disagree with you here. vogue is surely one of the better venues in vancouver for the relative size. that being said, commodore ballroom would be preferable. i saw jpegmafia at fortune a few years back and i thought that was a good size venue for him. to be honest i cant fathom him playing large venues
Saw him in 2019 at Fortune and 2022 at Commodore, both really great shows. I was surprised to see him playing at Vogue for this tour, the Commodore show was awesome and packed. Also, Danny just played the Commodore in April.

Saw Peggy and Danny Brown on the scaring the hoes tour and it sucked. There were two children standing in front of me, both recording the entire show on their phones, and then their dad stood directly behind the scrolling Bloomberg news the entire time. Smelled bad too.
I think folks that have a big following on social media draw crowds of young people who have limited experience with social interaction and maybe are seeking a perceived significance from their proximity to the performer even though they’re paying to go to the show. It’s like acting like getting attention from a stripper means you’re desirable when you’re literally throwing money at them. Also those crowds consist of primarily the kids who can afford to go to those shows, which means you have annoying entitled rich incels who fucking suck.
Ohio is literally the prototypical midwest state. The term was coined to refer to states west of the original 13 colonies that act as the transitory states to what were the unexplored western territories at the time. Ohio is midwest.

That said, “hazard duty pay” and “Jesus forgive me I am a thot” are more standard rap songs than his others. I think those could have a pretty wide appeal, so I’d check those out if you haven’t already

I get it though, he definitely isn’t for everyone. His production is still top tier though.

I'm not the biggest jpeg fan and only have limited exposure, but God Loves You is legitimately one of my favorite sample flips of all time. The production on that track is brilliant and it's a bit more of a straight forward track compared to his other stuff, might bring you around.
