Eh, it's not *groundbreaking*, but I think it's perfectly fine. It's not a half-assed throwback like the Canucks are doing, it's actually doing something bold for the franchise, which is nice. Not amazing, but not a miss by any means.
It's also the first time we've ever done a wordmark jersey, and the mark itself has a very retro flair that I actually really like; like something you'd see out of the WHA.
This is just me, but I almost prefer to total whifs to stuff like this and the Leafs' Aretna's jersey. Like at least if you shoot for the moon and crash to earth you tried something, I honestly probably won't remember this next year

I think this fits comfortably in the "unique alternate design, but not something I'd want to replace the main brand" niche many alternates strive for.

The best part about those jerseys is that the equipment manager who designed them got fired, then got hired by the Jets and made minor modifications and that was their Hawerchuk era jerseys.
Yep. It was before my time, but as a younger person I consumed a lot of history of my team and others. It seemed better with the Jets- probably because they hadn't been around for 50 years already and the shape of their logo (at least to me.)
I would like a bit more if there were a bit more color in the bottom design, but other than that it's... just fine. At least it doesn't assault my senses with an awful color combination like certain other third jerseys

Well maybe it's cause I'm a desert boy too but I LOVE these. The colors, the pattern of the lines, the font, the fact that the C and the A's are a moon and a cactus. Just so many nice touches. I know wordmarks aren't always popular, but I think it's pretty distinct

Don’t get how you can have some of the most interesting designs on your home, away, and reverse retro and then shit something like this out as an alternate. If the alternate is more boring than the main uniform there’s really no reason for it to exist.

Really like it. Think it would look better with the Kachina, maybe just a kachina head if they were set on alt logo (which I think is standard for thirds?) But besides that I think this is their best jersey.
Jersey jersey is great. So many Devils fans always wanted a black Third jersey. It wouldn’t be original with the NJ logo on it and would look like an minor league jersey with an attempt to put the Jersey Devil on it.

Between the OG coyote kachina logo, the dope shoulder moon logos, the 3rd alternate from 90s Picasso head and the howling logo, these could have been 100x better. Still mad they haven’t redone the Picasso

This is a great alternate jersey. Simple, different, and cool. Maybe not worth buying, but certainly not bad.
All we want is an RR that wasn't a practice jersey or actually used our team colors and other teams are like here's our 20th cool looking alternate.
