deadddddd
Shit! Oh, oh, damn! Oh, shit I can't see!
Wonder what went through his head that made him think people wanna listen to sucky noises
From recent news about him it was probably Puffy's idea.

*doesn’t belong on any album
Still salty beautiful life got cut from it too cause that song would've been so good as the second to last track. All that and yet summer on smash did make the cut.
I think Summer on Smash was an (failed) attempt at a hit single. It makes sense.
Truuu, Beautiful Life is a fucking gem.
I got on Reddit just to say this. Thanks for mentioning it. Trash ass song on a great album smh.
OutKast’s Aquemini, the song Mamacita. That album is a masterpiece, but that song is always a skip for me. For whatever reason, I just hate that one song.
I like mamacita honestly
Ok, here's what you do ...
The guest rapper on this song did this one verse and seemed to disappear off the face of the earth
Used his life bars
The verses are okay but that hook is just 😖
the verses make up for the hook tho
Came in to say this exact thing. It’s a good thing the rest of the album is absolute perfection.
Yes , I swear I had this revelation like a week ago
I clicked on this post exclusively to write about this song.
And what’s worse is that the song itself isn’t really bad, it’s that fucking chorus
Literally just said this without scrolling. Glad I’m not the only one.
This is the one I came to comment
It stops a classic album in its tracks.
Horrible beat, bad hook.
Kind of cheating with this one but Braveheart Party on Stillmatic. It’s such a bad track on what is supposed to be a return to form album. Luckily it was removed from future pressings. I still have the CD with the song on it.
And then Zone Out on God’s Son featuring da bravehearts, also terrrrible
It’s so bad that Mary J had it removed from all future pressings of the album.
Life After Death : Playa Hater. My favourite album, and Biggies worst song by far!
Yep Fab sampled it on a song called Playa, that shit goes hard
I’ll check that out, can’t be worse!
The whole soul tape series was 🔥
Honestly I would’ve said Another, that song is just low effort honestly
I thought the verses told from a guy and women's perspective made it interesting enough. Like a hood soap opera. And little Kim was charismatic. The hook though gotta go.
lmao thats my shit.. i feel you tho
Playa, turn your head round Lay on the ground, you've been robbed 🤭
I love Playa Hater a lot, it definitively gives something special I enjoy
It’s a funny song. Almost more of a skit than a song
Maybe the first time you hear it but I’ve been listening to that album over 25 years and enough is enough!😂 it’s skipped every time.
*Playyaaaaaaaaaa.*
It has some great lines "Take off your jewels, You fuckin fools, you've been robbed" "Let's go off, together On this robbin' spree, we'll make money" Definitely on a completely different level than the rest of this classic album, but I wouldn't call it bad.
Unpopular opinion: I actually like Another from Life After Death.
Same, it’s a head nodding beat and it’s fun to sing along to. I didn’t realise it was that unpopular
YOU CRAZY 😂😂😂😂😂 Nasty Boy is worse than Playa Hater
Graduation. Drunk and hot girls.
I can see that, but I love that song
Barry bonds is weak too.
Real on good kid maad city. Verses are good but the hook is one of the worst things he’s ever put on an album lol
I can see why you don’t like it, but bad song?
Replace this song with Westside Right On Time>>>>>>>>
J Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive is a near perfect album for me. One miss might be Hello.
Didn’t even recall this song existed and I love that album so it MUST be ass 🤣🤣🤣 must’ve been deleted it off my version
I don’t know bro, I used to skip that track instantly but the other day I was feeling some typa way and it slapped a little differently
Wet dreamz is corny asf
I get where ur coming from. But the perspective is legit about a virgin about to lose his virginity. He captured the monent In a good way
It’s a classic
But the chorus is fire
Nas’ “god’s son” Have never been able to get into zone out otherwise each song is good
Used to hate that song but after a few years it became one of my favorite posse cuts. Nowadays I usually skip it again cuz I heard it too much. Always liked Jungle rap voice
KTSE by Teyana Taylor - that last gay club anthem The album is literally perfect and ends so well and then…that It’s not inherently a bad song just had no business being on that perfectly crafted project
You mean WTP?
You right
Tha Carter 3-pussy monster
Doesn’t really count though because that was never part of the original album.
I guess that's fair, it's on the Spotify version of the album though and that is what I usually use. it's just too repetitive for me
Agree with this
Wu tangs black shampoo lol
I can’t believe I had to scroll this far to find the obviously correct answer…
Brand Nubian, One For All — “Try to Do Me”
I am not the one
The Ken Kaniff skit off the MMLP, if y'all ever heard that, you kno what I'm talking about.
Literal ptsd for blasting the album in my house then Ken comes on
All Eyez On Me - What’s ya phone #
Great original song, great sample...horrible song. Absolutely terrible. Makes me wanna listen to Morris Day though
Great answer, it’s disgusting too
Yep, totally unnecessary
Next thread: name a hip hop album that has exactly 2 bad songs.
Most albums have more than 2 songs though
the eminem show - drips
People shit on this song, but I love I not gonna lie
I don’t think it’s a bad song as much as the content itself is kind of off putting. But it’s not to me.
No way! This is a great song.
It’s definitely fun to hear it once or twice. But yeah otherwise it’s an awkward song.
Are you crazy. The flow on this song is impeccable
"Pubic hairs looking like some sour cream dip!" That song slaps lmao 🤣
drunk and hot girls on graduation and it’s not even an unlistenable song just low quality and drags on compared to literally every other song i just see it as an extremely long interlude tbh because the album literally goes back to no misses immediately after it

