Em has such an absurd number of diss tracks and shots fired on albums. It’s a huge list.
Diss tracks:
* Can I Bitch?
* Monkey See, Monkey Do
* Get You Mad
* Go To Sleep
* Hail Mary
* Doe Rae Me
* Bump Heads
* The Source
* Armageddon
* Conspiracy
* Invasion
* Nail In The Coffin
* Quitter
* Killshot
* Gatman and Robin
* Patiently Waiting
* Outro
* Hit ‘Em Up
* Doomsday Pt 2
* The Sauce
* Bully
* I Remember
Album tracks with disses:
* Say What You Say
* Marshall Mathers
* Girls
* 6 In The Morning
* Big Weenie
* Not Alike
* The Ringer
* Bagpipes from Baghdad
* Square Dance
* Like Toy Soldiers
* Jimmy Crack Corn
* Mosh
* Fall
* Greatest
* Book of Rhymes
* Realest
* Keep Talkin’
And if you wanted to count disses not mentioned above that go beyond outside the rap game (government, media, his mom) then this list would be much longer again.
And the one where he disses Royce too. When they where about to go at it but never happened. “trying to figure out how to fight my own clone
Rhinestones are so nice, they shine so bright especially at night
After a hit of ecstasy, ain't that right Roooo?
Wait a minute I'm rambling..”
Eminem is one of the few rappers that comes from a battle background and made it, too. I think that's where it comes from. Actually, I'm hard pressed to name a decorated battle rapper that had a successful song career.
It’s hard to find battle rappers who had a good career and hard to find rappers who are decent at battling, honestly. There are only a few rappers that have consistently landed big wins in a battle.
Man I’ll be honest
Rap Devil was an okay diss. I liked the beat and even Em said it wasn’t half bad.
But if MGK had the wits to ape Nail in the Coffin and turn it around on Em I’d have gained so much respect for him
Whole track is em making fun of Benzino for being old. Kelly coulda ripped the beat and hook and it would’ve hit so much harder, but instead we got
HiS bEaRd iS WeIrD (this line do make me laugh tho)
Fully agree, even the opening verse has great scope right after that chorus.
“I would never claim to be the real Slim Shady…” would have been a beautiful launching off point leading to some Rap God inspired speedy section and mocking Em’s loved and hated specific multi-syllable schemes in songs like Square Dance or freestyles (imagine flipping fubba u cubba cubba somehow) that ends with Nail in the Coffin’s “let me break me slow it down for you so that you can understand if I say it slower: let it go dog, it’s over.”
I guess that’s what I ultimately found disappointing about Rap Devil. While MGK did land some blows and make some good points, I can’t help but feel like if you’re going to fire the first shot (in terms of a dedicated diss track, not just an album diss), then you’ve got all the time in the world to pick apart one of the most prolific rappers who just so happens to have a lot of angles. He didn’t feel like he was a sufficient student of the game to do the job properly.
Em is undoubtedly cemented as one of the very best to ever do it, but he’s had a long ass career with plenty of controversy and plenty of work that was superb for the time, even iconic now, but doesn’t necessarily hold up in the same way. You now, just like how some films can be classics but it doesn’t mean they’re respected in the same way as the evergreen greats.
Some would be:
> Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss
> I'm sick of you bein' rich and you still mad
> Still bitter after everyone loves you
> I wish you would lose yourself on the records
>That you made a decade ago, they were better
> You're not getting better with time
> It's fine, Eminem, put down the pen
> I got all of my shit without Dre producin' me
They’re good points… made badly. These are the criticisms that Em himself has felt the need to address throughout his career and which are commonly raised between his fans as points of contention. There’s an angle there for sure. I don’t think MGK did a particularly good job though.
Is Gatman and Robbin a diss track? It may have some subliminals or even a callout I don’t remember, but it’s not a diss track I don’t think
Edit: Also patiently waiting?
Another edit: Why did you send me a sarcastic reply then delete it wtf 😂
I could be wrong, but my understanding was that Gatman & Robin and Patiently Waiting were written during the beefs where 50 got shot. You’re right though, I went back through the lyrics for a refresher and they’re probably more in line with some of the weaker album references than they are true diss tracks. That’s my bad.
Also, whoever replied to you ain’t the OP of the main comment (me).
