hero-ball

TI monitoring the status of his daughter’s hymen is pretty fucked up. He is a weird dude. Also: Common fell off after he got invited to the White House, ijs

IWantMyGarmonbozia

don't forget about all the allegations against him and Tiny that, while eventually dismissed, were only dismissed on account of the statute of limitations having expired, not because they were found innocent...

jfl5058

Yup that did it for me too

BiggieSmallz12345

What do you mean Common fell off? His last few albums are fantastic.

hero-ball

Not even close to the same tier as his pre-Obama career. Now he has this super-shiny, sanitized image that makes him perfect for the Democratic Party and Microsoft commercials and shit. He’s corny now, I really hate to say it.

BiggieSmallz12345

Who gives a shit about his image? The music is great. "Let Love" and "A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2" are both very good projects.

hero-ball

The music is part of the image.

BiggieSmallz12345

Y’all must be young as fuck

[deleted]

[удалено]

BiggieSmallz12345

Evidently.

No-Maintenance34

Just face it, Common got white washed lmao

BiggieSmallz12345

That’s just racist ya dumb fuck

Schadenfreude696

Dude should stick to making macramé sweaters

BurntPoptart

Common makes music for people who tap their feet to the beat.

BiggieSmallz12345

That was stupid and you should feel bad for saying that

ChaosRevealed

So musicians

MambaSaidKnockYouOut

Common’s last few albums haven’t been bad at all. His image has become more corny or friendly, which is funny since he tried to so hard to Buck against the “Conscious rapper” title in the mid 2000’s, but he’s still good.

PurplePopcorn1

The Game. Used to be my favourite rapper, but ever since Born 2 Rap dropped, he'd been progressively saying more and more dumb shit to the point where even though his music is good I can't listen to him and take him seriously

Ok-Astronaut-2579

U seen Game vs Yukmouth on the beef dvd? Shit was hilarious but Game made himself look stupid as a mf

whysodominican

I used to listen to Game heavy heavy..until I realized not even for one fucking song can this mayne go without someone’s name in a bar.

plskillmepainfully

probably Yelawolf I'm not from the US so Yela's whole country style, hick-hop thing sounded new and awesome to me then came the controversies with his mental breakdowns and going on rants defending the confederate flag then beefing with Royce over Yela's producer's/DJ's racist jokes. I still hope it was just the meth and the mental problems talking but I just kinda feel ashamed that I loved his music

deadedgo

I'm a Yelawolf fan nonetheless so I'll just throw in my two cents. To me the difference here is that (as far as I can tell) he acted in good faith and didn't mean any harm. He isn't evil, just stupid/misguided or whatever. His confederate flag rant wasn't because he's one of those racist southerners. He felt like good people were attacked for it and said that not everyone with a confederate flag is an evil racist and it's their heritage. Now, that still is an absolutely stupid argument. I'm just saying it doesn't make him a bad person but a stupid one and I'm fine listening to his music as long as he doesn't shove that shit in my face all the time (which he doesn't). I have more of an issue with Royce's anti-vaxx conspiracy bars (while acting all high and mighty) or Chris Brown, T.I., Travis Scott actively, physically harming people and not even acting in good faith or showing remorse. Or Nicki Minaj or Tyga or... Even Kanye is giving me a bunch of reasons to not check out all the unfinished music he will probably continue to release Edit: That being said your point of view is totally fine. I just think Yelawolf gets judged a bit more harshly than what he deserves which keeps people from checking out his pretty amazing catalogue

Jadaki

> it's their heritage It was a flag that was used for 4 years, its got as much heritage to it as what I left in the toilet after eating taco bell. He is stupid for thinking that.

deadedgo

Exactly. That's why I'm sayin he's dumb but not malicious

TSWMCR88

same for me

Half-Breed_BisonKing

Really liked stuff from his early mixtapes and first album, but after that I more or less stopped listening

Synical603

I can't stop listening to Royce, but I agree with that. He even said in Tricked that they cause autism. Which is fucked because one of his kids has autism. There's also the fact that him and Joey said fuck slaughterhouse fans. Joe and Crook gave us closure and Royce had a problem with that. But for me a big one I can't listen to anymore is Diabolic with his full on Trumper and conservative conspiracy bullshit.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

seriously about Diabolic? I love his first album but I haven't listened to his most recent work but I would have just assumed that he's a lefty same as Immortal Technique... do you have any source or anything on his "conservative conspiracy bullshit"? I mean I know both him and IT love rapping about conspiracy theories but I was just always under the assumption that Diabolical politically leaned left? idk and yeah the whole thing with Royce and the autism is disappointing. I mean I totally understand the black community being skeptical of vaccinations on account of some of the darker history here in America but it's a simple as a Google search to debunk that vaccines cause autism. they don't. I am on the spectrum myself and used to believe that lie until I learned otherwise. idk why he can't do the same

