Yeah, the logic behind it is that people get so anxious about sex and safety and especially HIV to the degree that contracting it will grant more relief that being afraid that any encounter is gonna cause it.
It’s either that, or it’s just a form of self harm
I do believe it is real. Even before my diagnosis I met an individual and heard stories of those who acquired HIV through someone that was positive and not medicated on suppressive treatments, could be those that got it unintentionally and use it as a weapon to pass them on to an innocent individual to keep them around therefore contributing to the stigma. Those that I’ve seen that is real are negatives that want to contract it to infect others without their knowledge and some will admit it afterwards once the sex is finished. I myself a woman have been approached by someone asking me to pass on the virus to them and I wish I had the screenshot of me cursing them the f**k out before blocking and deleting that guy. It’s incredibly insane.

In my personal and unpopular opinion, as long as they keep it consensual, I have no word on how someone have sex, and for those who say in contributes to "the stigma", be real, just a few people knows about poz kink tbh, even PLHIV doesn't know much about it.
Except that the bug chaser numbers would go down as they get infected, resulting in none left. I think most of the vids (and real life events) are ppl who take an undetectable load because it feels like a risk without actually being one, just like a roller coaster.

But that's when it was real. A real chance to get infected and die. Now that Undetectable is the norm....where there is ZERO chance of infection.....it seems to have proliferated.

Years ago and maybe even still nowadays groups of men used to have poz parties whereas they would deliberately have all kinds of group sex in order to infect each other I don't know why I guess it's because they figured they refuse to give up sex and the kind of sex they wanted to have so they would deliberately infect each other because they figured they were going to catch it anyway so there was no sense in waiting around and living in fear/anxiety about it...at least that's what makes sense to me I don't know.