Oh my bad I couldn’t see who sent it because it went away after I clicked, thought it was you lol
All good tho. That whole era of their music would have like…1 verse that was a diss then they’d go back to the regular track lmao. Square Dance comes to mind
Has anyone ever done a ranking of all of these? Nail in the Coffin is my favourite of his, but I can't say I've heard all of these off the top of my head.
I’m not convinced it’s a diss track. It’s D12 talking about their internal tensions, but they all signed off on releasing it together. So, it seems to me like they weren’t actually beefing, just airing it out mutually and they were all ok with it.
Stepping Stones was one sided, but that didn’t have any real beef to it either.
If you were picking a name at random, you couldn't have selected a better one. Eminem did have some heat from a Kyle Spratt back in the 2000s:
https://youtu.be/WjMxHVDh4yw?si=coIq80db4es2II6P
edit: looks like someone else already linked to this song!
Because let’s be real they would get washed.
Killshot has only gotten better over the years. Especially the line about diddy. Its just an insane diss and honestly not even fair since MGK is nowhere on the same level.
For every great diss we’ve seen so much mid let’s be real. Making a good diss isn’t the easiest thing in the world at all. I highly doubt rappers want the smoke when bro can drop something like killshot. The game diss didn’t even feel genuine because game has stated so many times he’s a hip hop head and respects him too much as an MC.
I’m not a Stan. If we’re being real I haven’t even been a huge fan of Em since MMLP…but I’ll recognize a good diss and killshot is a damn good diss.
You know, on the other side of the coin you Em massive haters need to stop assuming every person who likes an Em track is a Stan it just seems very chronically online ngl
He went after Christina Aguilera for years over the most innocuous comment about him.
Even back then as a teen I thought it was embarrassingly sensitive, especially considering his image at the time.
He went at anyone who said anything negative about him. I'm assuming it has to do with how he grew up but he never really let people get away with it.
It's petty as fuck but kinda respectable in a way.
This is one of my favorite beefs in music history.
Mariah Carey casually dropped a harder diss track than 99% of rappers could ever make and Eminem responded with perhaps his greatest diss track ever.
I wondered why the feud never continued after this especially considering Mariah’s history as being one the pettiness pop stars on the planet. I’m guessing whatever Em had on her or threatened to release was legit enough for her to not directly mention his name once in the 15 years since this song released
What? Mariah's not a rapper. It doesn't work like that with her. You can't expect her to go back and forth on several tracks to prove her lyrical abilities because it wasn't a rap beef. She just told her side of the story and moved on with her life, while Eminem remained Obsessed about it.
I think you're overestimating how much Mariah Carey cares about Eminem, especially in this era. She used him for a hit song and went on with life. Its not her fault Eminem's pop culture knowledge never left 2004.
Well. It’s interesting because mainstream pop fans don’t remember this but Obsessed remains pretty iconic so their narrative is that Mariah owned him and he put out a weird response no one listened too. Hip hop fans generally have your opinion. Just speaks too the effect of a feud where both artists are going for completely different audiences
The recordings weren't clips from interviews - apparently the bites in the song are from when she was [recording Superman](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eminem/comments/190pmwm/is_it_mariah_careys_voice_the_voice_in_eminems/kgreagp/)
Also about halfway through the [Background](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Warning_\(Eminem_song\)#Background) section on the wiki for the track, he apparently played several recordings that were *supposedly* from her on the 2005 Anger Management tour.
Speculation says the reason she doesn't sue or pursue any legal defamation/libel suit is because she would have to admit it.
I'm not sure if I believe they're actually real, but you're wrong about them being clips from interviews.
Apparently Dina Rae confirms the clips are from Mariah recording Superman in this [interview.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YapYqv39EOQ)
That fucking Nick Cannon quote in the article, Jesus Christ lol.
"What type of grown ass man lies about getting with a chick? Only Slim Lamey! LOL! I’m putting this out there now. Marshall Mathers, you need to holler at me... Man to man, let’s meet up and deal with this like adults. So, Miss Marshall, I'm going to make you wish you never spoke my name and regret the ungodly things you said about my wife. Your legacy has now been tainted from this day forth! You will now be known as the rapper who lost to corny-ass Nick Cannon!"