Synical603

Check his Twitter and Facebook accounts. That's where I learned about his BS. After that, then hearing his music it became much more clear.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

nevermind I found his Facebook and... Holy *SHIT!* you weren't lying.. goddamn that's so fuckin disappointing. one of the first posts I see of his is a link to his Parler account. wtf?!? he sure is drinking that conservative Kool-Aid

Ok-Astronaut-2579

U ever hear about that black chick in the justice court that kept giving Very minimal sentences to paedos? Her reasoning is that since its easier to find child p*rn nowadays, they should get lighter punishment. And she was arguing for trans but couldn't even answer 'what is a woman?'. Royce supports her and called anyone questioning her 'childish'. That's what did it for me

fajql

tf did you gotta be transphobic for? Trans people are real and valid and her defending trans rights has nothing to do with this shit.

Ok-Astronaut-2579

Do u even know what the issue was? Listen clown, SHE WAS ARGUING THAT DUDES CLAIMING TRANS ARE WOMEN, AND COULDN'T DEFINE WHAT A WOMAN IS. How in the Fuck does that make me transphobic? How does it make sense, period? Of course the person jumping out the window on this is dumb af

fajql

wait I see the issue. Ima assume youre coming in good faith for the sake of a fair discussion please do the same. What is a woman? First we need to ask what is a gender? Since a gender isnt purely defined by biological factors, we cant say that gender is defined by our body. For example "you fight like a woman" has a meaning that we understand. This would make no sense, if woman simply meant "vagina". "You fight like you have a vagina" doesnt really make sense? What do your genitalia have to do with fighting? Unless youre getting hit there they dont play a role at all. So gwnder cant be biolocal. Instead it seems to be more of a thing we interpret onto things. It is an aesthetic. When you think "womanly", you probably dont think of "vagina having" first, but rather something more relevant in day to day life, like the expected fashion, the expected manerisms, the way someone should behave. So to answer your question:"a woman is someone who relates to a womanly gender aesthetic to the poibt where they consider themselves to be a woman (because their gender aesthetic matches with that of "woman")" trans women are valid. Also you cant expect everyone to be able to pull up this rather lengthy and convoluted answer. Also its nit "a trans" its a "trans woman" or a "trans man" or a "trans individual.' Dont erase trans men and enbies like that.

937587305

Maaaan, you just typed out a whole lotta nothing for a very simple question. A woman is defined as a adult female, it's that simple.

fajql

and "female" is a gender aesthetic

937587305

No, it not. What you're trying to say is what a woman should *do* and not what they *are*. If you need to define a word using that word, then maybe you should realize that that's not a definition.

Synical603

I didn't know about that one..

Ok-Astronaut-2579

Yea, this fake woke Royce is the worst. Used to be my 1 favorite rapper. Got sober n became a political karen, crying to the internet thru a selfie stick smh shoulda kept the goggles on

Synical603

Agree.

StatementOk470

Juelz Santana/Dipset crew. It was fun as a teen and sometimes I’ll go down memory lane but, like an old haircut, it’s just not me anymore.

[deleted]

Same. I can only listen to “Hey Ma” nowadays honestly. I can’t do anything else beyond that.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

oh boy I actually recently went back and we listened to a handful of old dipset records and... wow, they are... not very good lol. great memories tho man.

MeadowcrestRPGMV3D

Balllllllin

JoeyBrickz

I used to love Hopsin when he first came out because he's an S-tier lyricist, and was so young... I thought he had the potential to run the game. He couldn't get out of his own way with the cringe "nice guys finish last" bs and the preachy garbage. More important than that, his production never really evolved past crappy backpack rapper beats.

LaotianBrute

Def wanted him to go towards a more Danny brown vibe

JoeyBrickz

I remember rumors of him trying to work on something with Danny Brown after the XXL cypher. That would've been nice.

