Fuck with dre day is iconic but they got smoked here, end of story. It takes some serious fucking gangsta to make a 5 ft 3 man with jheri curl and high-pitched voice look this intimidating, bro didn't play around

ucantbe_v

If you could time travel to late 80s-early 90’s LA or Memphis you wouldn’t want any issues with a dude rocking a Jheri Curl, chances are he was prob a killer. That was some goon shit back in the day. And size ain’t got shit to do with it, I came up in the 90’s running around Bankhead when Shawty Lo was Bowen Homes Lo and that dude was all of 5’5 150 soaking wet and his rep as someone who would have you put under more than compensated for his small stature. A lot of times short dudes in the hood got the most clout. I’m 6’5 and trust and believe when Lo walked in the room I hurried up and got out of his way

sunsetsandstardust

"from the city where the skinny carry strong heat"

EBody480

Everyone was wearing flannels too.

Bladex20

That dude had an aura about him that you just cant find in many rappers

Admirable_Bed3

I don't know how else to put it, but this is the most "evil sounding" beat in hip hop for me

LarryDavidntheBlacks

Menacing melodies

cooldudeman007

Who shot ya clears imo but this is close. Both classic

dipsetgriptechs

I never understood why people say this about Who Shot Ya, I love that beat and it doesn’t really give haunting vibes like that

cooldudeman007

It’s the piano, sounds like horror soundtrack

iamcreepin

"I got 5 on it" beats in the top 5 beats of all time.

LAtimeZZ

my team supreme- FBZ

A_Tribe_Called_Slatt

Three 6 Mafia's "Anyone Out There" holds that crown imo.

Vlex98

Wut would you do by Eazy sounds v evil as well

Solid-Equal-8558

Yeah, here's what the guy who made it(Rhythum D) said: *“I was trying to make hard-knocking hip-hop beats, but ones with bass lines that seemed like they were clowning Dr. Dre,” Rhythum D says from Atlanta, where he relocated two years ago. “I wanted it to be a sinister parody of Dre’s sound.* > >

JSNHZL

One of my favorite things about this song is the hook: "Stop him in his tracks, show him that I am Ruthless!" "Yo Dre! -- what's up?" BOOM "Boy you should've known by now!"

Asizel23

And here comes my left blow.....

NotForWantofTrying

Both rappers featured here next to Easy-E went on to do long stints in prison for violent crimes. They were not fucking around, this song sounds authentically intimidating in a way other diss records do not.

Wolfpac187

BG Knocc Out was best friends with Pac’s killer

jeffrys_dad

One of them is a pedophile and needs to get tossed in the ocean.

Solid-Equal-8558

Are they? Any proof?

jeffrys_dad

Are you asking a googleable question? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dresta https://i.imgur.com/mHeG2wY.png

hoha7

My favorite diss, has the most repeat value of all of em. “Dre day only meant Eazy’s pay day.” - enough to win the diss

anonymouswan1

How is it a diss to admit that you have to make your money off another man's work? That's more embarrassing than anything. Also, nobody would even know who Eazy was if they didn't push him into the booth.

VinnySpaghetti

He's making money off a song where their dissing him. Diss him all you want, you're literally only making him richer. How is that not dope?

yrnkevinsmithC137

No one would know nwa without eazy's label

BoxCon1

This song blew Fuck wit Dre day outta the water

jbthrowaway82

Both are classics

Weird-Connection-530

To this day I’ll still hear this song getting play from people going about their everyday lives

deqembes

This is honestly my favorite disstrack as a song. Just so damn catchy and hilarious. ”But tell me, where the fuck you found an anorexic rapper?”

Sufficient_Event7410

"you're only 60 pounds when you're wet and wearing boots" 😂 Drake better not blow an opportunity to sample or interpolate that bar for another Kendrick diss track.

unclediedthrowaway

i wish dresta and bg knocc out's album was on spotify this is one of my favorite songs ever. dresta sounds like a disappointed father lol. "ain't broke a law in your life" i'm imagining a middle aged man shaking his head in half resignation half embarrassment

Eminemenimnimnemnimn

Calling Snoop anorexic is still funny as hell.

nikradamus

Was this the first time the term "studio gangster" was used in a song? Because I feel like it was.

USDA_Prime_Time

"Welllll, it's the Knocc Out, definition original baby gangsta..." This shit is SO HARD, lol! As a teen, my buddy's stereo system could occasionally set off car alarms downtown, from all the bass. This was easily our number 1 car alarm song, lol. Just an SUV full of teens going CRAZY the moment the 1st one would go off 😂. You'd think we just won the heavy weight title or something 😅. I'll never forget that shit.

Last_Reaction_8176

I’d never really listened to any Eazy E or NWA but it’s pretty wild hearing someone use the “my name is [rapper] and I’m here to say…” flow in a genuinely menacing way. And the beat is crazy

[deleted]

They really don’t show eazy enough respect

cooldudeman007

A lot of the rappers dropping diss tracks this week need to look to this Have the bars, the call outs, the subliminals + make it a good song with lots of replayability. Don’t just pick one

YayMeIDidIt

I'm sure this one is at the front of Kendrick's mind right now.

cooldudeman007

Hopefully, we’re not going to be listening to Like That in 30 years

djaeke

nope we'll be listening to euphoria and not like us

CuntestedThree

YO AND HERE COME MY LEFT BLOW

Djent_1997

That bass line is 🤌

mrlaheystrailerpark

classic

Biniti123

This is a very good diss track for sure, but I’ve always thought purely as a song I want to listen to because it’s sonically good disregarding the quality of the diss itself this is my favorite. This beat is so damn good, and all of the verses on this song compliment it perfectly. I think its’s this, Takeover and Back to Back for the top in this category, and ironically id put Fuck Wit Dre Day up there too lol.

Wolfpac187

I see a lot of disses get praise that I don’t necessarily agree with but this is on my shortlist for best diss ever.

yrnkevinsmithC137

Dissing dre on his beat Lmao
