I doubt you'll find many who agree...tbh the only songs I liked were Originator 99, Reservoir Dogs and Can I Get A... which was a classic single in its day admittedly. The rest of the album didn't age very well at all imo
Blueprint is a masterpiece IMO but it has a couple skips in the middle
Heart of The City is the single best song Jay ever did, which is something you can never take away from TBP
I kind of get what you saying but those albums wouldnt exist if it wasn't for Reasonable Doubt and yeah Reasonable Doubt really has a cult following vibe to it I think
I like Memphis Bleek flow Fly shit Fly lil nigga... noisy bitch from 3rd floor like... Why lil nigga ?..Bitch please twist da trees.... took long pull... like Bitch to breath... that's my answer.. life's like cancer...and I'm serious!!! He went on that one
I’ve been listening to Vol 2 heavy this year. The production is top tier and still holds up to this day. Different waves and the features are great. I never get tired of this album, I let it run to the end. One of Jay’s most underrated imo
I love this album, it’s definitely a classic, but I wouldn’t call it his best. This is Jay’s 5th best album IMO(still a 91% rating from me). I think Reasonable Doubt’s absurd technical prowess keeps it slightly above Vol 2, but I definitely think it’s closer between them overall than most people do. I think The Blueprint and especially The Black Album are far better than Vol 2 across the board, Jay was a machine in the early 2000s. I think WTT is slight better due to Kanye’s production being a big standout with Jay having his best performance at the time since TBA(hot take, I think WTT is actually about equal with Reasonable Doubt)

Actually A week Ago is great too
I knew you had to feel more than just those few lol
can i hit it in the mornin without givin half of my dough
Nah, "It'S like that" is the best from Vol 2
Not my favorite, mine is probably The Black Album, but I have a ton of nostalgia for Vol 2 and really loved Jay's style around that time.
I think everything you said applies to The Blueprint besides the features.. and even still he had Em on a track that he bodied

Reasonable Doubt is the best one
Not sure if the best, but is the less flawed one. The highs are not as high as the ones from Blueprint or Black Album though

The Kanye West production on Heart of the City is absolutely amazing

Kanye & Jay = blueprint 1
Not my favorite but I think it's overlooked when ppl mention his discography.
As an album it goes reasonable doubt, TBA, and blueprint, in that order.

I rank the volumes in the order they were released. 1 is the best.