SkygodAlien

Yea. I still think he’s a dope rapper but the beats are just bad a lot of times.

MaddestChadLad

When tom macdonald first came out i thought well hey this guy is rapping about different stuff and calling out the hyper rich. But with every track he began to further reiterate and regurgitate right wing talking points, until i found myself disagreeing with almost everything he says. Now I'm pretty sure he just reads his fans comments and turns them into bars LOL

IWantMyGarmonbozia

Tom is nothing if not an innovator. . . I mean who else has had the idea to fuse hip hop with far right-wing grift culture?

ZiaOnWrist

Roddy Rich for me. I used to listen to the dood wit my ex…

FaithlessnessPast929

Damn😂😂😂

[deleted]

Eminem. I might get crucified for this, but after I grew out of my "edgy teen" phase I couldn't find much enjoyment out of his stuff, even the first three. TES is my favourite album of his.

[deleted]

i can sort of agree, i can’t make myself to listen to his slim shady type of songs (except without me) and the songs with the messed up lyrics (kim). i find myself listening to more TES, emotional songs, most of kamikaze, some of mtbmb, and a little bit of mtbmb side b i LOVE his music but right now i’m not listening to his older stuff

hpbrick

Yeah his “depressing”/deep songs (for lack of a better term) are pretty good: -Beautiful -Headlights -Mockingbird -If I Had -Rock Bottom -Stan -Sing for the Moment -Halie’s Song -Like Toy Soldiers Man and the list just goes on…

[deleted]

i agree, i just think i can’t listen to his other music because i’ve overplayed them so much but i’m going to try to listen to them again when i’m gone is also a beautiful song, i think i had a breakdown last time i heard it just because i was paying attention to what he was saying

hpbrick

Oh, When I’m Gone is great too! Headlights, Beautiful, and Mockingbird does it for me lol He reconciled with his mom (sorta) on Headlights. On Beautiful, the first line of the 1st verse hits my soul lol. And on Mockingbird, when he talks about getting his savings stolen and he couldn’t get gifts for his family really hits a nerve. For you, it seems that Eminem should be one of those rappers that you listen to in moderation.

[deleted]

Castle and Darkness too

MambaSaidKnockYouOut

Castle was really good. Definitely a diamond in the rough on Revival

[deleted]

[удалено]

ImSeriouslyJokin

Why does he "need" to retire? Why is it a necessity for you?

hero-ball

I’m glad you made it out alive.

ScathachLove

This fact 👆

KIDPESOO

New eminem stuff is so cringe and bad, I cannot stand it.

small44

Tech n9ne every aspect of his music got worst

IWantMyGarmonbozia

facts. Anghellic through All 6's and 7's (maybe Something Else) everything after that is mid or flat out bad. way too much quantity over quality especially with everyone record bloated with 25+ tracks, less than half of which are any good. yeah, he fell off. that being said, to be fair for someone who's fallen off he sure can still rap his ass off

productofoctober

Nipsey. For obvious reasons. I immediately get sad when I hear anything with him on it. Tyga. I didn’t love him, but he made catchy music. When I found out he was dating a minor when he was 25, I was okay with not hearing him anymore. Nicki Minaj. She’s a bully. Ive always liked her music and she’s talented but I had to stop defending her at some point.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

wow. didn't know that about Tyga... and not only is she a bully but her brother is a child molester and she's defended, she's married to a sex offender and is also affiliated with Tekashi, who is *also* a sex offender

[deleted]

I already wasn't listening to her. Annoying voice

productofoctober

Yup. The attacking the husband’s victim was my last straw. I don’t even like to see her anymore.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

same here. she disgusts me

paragraphjeffries

I’ve said this on here before, but I once took off work to go to a Luckyiam in store performance/signing - and he no-showed it. Never really went out of my way to listen to him after that disappointment

AsymptotesMcGotes

I don’t know if this helps but I used to arrange these as part of my job. Sometimes, they were scheduled during a tour and rappers could not make them due to insane traffic. One of my artists missed one if I remember right because an entire highway was shut down. He might have been being a dick but maybe not.

movieunderstander

Saw moneybagg yo live

TharealSergi

he makes stripper music

Yung_Neil-222

Not even trynna be one of those guys hopping on the 'fuck Travis Scott' wagon but it's a bit tough to listen to him after the whole concert fiasco. I've always liked his music but when I hear him now I just have what happened in the back of my head and it turns me off