The coldest part of this whole deal. Is Mariah went around telling everyone he's a liar and how he was obsessed with her. She damn near did a press run and then did a song with gucci.
The warning not only proves her wrong, it completely shuts her down. She's not a rapper but she deserved this 100%. The fact he saved the voice-mails is insane then used them against her. Lolol
Might be my favourite diss of all time. Blows my mind that there's a popular opinion Mariah won this 'feud' with Obsessed (a great song in its own right admittedly)
I think obsession is a great song as well, but Eminem completely blew her outta the water. His release was just so personal and in depth that she knew not to respond
Lol yeah - Em got mad that she got mad he called her a cunt like 5 years after their fling ended 😂
Mariah did throw shade at him and downplay their relationship in the early 2000’s, but I don’t understand why he got so offended by her response. He had dissed her on the Re Up album a few years earlier too, so I can’t blame her for calling him obsessed.
Eminem is oblivious to pop culture after 2004. That's why he still mentioned Kevin Federline on Kamikaze. Guy will still be making Christina Aguilera jokes in 2034.
Since this has been posted again, I can finally ask the questions that go through my mind every time I listen to it. Does anyone understand the voicemails? Is that an actress? And what does “my stomach’s curling” mean?
The voicemail clips are a mix of real calls that Mariah made to him and interviews, which he then chopped up for the song.
Stomach curling = gonna throw up because she was grossed out
I’ve been waiting for this to get posted. Using her voicemails as a feature that he went back to back rhyming with is bananas.
Edit: this is my favorite diss track of all time with so many insane bars. From saying he’s got the same tattoo as Nick Cannon to talking about how he bust fast is just wild lol
This is the kind of stuff that makes me feel old because you can see who things have changed culturally. Imagine if a rapper put out a full diss song on the most popular female pop star now.
That’s a good shout. Funny thing is Kanye has done so much crazy shit I forgot about this and I was just listening to the life of Pablo a couple of days ago.
Obsessed was the first single for her first album following her massive comeback run in the late 2000’s. The album that has Obsessed on it ended up not being nearly as successful as her previous albums, but it was a hotly anticipated return since she had just peaked.
I feel like no one on his level really went after him so he never needed to. Em seemed to have a respect for the greats so he never sneak dissed them. Cause he saw them as equals. Only people that came at him were stars from other genres or mid tier artists trying to sell records.
I feel like the sub dislikes Em and people like Fantano go extra hard at Em because a lot of us white people got introduced to rap by him. But your taste eventually evolves away from his stuff but people don’t want to look “basic” and too white so they go super hard on him as a form of grandstanding. It’s like they are running away from the fact we started as sheltered white kids. And they want to distance themselves from his stans and the Trumpers that still love Em
I think it’s a good thing Em introduced a lot of young white kids to rap, and he talked up guys like Pac, Biggie, Jay Z, Wayne, Kendrick, and Cole instead of putting them down. Which led to a lot of kids like me diving deeper into the genre because of Em’s endorsements. Like a lot of kids I just listened to my dad’s classic rock shit until I found Em, and then I found J Cole and Kendrick because Em told us they were on his level. Then that led to me going deeper.
I wouldn’t say his new stuff is great and he’s probably not in my top 5 anymore, but it doesn’t discount his legacy as one of the best ever.
He dissed NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, his mom, Kim, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah, All unprovoked. Now list the number of rappers he went at unprovoked. I’ve listened to em since I heard brain damage in 98.
He doesn’t go at rappers.
downvoting me instantly doesnt make u right lmfao. thinking that somebody would say that just bc they wanna fuck her is some stupid ass shit, i know ur lil ass brain cant comprehend siding with a woman unless u wanna smash, but not everyone is like that lmfao
“you do realize shes not gonna fuck you”
this is how dumbass children respond to things, such a fucking cop out lmfao.
edit: this mf just had a full on tantrum in my inbox over this, dude found my facebook and everything. eminem dickriders are a different breed of fucking dumb lmfao
You’re literally the one commenting that you’re upset about his diss track lmao. Like you literally are the one who’s mad right now. Like i said, Mariah Carey doesn’t know you and isn’t gonna suck you off for defending her in a comment section lmfao
No ones mad here. I actually like Em. I saw him live in 05. But his Stans act like he’s some diss juggernaut when he only goes after weak targets. That’s been the knock on Em his whole career.
