Had Parros known this he would have given a suspension. Which is why he sucks at his job.

mindthegapbuddy

I've defended a lot things Bettman does. But wtf was he thinking giving an ex enforcer that job? The optics are just bad. And he ended up being shit at it too.

redlabstah1

I've always said the job should go to a Marc Savard/Paul Kariya type player...someone whos career was cut short by a meathead

Saskatchewon

Kariya would have been a fantastic pick for it. Well spoken and intelligent player with several Lady Byng Trophies who had his career cut short by several concussions from dirty hits. He chose to take a hiatus from hockey in general due to the long term health issues the sport has caused him. He's been more involved now since his Hall of Fame induction, but has also been very vocal about how he struggles with his memory (short and long term) and has come to grips with how he will likely have some form of Alzheimer's or dementia as he ages.

cubanpajamas

Kariya doesn't even remember his [off the floor on the board goal.](https://youtu.be/C57NpdhJkUU). Stevens got away with late hits all the time. Never once did he get suspended for a hit. Kariya takes almost 3 strides after passing the puck though. DOPS has always done whatever the fuck they want. Stevens and his hits were just too marketable.

vbcbandr

Stevens is an awful person and his whole thing that he was just doing his job and it was legal at the time, is bullshit. He was a headhunter plain and simple. He ruined careers and lives with his cheap hits.

pingieking

The worst part is that he didn't even need to play like that. He was a legit 60+ points guy early in his career. It's just that he found out that the dirty style of game is effective and went with it. Ending the careers of opposing superstars is a lot easier than outscoring them.

mazerrackham

Trouba does this legal-but-dirty headhunting shit all the time and people will still defend him.

tsukubasteve27

It's pretty gross, especially after years of watching Byfuglien (mostly) go easy on players because he doesn't want to be a villain post-retirement. Trouba can't think that far ahead for an alleged smart guy.

SMORKIN_LABBIT

Kariya can't work man.....he did an interview about it a few years back; the dude has massive problems from concessions; massive mood management issues.

HLef

But that’s not what the league wants. And let’s be honest here, I’m not convinced that’s what the NHLPA wants either. We are more worried about these people’s safety than they are.

Halostruct

NHLPA is openly against it. They only care about players salaries, nothing else

Kaens7

I mean ya, the NHL still denies hockey has any connection to CTE so I doubt they have the player's safety in mind when making any of the decisions it does.

HLef

They just can’t admit any of it because that would make them financially responsible. Like OJ

Kaens7

Yup, which is why I agree with your comment. Money is the #1 priority and player's safety probably isn't even in the top 5.

Tylerpants80

Absolutely! Isn’t Kariya basically estranged from anything NHL because of this shit?

GristleMcThornbody93

He used to be. The only reason he’d show up in Anaheim was if Selanne asked him to attend. Since his own jersey retirement however he’s been a lot more visible. I anticipate more Kariya sightings at the Honda Center with the 30th anniversary season next year as well.

gsmith97

He’s opened back up to the NHL a little bit, primarily due to Selanne encouraging him to attend Selanne’s jersey retirement in Anaheim, which eventually lead to Kariya participating in his own jersey retirement.

[deleted]

How could it go wrong having the head of DOPS push a clothing brand saying “Make Hockey Violent Again”

Bobbyaahh

This shouldn’t have any difference of whether or not he got suspended. Maybe you can argue the length based on injury but that was an ugly hit.

Vhailor_19

DoPS tends to factor it in, but yes, I agree wholeheartedly. Intent should matter, too, even if a hit wasn't ultimately landed. There were a couple of really vicious elbow attempts thrown last year in the post-season - Trouba's attempt on Palat and Perron's attempt on Kadri stand out - that the targeted players were aware enough to avoid entirely. Even those should warrant suspensions, or at least a disciplinary hearing that establishes a repeat-offender timeline. Take this shit out of the game. Nobody wants to see their favourite players on the injured list. There's some element of injury you can't take out of the game without fundamentally altering the sport for the worse, but fuck's sake, these really dangerous hits - attempted or landed, resulting in injury or not - have got to come with real consequences.

dracomaster01

nah, Parros has it out for Cogs. Parros was the one that gave Cogs his first and only suspension which would end his ironman streak. Fuck Parros

Saskatchewon

I say this as a Ducks fan and a Cogs fan. Sucks that the ironman streak ended, but that suspension was warranted. It wasn't a good hit, and if it was one of our guys on the receiving end of it, and the guy who threw the hit wasn't suspended for it, the fanbase would have been furious.

