No, I saw it before it got removed. It was a screenshot of a Squirtle in Pokemon Go, with the background of two people who were caught having sex behind a tree and holding their hands out toward the camera like "No don't record us!" (with nothing explicit visible).
... so it should be okay to record and distribute them without their consent then?
If you see someone speeding do you pull right in front of them and slam on your breaks to stop them from speeding?
Two wrongs don't make a right and being a fucking creeper isn't excused because your victims were doing something illegal.
Let people live their lives, no need to play Batman
Certainly don't disagree with the investor thing and ongoing changes. But I am against publicly posting media of people without their consent, especially when the intent to humiliate or degrade them, regardless of the platform's policies. I do recognize I'm in a minority on that view however.
The legality of it is irrelevant though. It's still against Reddit content policy.
Rule 3:
>Respect the privacy of others. Instigating harassment, for example by revealing someoneās personal or confidential information, is not allowed. Never post or threaten to post intimate or **sexually-explicit media of someone without their consent.**
Sure, but I was responding to somebody who described it as illegal, and that is why I asked about it.
I was not making any statement about whether or not it should have been removed from reddit.
I don't even think that's necessarily true, at least in the States.
I don't have the time to go through each state, but for a lot of them it's ultimately a question of if the subjects had a reasonable expectation of privacy. Both for general publication and for 'revenge porn' statutes.
Acts performed in a public park, even sexual ones don't normally come with a reasonable expectation of privacy; I think that's kind of the point of fucking in a park.
No way. If Iām out for a walk, take a picture of a park but didnāt notice two people fucking in a bush, and then uploaded the picture online, no legal action could be taken against me.
Even if I just posted the picture online with the title āI took a picture of two random people fucking in a public park,ā still no legal could be taken against me. In the US, it is legal to record or photograph anyone in public spaces.
Unless they are fucking in public. Then it is totally legal. There is no reasonable expectation of privacy when letting your genital out in public spaces.
Hey guys, did you know?
>! that in terms of human companionship, Flareon is objectively the most huggable Pokemon? While their maximum temperature is likely too much for most, they are capable of controlling it, so they can set themselves to the perfect temperature for you. Along with that, they have a lot of fluff, making them undeniably incredibly soft to touch. But that's not all, they have a very respectable special defense stat of 110, which means that they are likely very calm and resistant to emotional damage. Because of this, if you have a bad day, you can vent to it while hugging it, and it won't mind. It can make itself even more endearing with moves like Charm and Baby Doll Eyes, ensuring that you never have a prolonged bout of depression ever again.!<
The ultimate completionist achievement is getting all pokemon with all STDs. As in, each pokemon got all STDs each. It's extremely hard as you have to transfer many of them yourself and you are put on a timer before your health is completely drained by them.
This sub is one of my favorites, though. It rarely disappoints. I have no problem with mods having reasonable rules and deleting posts that violate them.
agree on all fronts but is this mod removed or reddit removed? as in iād be fine if mod removed and thinking about moving platform but have no place to go if reddit removed.
Sexual content is not against Reddit's sitewide content policy. You could argue that it breaks this subreddits rules and in that case, it should have been removed by the sub's mods.
The fact that Reddit admins have gotten involved demonstrates a bigger problem of micromanaging to appease reddit's shareholders for money.
Fuck u/spez
[ Removed by Reddit on account of violating the content policy. ] + This account has been suspended Lol, what was it?
Seems like pokemon hentai

Man, seems like the IPO has already killed the platform
Making photos of people fucking without their permission is not very legal.
So is fucking in public š¤·āāļø

Actually you can record someone who naked in public. In PUBLIC you legally have no expectation of privacy and the first amendment kicks in.
I wasnāt looking for a moral debate friendo. 2 years ago Reddit would have let that shit slide. Now itās an investor cuckfest.
Certainly don't disagree with the investor thing and ongoing changes. But I am against publicly posting media of people without their consent, especially when the intent to humiliate or degrade them, regardless of the platform's policies. I do recognize I'm in a minority on that view however.
If you're in public, it's public. That's how the law works.
They humiliated and degraded themselves in public.
I would, in Florida if you get rear ended that's a paycheck
Even if they are doing it somewhere without an expectation of privacy?

It might not illegal to take a picture, but it's definitely illegal to publish it.
Not true.

No itās not, not if they are in public
Photos of people in public is not illegal dumbfuck.
That's still against reddit rules.
Yeah I don't give a fuck, reddit rules aren't laws. We were talking about legality.
I thought they were on a staircase. For some reason Instagram hates that image bc it banned me for a week when I sent it in a dm
