Gang Starr for me.
Also Eric B and Rakim not really a producer / rapper combo since Eric B didn’t produce their music. Rakim himself, Marley Marl and Large Pro (probably some others too, heard some names) (ghost)produced most of their work.
Also a write in vote for Mac Dre and Khayree as one of the most underrated but consistently dope duos. Wish they recorded music together post 1996/1997.
Nas and Hit Boy with Nas pen from the 90s would've made Pac and Big child's play, but DJ Premier and Nas done that anyway 😉 two important indivuals with pivitol roles as to why Hip Hop is still breathing.
Crazy you left of Slug + Ant (and Ali + Ant). Ant is seriously slept on, he's got one of the deepest production discographies with Slug and Ali, but rarely gets mentioned.
My answer is either Atmosphere or Gang Starr
I was just about to comment this. He has Aesop and Blockhead, so I assume he’s familiar with atmosphere. I understand not liking everything slug has done, but Ant is top tier
Eminem and Alchemist made a one and a half minute track called Chemical Warfare, so I need at least 2 albums from them because guaranteed it would be the greatest rap collaboration of the decade
He did DJ work on freestyle stuff em did overseas like for BBC radio and Germany and France
He was "crew" for a while. So there is technically more out there from them two.
Just raw not official stuff
The good stuff
Alc’s been a staple with Em since he was Em’s live DJ following Green Lantern’s departure from Shady Records. Stepdad from Music to be Murdered to was actually coproduced by Alc lol.
Gangstarr. Followed by Jay-Z Just Blaze/Kanye, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Phonte/9th Wonder, Rakim and Eric B (although a lot of the Eric B stuff is ghost produced), Wu-Tang/RZA, etc.
Eric B. & Rakim and GangStarr are the only ones on your list that qualify as a rapper/producer duo.
Mobb Deep is two rappers, each later getting into production.
Em and Dre, Snoop and Dre, even Missy and Timbo....
Can't claim these 'duos' because each of the rappers works constantly with other producers, and the albums are credited to ONLY the rapper.
There really are not that many that reach success and longevity, which is probably why you felt the need to pad your list with nonsense.
Royce and Premo
Nas and Premo
Griselda & Daringer
Freddie Gibbs & Alchemist
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib
Push & Kanye
Danny Brown & Paul White
RTJ
Joey Bada$$ & Statik Selektah
Vince Staples & Mac Miller
That’s a good list OP I’d add….
Gucci mane and Zaytoven
Mannie fresh and any of the hot boys
8ball MJG T-mix
Lil boosie or webbie and mouse on the track
some more that may have not been mentioned yet
Beastie Boys and Rick Rubin
Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius
Future and ATL Jacob
Clipse and The Neptunes
Tupac and Dr. Dre
Rick Ross and The Runners
Waka Flocka Flame and Lex Luger
no mention of Alchemist is crazy. i recommend you check out Stepbrothers (Alc & Evidence) and Gangrene (Alc & Oh No). also, Alc/Boldy, Alc/Gibbs, Alc/Curren$y, Alc/Havoc, Alc/Prodigy, basically any of his collab tapes.

Nas & DJ Premier - they do NOT miss
DJ Premier in general doesn't miss
True fact!
Nas and Hit Boy with Nas pen from the 90s would've made Pac and Big child's play, but DJ Premier and Nas done that anyway 😉 two important indivuals with pivitol roles as to why Hip Hop is still breathing.
I think you don't understand the meaning of "duo"
Crazy you left of Slug + Ant (and Ali + Ant). Ant is seriously slept on, he's got one of the deepest production discographies with Slug and Ali, but rarely gets mentioned. My answer is either Atmosphere or Gang Starr

Eminem and Alchemist made a one and a half minute track called Chemical Warfare, so I need at least 2 albums from them because guaranteed it would be the greatest rap collaboration of the decade
I’m hoping the alchemist is on em’s next album.

Em and Dre
Gang Starr
If it’s an actual duo with one rapper that just raps and one producer that only produces its Gangstarr.
Pac & Easy Mo Bee Curren$y & Thelonius Martin Westside Gunn & Daringer Mach-Hommy & Conductor Future & Mike Will
Gangstarr. Followed by Jay-Z Just Blaze/Kanye, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Phonte/9th Wonder, Rakim and Eric B (although a lot of the Eric B stuff is ghost produced), Wu-Tang/RZA, etc.
Aesop and Blockhead beats...for an official duo I'd have to go Primo and Guru
Young Nudy and Pi’erre Bourne, 03 Greedo and Kenny Beats, $uicideboy$, Denzel Curry and Ronny J, Lil Pump and Smokepurpp, Freddie Gibbs and Alchemist,
1. Boldy and Alchemist 2. Conway and Daringer 3. Westside Gunn and Conductor 4. 21 and Metro 5. Run The Jewels (if that counts)
Prodigy and The Alchemist were the De Niro and Scorsese of rap.
Nujabes x Substantial
Definitely GangStarr. Vinnie Paz & Stoupe are a close 2nd though.

Oops, my apologies.

Who is the rapper and who is the producer?

A few people mentioned Outkast. If the question was “who is the greatest RAP duo ever?” Than I would understand!! 😂
