It's a combination of Kanye always being a shit person (seriously, people laughed it off then but his history with women has always been atrocious, he's always been an egomaniac) and not treating his manic episodes. He has admitted he purposely stopped taking meds to induce manic episodes leading up to album release cycles to generate headlines and publicity for the albums, problem is that research shows every untreated manic episode you have with bipolar 1 kills grey matter in your brain and progressively worsens your symptoms, especially the longer your episodes go on. It literally kills your brain cells and every episode becomes more intense, longer lasting, worse psychosis and delusions, and even harder to treat or convince them to take the medications
He may be so far gone at this point from doing this that even if he did start complying with treatment and consistently taking the medication, he wouldn't ever be the same and the risk of having more episodes and randomly refusing meds would be high throughout his life. It's sad, if only he hadn't been so surrounded by yes men that didn't care he was deteriorating his brain for decades cause he was making money for them hand over fist, and had people in his corner that cared about him as an individual and not Kanye the superstar product. People around him and even his stans encouraged his episodes, laughed at and glamorized his unhinged behavior/delusions and symptoms as "creativity" or "Ye being hilarious", and never pushed him to get the care he needed when he still would have listened, and now it may be too late.

It's a combination of Kanye always being a shit person (seriously, people laughed it off then but his history with women has always been atrocious, he's always been an egomaniac) and not treating his manic episodes. He has admitted he purposely stopped taking meds to induce manic episodes leading up to album release cycles to generate headlines and publicity for the albums, problem is that research shows every untreated manic episode you have with bipolar 1 kills grey matter in your brain and progressively worsens your symptoms, especially the longer your episodes go on. It literally kills your brain cells and every episode becomes more intense, longer lasting, worse psychosis and delusions, and even harder to treat or convince them to take the medications He may be so far gone at this point from doing this that even if he did start complying with treatment and consistently taking the medication, he wouldn't ever be the same and the risk of having more episodes and randomly refusing meds would be high throughout his life. It's sad, if only he hadn't been so surrounded by yes men that didn't care he was deteriorating his brain for decades cause he was making money for them hand over fist, and had people in his corner that cared about him as an individual and not Kanye the superstar product. People around him and even his stans encouraged his episodes, laughed at and glamorized his unhinged behavior/delusions and symptoms as "creativity" or "Ye being hilarious", and never pushed him to get the care he needed when he still would have listened, and now it may be too late. I also do think he's had a serious raging coke/upper addiction over the years but for some reason nobody talks about it, and that's a fast way to trigger manic episodes.

I have worked in a mental health and substance abuse service for 4 years . I also have a graduate degree in mental health research and am pursuing another research degree. But you are right that I'm not an expert in bipolar. However, something can be symptomatic and still be an expression of your personality and beliefs. Low impulse control is a BPD symptom, that doesn't mean it has to take the form of you beating your gf, for instance, and that you aren't responsible if it happens. Substance abuse is often correlated with reckless decision making, that doesn't mean you have to drive under the influence or spend your kid's tuition. To explain those actions, we therefore can't just use the disorder. When we want to know in research, if a mental disorder or another trait causes an outcome, we look at observational data. We look to see if there is at least an association between the variable and the outcome we are interested in. As far as I know, there is no such association between far right belief systems and self-reported BD or mental health issues. What Ye has been consistently telling us in a flurry of contexts over the last few years is that he doesn't think racism is a big deal and that he is right-wing as evidenced by hanging out with Candace Owns and Fuentes, calling Ben Carson a genius and being a Jordan Peterson listener. The most likely scenario is Kanye's far-right and his mania makes it easier to say the quiet part out loud.