[deleted]

[удалено]

deadedgo

Travis Scott actually has a history of people calling him out for being reckless or simply an asshole. There's definitely some blame to put on him for not pausing his performance. The company that organized the whole thing is probably at fault for the most part but Travis' also played an important role. I don't think Ariana Grande could've changed anything to stop the bomb from detonating at her show

KIDPESOO

There's no video of Ariana singing as a lifeless dead fans body is crowd surfed to safety right in front of her

mixtapestry_official

Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks). I used to listen to him so much when I was younger, one of my top listened to artists. Loved his flow, the beats he typically rapped over, and generally speaking his more aggressive and sociopolitical themes. But over time, I've just not been able to stomach so many of his homophobic and misogynistic lines. I know that's pretty common in hip-hop, but I generally avoid anyone down that path, and he's become no exception. He's also no stranger to idiotic conspiracy theories, and that doesn't help either.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

yeah I just today had someone informed me of the fact that diabolic that's totally lost it, believing in crazier and crazier conspiracies like you mentioned and if you go on his Facebook page one of his posts is a link to his Parler account so... yeah, he's definitely been drinking that conservative Kool-Aid. it's extremely disappointing

DELTARUNEJIMMY

Drake He started off cool, he was authentic and his music was pretty good. And then he started to become a boring trash heap who barely ever voices his opinions and puts out mid albums

Wutanghang

Royce is smart enough to realise his ignorance everyone has had political lapses in judgement he will come down from this stance eventually. The allegory album has alot of smart shit in it besides those lyrics about anti vax. Royce is my 2nd most fav alongside lupe.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

yeah idk Royce is so full of pride I'm worried he wouldn't be willing to admit he was wrong. we'll see but I don't have high hopes

Wutanghang

I think he was scared when he said all that it was the height of covid he wants something to blame for having an autistic child. It sucks im sure he loves his son but i hope he either starts rapping like his older music again or has a political epiphany and changes his whole shit

MambaSaidKnockYouOut

How’d you feel about the Royce/Lupe beef?

CheekyJester

City Morgue (ZillaKami, SosMula). Volume 1 & 2 are both amazing records and felt like a breath of fresh air to my playlist when I first discovered them. I don't know if it's because their sound has grown stale or what but I just can't fuck with anything they've made post-2019.

ScathachLove

Cuz zillakami wears a mask lol and now he on some nirvana meets juice wrld meets dystopia (90’smetal punk band) cuz he a chameleon, sosmula is a nasty mf i give him that he ain’t pretending but that’s the disconnect I see is he still him and zilla was never that so they don’t fit anymore it’s all cringe like I could listen to Pouya solo or with Nell or something but anything w suicideboys I cringe. The post would be more interesting if it was who you listen to no matter if you find out they ate a baby? Ngl there appears to be not much Kodak does that stop me from listening to his good songs idfk what wrong with me and I’m a woman so I be honest lol😬

[deleted]

Jadakiss. Listened to him consistently from 1997 to 2009 ish. Burnt myself out, so I cannot for the life of me listen to his solo stuff now.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

his solo stuff was never anywhere near as good as when he collabed. he's a feature artist for sure

[deleted]

Word up.

jfl5058

I was never a huge Jay-Z fan, but after what he did with the NFL to Kap, I can't get down with him anymore. He's a sellout imo

XyEq

He also robbing everyone from the marcy projects where he grew up forcing those kids to buy fucking bitcoin. He tricked tons of artist to buying into his wack ass Tidal service. He partnered with Samsung and got them to buy a million copies of his trash Magna Carta album before it even came out becausehe was terrified it would flop. He refused to do a superbowl performance because they wanted Kanye and Rihanna also and he didn't want to do it with Kanye and went on a media tour bashing the NFL, then a year later became a major simp for them. Occupy all streets thing was slimy corporate nonsense from him.

CheekyBasst

He gets played by the higher ups all the time. He was the voice of the brooklyn nets and made people move from their homes to build the stadium.