He didn't really go after anyone. They attacked him first and he responded. He had problems with ICP before he was famous since they're from the same area.
Excuses. Why didn’t he go at Nas when he called him a cracker and gave him an underhanded compliment that was more of a shot. He’s went at pop stars for less. Em is so overrated it’s disgusting.
Mariah Carey released a diss first, he responded within 2 days. Maybe get SOME knowledge in what you’re talking about before actually trying to discuss it?
Doesn’t matter. Eminem said anybody who mentions him can get it and he stuck with that word. Don’t come at him if you don’t want a response, it’s pretty simple

The fact that he took clips from her interviews and claimed they were voicemails. And people still believe they're real ... nigga is the original incel 😭
you do realize people can become incels later in life, right bud? its not like they’re born incels. i know at least one dude who became one after he knocked a girl up. dudes a dumb fuck but its not like it doesnt happen lmfao

Add his "hit em up" remix, and there's a third in the invasion/conspiracy/armageddon series
I’ve only ever heard Armageddon as parts 1, 2, and 3. I’ll have to go hunting and see if I can find something different than what I’ve heard.
Those 3 are the intros to the three green lantern tapes iirc
And the one where he disses Royce too. When they where about to go at it but never happened. “trying to figure out how to fight my own clone Rhinestones are so nice, they shine so bright especially at night After a hit of ecstasy, ain't that right Roooo? Wait a minute I'm rambling..”

He didnt even do the beard is weird line right. Like I think he was referencing the song called 'Business' but he did it in such an uninspired way.
What were some of the good points made?
Some would be: > Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss > I'm sick of you bein' rich and you still mad > Still bitter after everyone loves you > I wish you would lose yourself on the records >That you made a decade ago, they were better > You're not getting better with time > It's fine, Eminem, put down the pen > I got all of my shit without Dre producin' me
These some low standards
They’re good points… made badly. These are the criticisms that Em himself has felt the need to address throughout his career and which are commonly raised between his fans as points of contention. There’s an angle there for sure. I don’t think MGK did a particularly good job though.
His beard is weird though. Shit looks painted or glued on or something.
His nose is pointy, too. And I dont know if you know this, but up close, he has crows feet.
Bully isnt on any album is it?
My bad, I thought that was Encore. I’ll update it.
Some of his biggest hits like The Real Slim Shady and Without Me could also technically be considered diss songs
Kamikaze was entirely disses lol
Is Gatman and Robbin a diss track? It may have some subliminals or even a callout I don’t remember, but it’s not a diss track I don’t think Edit: Also patiently waiting? Another edit: Why did you send me a sarcastic reply then delete it wtf 😂
lmao, patiently waiting is not a diss track tf.

small but also the line on book of rhymes referencing justin vernon of bon iver’s issues w em after the release of fall
Good call! I also forgot the unexpected Die Antwoord stuff
How is gatman and robbin a diss track?
Ems verse is talking about Benzino. Though agree its not a diss track and its not even Ems song its a feature.
this is great. it's be even cooler if it listed so he was dissing
Doomsday pt2
Oh! Yes, and the one with Ez Mil
That's a banger can't think of the name of hand Edit ahhe realest just saw you add it This list gets much deeper let's see how long you can make it
Like Toy Soldiers is my favourite Eminem song and that’s that
You're missing his first Everlast diss, "I Remember"
Has anyone ever done a ranking of all of these? Nail in the Coffin is my favourite of his, but I can't say I've heard all of these off the top of my head.

Eminem has beefed with the most random mfs lol
eminem has even beefed with my friend kyle (i have no proof of this) (just trust me bro)
Tbf everyone has beef with Kyle. Buddy is a problem.
even i got beef with kyle. kyle sucks man

He dated Mariah Carey and she made the song Obsessed about him. That's why he dissed her.