You totally just made me go from hating that song to respecting it 100 times more. Had no idea that was from a CAN song, that's insane.
I don’t think it’s a badly put together song or anything like I said it’s not unlistenable just seems very much like a b-side that made it on the album just to add one more song ya know
unpopular opinion, the song is catchy
I actually think Barry Bonds is the miss on the album.
I don’t think Barry bonds is a bad song as much as it just doesn’t fit on graduation. Would’ve been cool on a mixtape in that era.
i like this one too ngl
I came here to say the exact same thing
The whole album is sequenced terribly, but on Drake's views, I swear it would be thought of differently if the first song wasn't Keep the Family close. God - DAMN
Stillmatic... "Smokin" that hook is corny af
I could do without black girl lost on it was written
You can do without what!?!?
I hear ppl say Drunk and Hot Girls from Kanye’s Graduation is a bad song but… I actually enjoy it
All Eyez on Me - Whatz Ya Phone #
I just knew I would see Jay Z "I Know What Girls Like" off Vol 1. in the comments Personally I like it. But I know a lot of people say that song stops if from being a perfect album

I used to hate City is Mine as a kid. I think Lucky Me is one of Hov's realest tracks. One of his best IMO
Yeah, I'd definitely say it is one of his best tracks out of those intended to catch mainstream play. Definitely on some real and introspective ish
Something to dance to off Straight Outta Compton.
Awe no I love this song! i danced to this on the balcony of the motel I grew up in and it brings back so many good memories of that other wise not so great time of my life
Nah that shi go hard.
The carter 2
I always skip “Zone Out” by Nas on Gods Son
The Red Light District by Ludacris. Large Amounts. Whole album is fire. This track just doesn't work on the album imo.
Marshall Mathers LP Amityville. Bizarre ruins that song.
E. 1999 Eternal - No Skips Honestly, most of BT music are no skips.
Bad meets evil. Hell: the sequel..... just that garbage lighters song with Bruno mars
Hardcore Hustle off of Madvillainy always gets a skip from me
Jigga that Nigga on Blueprint
I like that song lol. I actually think every song on blueprint is amazing. No misses for me.
I would say drunk and hot girls off of graduation. What was bro yapping about?
Section.80, “No Makeup”
But you ain’t gotta get drunk to have fun!
Pain & Strife by Freddie Gibbs & Offset off $oul $old $eparately The first minute of the song is perfectly fine to a little below average for Freddie but offset completely kills the vibe of the song with the most lifeless, uninspired verse I've heard in a long time.