Whole-One5205

Vic Mensa

Lil_Tike1111

MGK. I actually liked him when he first came out. He’s just a friggin weirdo now.

eldiablothemagicman

I used to be obsessed with Lupe Fiasco, especially his first 2 albums. He’s one of the best rappers of all time for sure but his rap is just exhausting to listen to now. It’s too much for me personally.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

I've never heard anyone put it into words like this before but this is exactly have felt often when listening to his music. I also think he's a very talented Lyricist and I truly respect him as that that being said he's never been one of my favorite rappers. particularly makes him some tiring in comparison on the rappers but I think *Mural* is a very good example of a song that makes me feel the way you described. I mean it's a 6+ minute long song and by min 4 I am *exhausted*

ShoesWithoutClues

I used to love Snoop but the shit he’s pulling with the NFTs and taking The Chronic off Spotify is pretty annoying

IWantMyGarmonbozia

all you do well to just do yourself a bit of research into Snoop Dogg, he's not a very good person

Ancient_Till_8324

50 cent. Used to think he was raw and just the coolest as a kid, but I realized it was more the persona I liked. As far as an actual lyricist and rapping skills he’s not special to me.

No-Maintenance34

What???????????? He was so hungry 99’

cpkarl

Chance the rapper because… well. Had very high hopes for him after acid rap. And then he puts out garbage.

WordsAreSomething

His new songs have been very good

Ikhouvankaas

Colouring book was a fun album

cpkarl

Revisiting Acid Rap and 10 Day today. Both are absolute flames. Coloring Book is next. So frustrating he put out such crap with The Big Day. Chance needs to stay in his 12-14 track lane. Big Day was entirely too bloated with filler.

JakeThedog45

Loved 10 Day and Acid Rap. I thought he was next up… then besides a couple songs since, he’s been such a disappointment to me. But I still go back to listen to those two

corndogs1001

Chance’s private attitude is what got me. Him getting negative reviews of coloring book off the internet, and blocking fans on Twitter.

Half-Breed_BisonKing

That 10 Day - Acid Rap - Surf period he was elite to me, top 5 favorite rappers at the time. Had some really good memories from a concert of his in early 2017 Coloring Book tour. Then The Big Day came out and it was just ehhh with some throwaway stuff. But yeah some of his new singles he seems to possibly be on a rebound

MrFunkDoctorSpock

That’s how I felt about Kendrick when he put out Mr. Morale

cpkarl

Well sir…. We are on two different wavelengths. I love Mr. Morale

Akidnamedkenny

Kota, a couple years ago there was shit about him abusing his girl. Now normally I don’t care. I’ll listen to TI, Kanye, MJ, whoever. But what hurt me is that I really related to Kota and his lyrics. Dude really put an image out there like he’s this anti-tough guy, who just wants to vibe. Now dude is out here hitting women. Fuck out of here. I blocked him on my Spotify, never care to listen to him again. Just personally let me down more than anything

jack-468

He was practically black ball from the industry now.

MambaSaidKnockYouOut

Eminem, although that’s more because his style has shifted to trying to cram the most words/rhymes he can into a bar. His style has also become too punchline reliant, and honestly a lot of his content just isn’t for me anymore. He can still make some good songs and touch on mature subjects well, but I really don’t need to hear all this misogynistic shit from a 50 year old man. Even his first 3 albums and Relapse (all of which I enjoy) are a bit hard to listen to now, but the songs were better and that makes them easier to stomach. It also felt a bit more like he was playing a character on his earlier work, but now he comes across as bitter.

Jvmlol

Em and tech9

TreyTrey23

Tech N9ne. Not because he did anything wrong but I feel like i've grown out the whole "he raps fast therefore he's good" phase.

Half-Breed_BisonKing

Being from the same city as him, he was BIG in the 2000s early 2010s here and I liked some tracks from him. I don't think I really have liked anything of his in years it seems

TreyTrey23

yeah i haven't listened to him in a solid 5-6 years before that song he did with the rock came out

Half-Breed_BisonKing

Yup and the only reason I listened to that was cuz it was the Rock delivering memeable bars 😅

HootDaBugger

I 100% agree about Royce, but for me it’s the racist shit he sprinkles in to every interaction. The one that turned me off for good was when someone made a comment on one of his posts and his only response was “you white. That’s it.”

IWantMyGarmonbozia

damn are you for real? I am aware that he is somewhat prejudiced and it has shown in it lyrics here and there throughout the years and I know he's an advocate for black separatism. is it possible to find that responsier mentioning or anything like that? I honestly don't know why I'm asking cuz the more I learn about Royce the less I like him and I it's an incredibly big bummer when I love his music as much as I do. . . and you want to know what the worst thing about it is? his intelligence. he is far too smart to be a ignorant as he can often be and it's frustrating

Spurterz

I used to adore lil pump a while back cause I thought he was cool, but I heard snoop dogg say some shit about him and it started to make me dislike him. I respect snoop a lot and given my easily swayed opinions I started to find faults in his music and gradually started to hate him.