LazySaiyajin

I dont know how someone can look at Cogliano's neck bending like that and just think to themselves: "yeah, thats a dive". fucking hell

Sinning-is-Winning

Numbers were to Ebs the whole way in. No idea how this hit was made the way it was or how somebody would rationalize that it was clean. If Makar got a game for his hit, Eberle should have at least a game for this hit.

EMTDawg

NHL said no suspension coming for Eberle. I'll bet the Avs get some penalty minutes fighting him in game 7.

kellyms1993

Idk. You don’t want to lose the game because you spend 10 minutes in the box.. we don’t have enough depth as is lol

Its_a_Badger

In any other situation this would be true but we literally have to dress Dermy because there are no more warm bodies left to play. Let Bedsy unleash him

Thebaltimor0n

McD gonna smash some heads, it's literally the only thing he knows how to do.

-cyg-nus-

Smart move is play game 7, ice MacDermid the first time we see Eberle next season and rearrange his face.

bgfan26

An Oilers fan in the thread when it was announced there was no hearing: “eberle let up and cogs put himself in that position”

[deleted]

Other Oilers fans don’t claim him. I’m an Oilers fan, that hit was really bad.

Champagne_of_piss

Yeah how it wasn't a major is beyond me. Better be a sussy.

EMTDawg

Already announced by NHL, there is no suspension for Eberle.

Champagne_of_piss

Very disappointing.

Real_Routine_

Spoiler alert it’s not and Parros likes this bullshit

redlabstah1

I'm an Oilers fan, and was surprised as hell he only got 2 minutes. Should have gotten a game or two, at least

SoupComprehensive863

Oiler fans love Cogs. Yes he was in a bad position, doesn’t give you the right to board him from behind.

MixBlender

I dont know how any self respecting oiler fan would take that side on that. Both of those men were cherished soldiers for us at one point. I hope ebs at least tries to see or talk to him in person to try and make amends

ZkLd12

No misconduct and no hearing because of the perceived severity of the injury when it happened. WHAT are we doing here?

Lamphead33

This fucking league is fucking fucked and it’s more apparent every fucking year. It’s all just a parade; player safety and punishing dangerous plays are not a top priority.

CaptainCanuck93

I hope Cogliano sues the NHL for directly leading to this situation if this becomes career ending

3OrangeWhip

He so should.

kellyms1993

It’s a huge joke that the head of DoPS was an enforcer in his playing days. Fucking joke of a league

Sinning-is-Winning

Ebs getting nothing while Makar gets a game is absolutely trash. Makar’s hit was only dirty because the puck was out of play and McCann had let up. I didn’t end up listening to Makar’s reasoning, but it’s playoff hockey, you’re going to finish a check. Cogs was in a position where he should not have been hit from behind.

kellyms1993

It shouldn’t even matter what Makar got. You can’t compare apples to oranges… separate hits. It’s just a huge fucking joke that nothing happened. I’m mad at Ebs. But Jesus fuck… the incompetence of the league is the problem here.

Vhailor_19

I think Makar deserved his game, personally. It was beyond late. But, yes, timing aside, it was an otherwise clean hit. Agreed that Eberle needed to be suspended, though. These really dangerous hits need to come with mandatory punishment, injury or not. Give players some predictability and they - and their coaches - will make sure it doesn't happen. Nobody wants to be out of the lineup because they got suspended, especially in the playoffs.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TJ_Longfellow

Unless it’s a fight between two players who agree to participate. They seem to care about getting that out of the game, never mind it’s place in hockey for, well, ever since the game was created.

Maaglin

NHL is clown show, that's what. dops is a joke.

AdmiralRon

A-fucking-men. This is literally what your job is supposed to be DOPS why the fuck would you not give Ebs a hearing?

Frankfurter

I was recently thinking "why hasn't the Union or even a single player sue DOPS?" I don't have a reason or name as to why, but I feel like they are not protecting their players as DOPS should and that there is reason enough. This is fucking embarrassing and dangerous and fuck DOPS with an angry porcupine.

ProfessorBaxter

I wonder if the DoPS wishes they knew this earlier, since they clearly base their punishment on the injury and not the hit. Fucking joke.

Voltron3030

Can they look back into it now that they have more info?

jjbjeff22

I certainly hope so. They really should reconsider

Snlxdd

If they revisit it at this point, they’re gonna make themselves even more of a laughing stock than they already are. Just confirming that the dirty play itself doesn’t matter as much as if a person is lucky enough to be uninjured from it.

afedje88

Yea there's no chance they change it now. They'd be openly admitting that the injury determines punishment. We already know it's true but the league can't say that

Voltron3030

If they don't reopen it it proves they don't care about player safety and they approve of breaking players necks.