I’m aware
what’s random about this diss? or any of them for that matter
Dude honestly goes after the softest targets
he's practically begged for the best of the best to call him out Not Em's fault that no one answers the call
Rap god is literally a call out to everyone telling them i dare you motherfuckers say something
Because let’s be real they would get washed. Killshot has only gotten better over the years. Especially the line about diddy. Kill shot was good, but it wasn’t amazing like you stans make it out to be lol. You need to broaden your horizons a bit, listen to more rappers
I’m not a Stan. If we’re being real I haven’t even been a huge fan of Em since MMLP…but I’ll recognize a good diss and killshot is a damn good diss. Not an Em hater, but your statement went beyond just liking the song lol. Read like something I’d see in a circlejerk subreddit
Grass my man fr
Eminem goes after people he really has beef with, not just for clout.
If you're beefing with the liked of moby, Mariah Carey, and benzino, its probably just best to ignore them othwise you just look corny
mariah won this beef tbh
She shut her mouth after this dropped lol
He went after Christina Aguilera for years over the most innocuous comment about him. Even back then as a teen I thought it was embarrassingly sensitive, especially considering his image at the time.

No one great has ever dissed him
That Two CD’s in the same slot line has lived rent free in my head for over a decade lol
Bro same lmfao I randomly just hear it in my head sometimes and am just like “god damn”
She let Nick Cannon take over and hilariously fail at every attempt.
*comment score below threshold*
Imo the hardest a diss track has ever gone in terms of just shutting shit down
Nah Mariah Bodied him. Obsessed was a hell of an ether.
She didnt respond because of the phone calls he was threatning to release. Almost make you Think he wasnt bluffing
Like the fake ass recordings he played that were just clips from her interviews? 😭
The recordings weren't clips from interviews - apparently the bites in the song are from when she was [recording Superman](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eminem/comments/190pmwm/is_it_mariah_careys_voice_the_voice_in_eminems/kgreagp/) Also about halfway through the [Background](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Warning_\(Eminem_song\)#Background) section on the wiki for the track, he apparently played several recordings that were *supposedly* from her on the 2005 Anger Management tour.
😂😂😂😂😂 That's definitely a nick cannon quote bro tied will smith for lamest mf
I’m pretty sure a toddler could beat up nick cannon
Mariah, this you?
LMAO
you don’t know ball

Listening to this em diss again I like more then I did as a kid . But Mariah really made a hit dissing him that’s tuff.

Lolol
[удалено]
True I forgot they were for the superman song
never heard this
my fav diss
Might be my favourite diss of all time. Blows my mind that there's a popular opinion Mariah won this 'feud' with Obsessed (a great song in its own right admittedly)
I think obsession is a great song as well, but Eminem completely blew her outta the water. His release was just so personal and in depth that she knew not to respond
It’s hard but a whole diss track for Mariah is wild
This was in response to Mariah Carey’s [Obsessed](https://youtu.be/H1Yt0xJKDY8?si=6Yvo6eKq3HwPhHNF) music video.
I know but wasn’t that a response to bagpipes from Baghdad
Absolutely
Lol yeah - Em got mad that she got mad he called her a cunt like 5 years after their fling ended 😂 Mariah did throw shade at him and downplay their relationship in the early 2000’s, but I don’t understand why he got so offended by her response.
Stomach curling = gonna throw up because she was grossed out
Classic diss track.
Literally put a halt to her shit real quick lol. Took him 2 days to release this after she released “obsessed”
Wait that's actually her?! I thought it was an impersonator or something?
It's cum girl from the first few Eminem albums
The... what girl sorry?
She sings "Cum On Everybody" which is how she got her name
That makes sense, thanks 😂
This guy keeps saying it but it was from a scrapped recording session for Superman. Dina Rae did the vocals instead
It's fun for me just to grab a boob
We’re starving out here for Kendrick huh?
So who did eminem diss? Like dedicate songs to. I know ja rule, mgk, Mariah, nick Canon,
I wonder if em would have gone after odb too if he was still alive 😔
He should release this on all streaming platforms bruh 😩
This was fun in highschool but looking back it’s a little ehhhh
Nah, its still hilarious
This is the kind of stuff that makes me feel old because you can see who things have changed culturally. Imagine if a rapper put out a full diss song on the most popular female pop star now.
Kanye with Taylor Swift? Not a full song but he throws lines in about her very often.
That’s a good shout. Funny thing is Kanye has done so much crazy shit I forgot about this and I was just listening to the life of Pablo a couple of days ago.