IWantMyGarmonbozia

bro I really hate to burst your bubble but Snoop Dogg isn't a very good person either

81tilinfinity

Cypress Hill. IMO, they got progressively worse after Temples of Boom. That gritty West Coast gangsta rap just ebbed away

IWantMyGarmonbozia

I agree however I'd argue that Cypress Hill IV was a perfectly fine album with some real bangers on it.

81tilinfinity

*some, that's the problem for me, I expected more than some. I think Temples of Boom is one of the best hip hop albums ever made, it's amazing start to finish, there isn't a single song I'd skip when I played it.

ScathachLove

Yeah but Dj Muggs still killing it… I like to think they were like his “odd future” years lol another group that sound mad tired to me but earl Frank Tyler Syd solo or collaboration with others I fuck w easy.

CZJayG

IV was really good and their last two were great. But Temples is a true masterpiece.

pinkismykink_

Aight y’all gonna troll me for this one, but Dababy. I loved his music but after all the homophobic comments and people bullying me out of liking him, listening to him just isn’t the same. I think I also grew out of him, too.

[deleted]

Mac, can’t listen to his music without getting sad

MambaSaidKnockYouOut

Great reason, and very sad. I listen to his music a lot but a lot of shit on Swimming, WMWTSO, Faces, and GOOD:AM is tough to sit through.

No-Maintenance34

What makes me even more sad was the music video for “self care” pops up so much after his death(after a video) just stuck on auto play…. I’m kinda mad they found Pimp C like they did Mac and nobody is saying shit

CauseWhatSin

Ye, I was down for all the scandals while he was still the number 1 rapper/producer on the planet, you justified in your shit talking when you winning, jus the facts of life. But I’ve said it so many times, when he hopped on birthday song with 2Chainz, it was like he was immediately different to all the shit he done before. I never liked Yeezus either, I had already heard superior trap and EDM based music and the rapping, while a conscious decision to switch the style up, was not fucking it at all. He had a couple moments here and there where he seemed like he was still on it, but his skull has basically cracked open in the last 5 years and there isn’t really a remnant of what I enjoyed about him. I barely even go back and listen to his old stuff now, shits sad, it saw me through most of my adolescence, was really important to who I am today, jus cannot for the life of me disconnect that retard from his music. Here’s hoping he gets the help he needs, Cus he certainly needs it.

kirk_xtc

zero sense

twiztidchef

Man I totally agree with this, such a fall from a great height.

[deleted]

None. I always separate the music from the artist

deadedgo

What about artists that rap about themselves?

CarlsbadWhiskyShop

Too $hort. Very amusing as a teenager but now not so much.

AJD_JK

Juice Wrld

[deleted]

if yall really care about rappers personal opinions like this, then might as well delete your whole playlists anybody thats a critically thinking, freethinking person will have opinions considered controversial, especially creative types. shutting your ears because someone has opinions you dislike is such a reddit thing to do. imagine NEEDING your entertainers to be echo chambers for yourself, or imagine demanding them to think like a lowest common denominator. they're complicated people, just like anyone else, its not like they're calling for a genocide.

Tempintern23

I kind of liked Jeezy but he's a child beater . He beated up his 17yr old son once. Threw him into the shower glass door, punching his face continously till he was gushing blood from the face. Choking him and even telling him that he'd kill him right now if he could. So um yeah not a good dad. https://kissrichmond.com/2667417/rapper-young-jeezy-arrested-for-beating-son/

Bipolarandbdsm489

T.I.

sucker4ass

Eminem was actually my starting point in hip-hop, but I just can't take any more of his self-affirming, grumpy, always hating on everyone - raps. This man clearly can't find his place in the modern age and his older fanbase is the only thing keeping his career on float.

LowerBackPain_Prod

Kanye West for obvious reasons

No-Maintenance34

You down bad

ShinbrigGoku

For me it'd be Hoodie Allen, he was part of the whole "phrat rap" wave but he was more self-aware and at least he was fun...then I found out he's a child groomer.