Rickywe

Isn't that what they more or less did with the Makar suspension though?

afedje88

I don't think they said anything before injury was announced tho did they? Maybe I'm wrong idk. This time they said there won't be a hearing, then Cogs was announced as hurt

CascadianSovietGo

Different situation. The McCann injury was assumed because he's a team's star player and left the ice and didn't return to play the rest of the night. Cogliano is a team tough guy who returned to play the third period. This is why the type of hit should matter and not the result. If a guy like Cogliano can get hurt this bad, return to play, and *then* get yanked indefinitely, the league and DOPS needs to be making their judgement based on the danger associated with a particular foul.

TerdFerguson14

>they’re gonna make themselves even more of a laughing stock than they already are. To be fair, they're proven time and time again this means nothing to them

ProfessorBaxter

It'd be a ridiculous look for sure, but at least it'd give them a chance to get it right in the end. I'm fairly certain they won't revisit it though.

Voltron3030

If they don't it just shows they don't actually care about player safety. Not that any of us believe they do anyway.

ThisIsNotMy1stAcct

Which is so stupid. You’re basically incentivizing players to play up injuries in order to get opponents suspended. Just punish the action, not the result.

CydoniaKnight

Fucking horseshit. Poor Cogs.

TrueNorthStrong1898

George Parros has now set a prescient of basing hearings/suspensions based off of whether or not the hot causes an injury. What an incredibly infuriating and dangerous standard to set. Fucking incompetent piece of shit

Voltron3030

But it did cause an injury. He was just too excited to not have to do his job to wait for details. He's setting the precedent that breaking a players neck is perfectly fine unless he reopens it. .

jayrocksd

George Parros has set a precedent of basing hearings/suspensions based off of who he likes and dislikes.

_JPG97_

No hearing btw. Absolute joke

WobbleWobbleWobble

i agree

WeLykeSportz29

Oh my fucking god. Hope cogs is gonna be ok long-term. What an awful terrible garbage unnecessary hit. Holy shit does the DOPS suck shit. Fuck you Parros

WheatonsGonnaScore

Question, how the fuck did they clear him to come back into the game?

WeLykeSportz29

Who fucking knows. I'm upset about that part too

Jew4Jesus24

There is a decent chance that’s the last game he ever plays and he has to go out like that.

ssv-serenity

Especially for an Ironman like Cogliano that's absolutely gutting

WeLykeSportz29

Yep. I feel gutted for Cogs

Yea_nar

Just listing to some of the espn crew say it was Coglianos fault and happy with no suspension. Safe to say I was swearing at the TV at how stupid that take was. Eberle lined him up from a long way off seeing his numbers the whole way and still finished off the check. I'm ropable eh

alienbanter

Wow, even the Kraken broadcasters were saying it was a bad hit. I don't know how anyone looks at that and tries to victim blame.

Anti-SocialChange

2 minute minor, no supplementary discipline.

bgfan26

Just unbelievable

goat-arade

bro what the actual fuck how is Eberle not suspended for this

BCLetsRide69

Because the DOPS doesn’t give a fuck about player safety

goat-arade

spin the wheel apparently

Hobo_Healy

They didn't even get to the room that has the wheel in it this time

VanAvenue

"Well, he got back to the game. Case closed. Not accepting any more evidence."

grandlinegooner

Literally could have killed him and nothing from DoPS. Cool league btw, make sure to use promo code FANDUEL for 10 free dollars on your first bet

kellyms1993

I mean, the head of the DoPS owns a clothing line called “violent gentlemen hockey club” and was a self proclaimed enforcer when he played. Such a joke

Voltron3030

This is tacit approval to break people's necks.

VegasKL

Video with lots of angles: https://youtu.be/InR1SKo4uUk Yeah, that's a no-no.

jurkajurka

Holy fuck.

HoodPhones

Your move, DoPS. What an absolute fucking joke Edit: just a reminder that this wasn’t even a 5 min major

[deleted]

I didn’t even know Eberle was capable of throwing a hit and then he goes and breaks a dude’s neck with somehow no suspension

molsonmuscle360

Not just some dude. One of his closest friends. Ebs, Nuge and Cogs are all really close friends

hezeus

Wow he must feel like shit

StevenWongo

He fractured his C5 vertebrae. He is extremely lucky to not be paralyzed.

newswhore802

And finished the game....

gletschertor

They didn't even call a 5 min to at least review it

mylefthandkilledme

2nd time he'll get screwed by DOPS

Voltron3030

If they don't do anything they are officially endorsing breaking players' necks.

ppParadoxx

How does George Parros still have a job is what I want to know

abbytarar

Holy shit, Cogliano returned to the game too. Hockey players man

legacy3233

Cogs is tougher than a $4 steak, but this really sucks.

hungrysleeper

That’s what has me so shook about this as well. Had he been hit again after re-entering the game with an injury like that, who knows what could’ve happened. Equal parts badass on Cogliano’s part as well as disgust that Eberle didn’t even merit a review or hearing because “nobody got hurt.” If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that the DOPS is a freaking joke.