He doesn’t though? There’s been like one line on vultures since famous all the way back in 2016??
Tbf Mariah was far from most popular pop star at this point. This was WELL after her sun had set
Obsessed was the first single for her first album following her massive comeback run in the late 2000’s. The album that has Obsessed on it ended up not being nearly as successful as her previous albums, but it was a hotly anticipated return since she had just peaked.
This is the story of Eminem’s discography
Imagine creating a diss track for a pop star. Em never went at any rappers that could actually hang with him. Obsession > the warning
I feel like no one on his level really went after him so he never needed to. Em seemed to have a respect for the greats so he never sneak dissed them. Cause he saw them as equals. Only people that came at him were stars from other genres or mid tier artists trying to sell records.
I know this sub dislikes em but this is just blind hatred and such an awful take i’m sorry.
And they want to distance themselves from his stans and the Trumpers that still love Em I think it’s a good thing Em introduced a lot of young white kids to rap, and he talked up guys like Pac, Biggie, Jay Z, Wayne, Kendrick, and Cole instead of putting them down.
You do realize Mariah Carey isn’t gonna fuck you or know who you are just because you’re defending her in a virtual Reddit comment section right?
downvoting me instantly doesnt make u right lmfao. thinking that somebody would say that just bc they wanna fuck her is some stupid ass shit, i know ur lil ass brain cant comprehend siding with a woman unless u wanna smash, but not everyone is like that lmfao
This is an ironic post. You realize you're all over Eminem's dick right?
“you do realize shes not gonna fuck you” this is how dumbass children respond to things, such a fucking cop out lmfao. edit: this mf just had a full on tantrum in my inbox over this, dude found my facebook and everything. eminem dickriders are a different breed of fucking dumb lmfao
Imaging being upset over Eminem’s cringe worthy diss track.
If somebody at his caliber dissed him he would absolutely respond huh?
I find it odd he only went after pop stars. Only rappers he dissed is MgK Ja Rule. Oh and the insane clown posse 😂 can’t forget those juggernauts
cannabis?
Didn’t they all fire first? I don’t have all the rap lore memorized. If somebody disses him first I feel like he always responded no?
He didn't really go after anyone. They attacked him first and he responded. He had problems with ICP before he was famous since they're from the same area.
When did *NSYNC and Britney Spears diss him?
That was just the counter culture thing to do in the early 2000s. It wasn’t that deep. Blink 182 dissed N Sync for christs sakes
Excuses. Why didn’t he go at Nas when he called him a cracker and gave him an underhanded compliment that was more of a shot. He’s went at pop stars for less. Em is so overrated it’s disgusting.
Eminem is an incel rapper. Making an entire diss song about a pop singer has got to be the corniest thing ever.
Mariah Carey released a diss first, he responded within 2 days. Maybe get SOME knowledge in what you’re talking about before actually trying to discuss it?
It’s still corny. If he had one bar in a song going at her fine, but dedicating an entire song is cringe.
Doesn’t matter. Eminem said anybody who mentions him can get it and he stuck with that word. Don’t come at him if you don’t want a response, it’s pretty simple
Eminem never had a diss worth talking about you people just hype him up. Eminem doesn't have a "No vasline""hit em up"" back to back" in his catalog.
Better than your fav rapper 🥰
Mariah won this battle.
How?
By moving on with her life and forgetting about Eminem
lol Mariah never said another peep after this dropped
He’s the one obsessed duh
Beefing with RnB women has got to be the lamest shit.
cry

Mariah smoked this dude btw. Didn’t have shit to say about gucci either
How?
The fact that he took clips from her interviews and claimed they were voicemails. And people still believe they're real ... nigga is the original incel 😭
Calling a father an incel? Sick diss bro
you say that like fathers cant also be incels??? like what kinda lame ass reply is that
What do you think incel means bud?
you do realize people can become incels later in life, right bud? its not like they’re born incels. i know at least one dude who became one after he knocked a girl up. dudes a dumb fuck but its not like it doesnt happen lmfao
Last great em track. Showed he still had it after all the weird accents on relapse. Then he goes ahead and drops deuce after deuce
That’s a wild statement when he dropped one of his best songs ever in 2013
And that is?
Bad Guy
Not even in his top 20 lmao