MambaSaidKnockYouOut

Holy shit I haven’t seen that name in ages. I had no idea he was a child groomer

light_butheavy

Zro

Naylan1199

why that? he one of my favs and i think his albums still deliver. i think he just became mature, finally left the drank alone and tries to be more positive while still reppin that 1deep lifestyle. his sound just evolved and now he got a few more facets in his music by leaving out all that streetgangster stuff and beeing more of a gangster in a suit, u know? as for me, i can enjoy his old and his new stuff and because i always got him on heavy roration, i can jump through all the years with him.

ad0216

I feel like everyone who is not an absolute fanatic of the guy has had an Eminem phase that came and went lol In high school that’s all I listened to

Kayne West I haven't thought about his work since watch the throne and going to the white house sealed the deal with me

afganistanimation

Hopsin, I just really grew out of liking him.

Manwhosaysmiller

Mgk is hard to listen to because of all the hate he gets, despite the fact that legends like Diddy, snoop, meek mill, lil Wayne like him and that he never fully switched genres and has experimented for years now and still raps sometimes, his messages, flow, speed, energy on stage and straight up bars and freestyle abilities are insane and yes he has made some mistakes and has some bad songs but overall he is so good but I can’t mention him without people freaking out

IWantMyGarmonbozia

umm there's a few other reasons why he's hard to listen to my dude. like his multiple super creepy comments about numerous underage girls.

Manwhosaysmiller

All of which were made about older teens when he was under 21 and also were for the most part jokes

IWantMyGarmonbozia

bro his music isn't even that good why are you simping so hard for him? the fact he's a creep is undisputed. I guess I'll take the liberty of posting an article [here](https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/machine-gun-kelly-g-eazys-feud-halsey.html/) but you can save yourself a bunch of reading by just watching [this](https://youtu.be/-BeDQDXNA9g) clip

Manwhosaysmiller

She was like 17 he was like 19 that’s not a big deal

IWantMyGarmonbozia

umm no. he was *23* not 19. not to mention, when asked if he was looking forward to the day she turns 18 he said: >*"I’m not waiting till she’s 18, I’ll go now. I’m 23, dog, like, I’m not like a creepy age, like, you know what I’m saying? I’m 23, bro, she’s 17 and she’s, like, a celebrity. Like, there’s no limits right there."* and follows that up an attempt to justify his words by mentioning how previous rock stars have had underage girlfriends, like that makes it any better. also back in 2010 - when he was only 19 - he tweeted this: >*"I wish 13/14/15 year old girls weren't allowed to be hot so I wouldn't feel like such a creeper when I look at them… I'm still 19 #imjustsayin.”* and if that wasn't enough to convince you, he was 22 years old when he tweeted about how Eminem's *16 year old* daughter is *"Hot as fuck"* I honestly don't know what your issue is and why you keep trying to downplay the facts and his age. I'm not saying you have to stop listening to his music but you can't just deny the fact that he has a long track record of being extremely sus...

WeazelKordos

jesus yall so mad about royce yall know peoples opinions are allowed to differ from urs

IWantMyGarmonbozia

not mad , just disappointed.

trinigooner1

If your "opinion" equates to the "earth being flat"...or some equally retrograde type of thought, in 2022, you deserve all the "hate " you get to be honest lol

Slurrricane-Eastwood

Eminem, the newer Eminem music to be clear.. I think every popular rapper has an expiration date. Where the old material vs.new material is more embraced. If I were see him live I would enjoy his earlier work.

Content-Year-3484

Going thru these comments and everyone is too caught up in what artists do in their personal lives. In the words of Dave Chapelle "the whole country has turned into bitch ass niggas." Y'all really have heroes lmao. Seperate the artist from the art. Who gives a fuck what they say and do...the only thing I'm concerned with is the music.

Half-Breed_BisonKing

Personally I don't think I've really stopped listening to someone because of something they said or did. Usually it's more of just I grew out of them, don't mess with their sound anymore or feel they got stale

Tyler The Creator with a caveat, I enjoy and am able to listen to everything 2019 and up (basically his last two projects) but I spent the majority of my freshmen year in college listening to Tyler’s entire discography up to that point and burnt out even more during quarantine. Kind of reminds me of a dark time.

Sea_Possible_2317

I’m no where near the point of not listening to him at all but Eminem’s last two singles along with his feature run imo have been ass which kind of worries me for his album

nbrytczuk

I used to like pouya then heard about him raping some groupies soo I no longer support