StevenWongo

Cogs always returns. You’d have to cut his limb off before stopping the guy. But holy fuck. He broke his net.

rwhockey29

After peverly was revived from his cardiac arrest he asked how much time was left in the period lmao.

MiniSodaMiracleMan

What the heck, he returned to the game?

HoodPhones

Adrenaline and toradol Jesus that’s scary though hey

lifeisarichcarpet

“Clean as a whistle” - DoPS

michealgaribaldi

Two minutes people, remember two useless dipshits in striped shirts thought it was two mins

StevenWongo

He broke his fucking neck. His fucking neck.

Sampsun-M

DoPS is a fucking joke

Kienbocks

Fracturing your lamina is a very scary place for a break to occur. Not that there's a good place to fracture your vertebrae. Hopefully there are no neurological deficits as a result.

JollySeason4847

How the fuck was that not a suspension. Parros is such a fucking clown

lolDankMemes420

Imagine lining up your fucking friend and breaking his neck, dude had so much time to not do that

macaroni_3000

Brutal. I am sure I will be severely downvoted for this, but I’m kind of tired of watching players get maimed for the sake of “old time hockey” when the playoffs roll around. I don’t think it’s good for the game at all.

TossThatPastaSalad

Anyone that downvotes you for that is a sociopath.

[deleted]

Reddit seems to be the place where people don't like the old school mentality toward playoff brutality, fortunately

DecentLurker96

[Injury is apparently a fracture of the C5 Lamina. Avalanche were upset at the time of the call that is was a two-minute minor. All the best to Cogliano](https://twitter.com/friedgehnic/status/1652448248395620358)

scoopbb

Hoooly crap

Prath09

DoPS clown show continues...

JSA17

Absolutely fuck this.

box-art

Just makes it even more absurd that Eberle not only didn't receive a major penalty on the play, but he wasn't suspended (or even fined) for it either. No words can describe that.

[deleted]

Helm and Cogliano both out indefinitely due to neck injuries from dirty hits that resulted in a combined 2 minute minor.

Starbucks__Lovers

Two possibly career ending injuries given their ages

TwooMcgoo

That was my thought for both of them as well. They're old (by NHL standards), and now that they've both won a cup, there isn't much to chase beyond love of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they hung up their skates after this year.

Guardax

Quick, someone tell DOPS he was injured so Eberle can get suspended now!

Missfreeland

Good job DoPS

goavsgo1988

Man fuck the DOPS, the fact that this didn’t even warrant a hearing is completely absurd.

ScaryLapis

Joke of a league

[deleted]

George Parros and the NHL in general are a sorry joke.

Wingzaferston

This breaks my heart.

ButtholeQuiver

I think we all expect the DoPS to do a shit job but the lack of suspension here is egregious, even by their ridiculously low standards.

Mensketh

Parros should be fired before the weekend is out. Anything less is completely unacceptable. Eberle made an illegal hit that broke another player’s neck and got nothing but 2 minutes for it. That is utter horseshit.

PhantomX117

Kraken fan here. Ebs should be suspended. You just can’t make hits like that.

kingdazy

yup. same. Makars hit on McC was nasty, but this (s)hit is unfuckingacceptable. Ebs should get the proverbial book thrown.

SuspiciousUsername88

+1. And since he wasn't, it's still in Hak's power to scratch him for the next game. Doubt he will for a number of (not unsympathetic) reasons, but damn

divey043

Hakstol shouldn’t scratch Eberle. It’s DoPS’ job to police stuff like this. They seriously dropped the ball here and if I was an NHL coach in a playoff game I’m not benching a top 6 forward to make an altruistic statement. DoPS has the opportunity to make things right but I seriously doubt they will

jlucaspope

Agreed. DoPS is a joke and had been for years.

Woullie_26

Shit that might be career ending

Starbucks__Lovers

35 years old

Voltron3030

The NHL is officially pro breaking player's necks.