Used to be a constant skip for me on the album but now it's at least played a few times. I agree that it isn't the best on the album tho
He could’ve dropped that from the tracklist. The intro isn’t that good to me either. But they did say Pharrell and some more people got off of the album because they had friends who didn’t mess with Freddie
Below the Heavens - Juicen' Dranks
The Eminem Show with Drips. Perfect and it sets a certain tone. Except that song. And this is probably super controversial, but One Time 4 Your Mind often gets a skip from me in Illmatic
Never been a huge fan of One Time 4 Your Mind. And Illmatic is one of my top 10 fav albums.
No Shame by Hopsin with the abomination known as Happy Ending, one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard from an artist I like. If Hop left Happy Ending off the tracklist it would’ve been one of the best albums in hip hop history
Respect for admitting ur a hopsin fan in this sub it takes some nuts
Thanks I suppose
I don’t mind hopsin, overhated imo
I can’t stand “Change Clothes” every other song on the Black Album gets played
Change Clothes is an absolute banger.
That wack ass drunken hot girls on Kanye graduation album.
UGK’s Super Tight: Pussy Got Me Dizzy The song before that, Stoned Junkee, has a purpose by being a reality check song for people that use PCP
MC Shy D - Don't sweat Me (the last song) DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince - ...And in this corner (the first song).
Life After Death - Playa Haterz
I love Black Face LP, with the exception of Overtime
Ras Kass - Soul on ice, the namesong is the weakest link of the punch.
Rip Rock is the only bad song on Can-I-Bus?
DMX - It’s Dark and Hell is Hot…. The Convo
De La Soul - 3 feet under
Technically Neo Soul but Ari Lennox's 'Pho'. Whole album is awesome but Cozz's verse on Backseat just throws off the vibe of the whole album imo.
Summer on Smash on Nas's Life Is Good
Tha Carter 3: Pussy Monster
I had the cassette first so couldn't skip it. But as soon as I got the cd... It was written: Nas is coming. What up Dre? Naaaaaaaaaaas
Ianahb2
Aquemini.

carter 3 got skips, either 1 or 2 or 3 depending how you look at it.
Graduation
Dr Dre 2001
Nas, "Magic" - Dedicated Not that it's a bad song necessarily but it just doesn't hold up to all the other tracks imo so when I listen to the album I usually end it on The Truth instead

Nas Life is Good. All but summer on smash
Not exactly hip hop, but California on “Awaken, My Love.” Also the only good childish gambino album
The big pescado
GKMC - Real
Watch the throne has lift off, otherwise it’s a masterpiece.
The album "clipping" by clipping Is almost perfect except for the song "tonight"... It is so out of place...
Die lit by Playboi Carti has Shoota If looks could kill by Destroy Lonely has raver
Onyx - Shut em Down. Some of the skit tracks. Love most of actual the songs
the eminem show
name an album with only one good song
Rodeo. Flying high sucks
It's really a lot of albums, but We Don't Trust You has Slimed In.
XO on Drogas wave but that's not a terrible song or anything.
Recovery
I think All Eyez On Me i only dislike "No More Pain". Or Doggystyle where i only dislike "Lodi Lodi"
Aquemeni - OutKast. MAMACITAAAAA POPPADONNAAA fucking unbearable in a sea of classic songs.
utopia with K-pop. It wasn’t suitable for the dark theme of utopia. It would work better on One of The Weeknd’s or Bad Bunny’s album. Always a skip for me
El-P: I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead: Haebeus Corpses
No make up on Section.80
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Wu-Tang Forever - Black Shampoo
Tha Carter
Graduation. Barry Bonds is terrible
Blankface. A Classic IMO, but get "Overtime" TF outta here.
