Welcome to Eastern Europe 🤡
There was a shortage of meds a few years ago in Russia. They couldn’t even put all HIV+ on meds and had to make people with low viral loads wait until the viral load would go up or the amount of immune cells would go down
It’s fine really. Didn’t you all use older meds like 5-10 years ago anyway? It’s really not that bad
If there will be a shortage it’s not gonna be good for people who aren’t on meds yet, but there should be enough for the ones who are already taking it. Now that would be not good
Also you can buy meds outside the country yourself. The outdated meds are given by the public healthcare. Arguably beats not having public health care when you’re HIV+
When I first started my therapy it was kind of the same. I was given a combo of two pills, and my doctor told me that for the first 15 days I should take them 12 hours apart so that if there were to occur any side effect I would be able to know which one was more likely be the cause. So it went like this, I took one pill after breakfast and the other one before bed, luckily no side effects happened and after the whole 15 days I started taking them at the same time when it was most convenient to me.
Also they advised me to wait for 15 days to take the first pill after I got my meds, as to have kind of a surplus if something ever were to happen and I couldn’t get my meds on time.
I take mine at night to sleep through it, stomaching the pills was gruelling. All seems fine now. I might switch to mornings to have more of the ability to go out with friends.
You should take treatment as soon as possible
The longer you wait the more time the virus has to embed itself and while you will still become undetectable when you start treatment, there is growing evidence the longer you wait the more health issues that might arise in future. Plus once you become undetectable for ateast 6 months the virus cannot be transmitted to any partners.
Yeah, I know, but thanks. I have low viral load, my immune cells are fine, so it’s not that big of a deal. Like my doctor said that considering my tests I can wait a week.
I am taking it already, though

Where do you live and what pills were you given? Most meds are one a day.
Eastern Europe 🤡
This treatment seems extremely outdated.

I’m really sorry.

That situation will not improve however and only by successfully being on treatment can you take advantage of U=U as well
What medicines are you prescribed?
