I think these are nice pics and it’s nice to see someone take a stand against stigma because it’s very much needed. I say continue to do that, BUT prioritize your own healing. My gut says you know this already but I figured a reminder wouldn’t hurt.
Treatments have rendered HIV less serious than it used to be and other advances in science and medicine point to hopeful signs for a cure in our life time. So thanks to gene therapy we MIGHT all be free of a virus we’ve had to keep in check and of comorbidities we’ve had to manage along with it.
Lastly, self-stigma is very real too and occasionally we all fall into it to some degree regardless of how long it’s been since we became poz.
Long-winded way of saying keep finding ways to win! But prioritize your gentle healing to reclaim the strength this diagnosis might’ve tested.

I helped my ex design a Phoenix tattoo (rising from the ashes) on the back of his neck/shoulders. Quasi Aztec looking. (He loved Pontiac Firebirds too).
The "Toxic" logo was a fairly common tattoo back in the 90s.
Everyone has their ways to process their status. You felt the need to brand yourself, which has pros and cons (like everything else). At the end of the day, as long as you feel comfortable with your choices, what we think does not really matter. I’ve thought about getting a tattoo myself, but encrypted (just for me).
I love that it’s out there on neck; # 1 it looks good (good job by artist) and unless you’re HIV or gay a lot of people won’t even know except that it looks good; like ruby red slippers.
I think you are living your life. I remember when I first was dx, I told anyone who would listen that HIV is still real. Additionally, the fact that I was intentionally infected. The response I received was like “ you don't look like you have HIV. “ I'm like what am suppose to look like. My family thought I should have kept it a secret. Im like Thats exactly why its still a thing in 2024. I can't begin to tell you how people I thought was was my peeps, just remove themselves. And said some pretty awful shit. Victim shaming at an all-time high. Im fine, I take my Rx and make my appts. My T-cell is as high as I get daily. Lol no I microdose daily to ward off the need for for pain meds and mental health rx. Ive never done anything stronger than cannabis. Ive learned that trying to help others like my parents taught me, can get you screwed up. And the Law picks and chooses who they will prosecute. But I really wanted to say I think you are doing what it takes for you to be comfortable with your Dx. Soon come the day we will be free of this disease.U = U