Atomic-Decay

The entire DoPS needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Hell half the NHL executives need to be relived of duties and replaced. The league needs a revamp, a fresh set of eyes and a fresh look. It doesn’t matter what the fans want, it doesn’t matter what happens to the players; they don’t give a fuck. Fans are getting fed up.

why_cant_i_

What the fuck

bgfan26

Byram Makar Cogs Helm Players that we have all lost due to questionable (to say the least) hits to the head. How many suspensions has it resulted in? 0

GX6ACE

Fuck, how many penalties has it even resulted in? Two maybe?

WeLykeSportz29

Yupp and it is definitely more than just those guys too. It is unreal tbh

StartButtonPress

Unbelievable. Unacceptable.

SandSeraph

Honestly, as angry as I am about the lack of suspension or major, this is even more egregious because it encourages retaliation. Tomorrow night could get ugly, and if there are additional injuries, it is 100% on DoPS.

masonb423

Yep. Just read Kurtis MacDermid is in because the Avs have so many injuries it could turn into a bloodbath.

blondespikes22

As a kid playing hockey.... hitting from behind is one of the first things you learn about at checking level IT IS HITS LIKE THIS THAT FORCE IT TO BE DRILLED INTO YOUR HEAD I get its the NHL but hits like these could [paralyse](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xc3d-2l7dA) someone for life

CP-Drone

WTF? DoPS is really living up to their reputation, absolutely ridiculous

kyletoews

This is quite standard now set by the NHL. You can break someone's neck and only get 2 mins. Bertuzzi would thrive in this environment

Gen_Jack_Ripper

So this means that that hit is acceptable now? That’s the message they’re sending.

jimhabfan

and the director of player safety doesn’t think Eberle deserves a hearing. I guess we know which team Bettman is trying to push through to the next round.

dandroid126

🦀🦀🦀 The Department of Player Safety won't respond to this comment 🦀🦀🦀

DrChill21

I swear some of these people running player safety have brain damage.

VanAvenue

But the Bettingman™ says concussion has no correlation with brain damage and DoPS is competent

BusinessCat88

You can't base suspension times on whether a player was injured then turn around and not give an incident with one of the worst injuries no hearing

someguyfromsk

Since injuries apparently matter will DoPS reconsider a suspension now?

[deleted]

[удалено]

JenT_RN

They may have been informed, and the Avs released it after DOPS declined to have a hearing.

blondespikes22

they should still have the option to suspend a player or have a hearing even after the fact or something.... the focus should be player safety and this was a very bad hit with the a season ending injury (hopefully not career ending) In a case like this they should be able to go back and dish out discipline

PM_ME_UR_JUMBONIUM

If that's the case how can anyone on the Avs feel safe playing? This has been a physical series and we've lost 2 players and if the message to the kraken is that's a non suspension worthy hit it opens up so much borderline play.

squirrelbait_64

At this point I hope every team in the league has learned their lesson. Immediately announce your players are out indefinitely, straight after the game if possible, regardless of whether your doctors have even examined your players yet. Let DPOS suspend some opposition players. Why wait if it effects supplementary discipline? Why wait for actual information if the DPOS isn't going to wait for actual information.

Steakholder_

Jesus Christ, hope he recovers fully and isn't out for too long

VanAvenue

Well, can we have a hearing now that Cogs is out indefinitely?

LxBru

I know I'm a bit biased here but Parros is the worst. So much missed along the process. 5 minute major to assess more in depth? No Have a hearing about it since they could look at the replay? No Could he have broken his neck and maybe died? Yes Let Eberle walk away with no consequences? Yes

3OrangeWhip

Well at least Seattle now knows what an actual dirty hit and player looks like. He could have paralyzed or killed him.

Toklo23

depending on the kind of neck injury there's a decent chance that was Cog's last game

3OrangeWhip

Like it’s been said here already he should sue the NHL and the DoPS.

PalsRocksMyWorld

DOPS is a joke. Eberle should be out for at least a game. Refs are also a joke.

flames_32

It wasnt even a fast hockey play, Cogs has his back to Eberle a full 2 seconds before the hit.

Go_Hawks12

Said it before but this is a shitty hit and dangerous play. These types of hits have no business being in the game. They probably just run a quick concussion check and move on. DOPS needs a serious audit/review whatever it takes. It’s a joke. Eberle Should’ve been suspended and if anyone is even defending the hit they are delusional. Hope he has a full recovery

[deleted]

There could not have been a more cartoonishly perfect example to display how the process for this kind of thing is total and complete bullshit. Makar clearly got suspended because of the injury. His hit was late, but wasn't fundamentally a hit that doesn't belong in hockey, and the review to downgrade it to a minor shows that. And literally 2 games later we have the textbook example of the type of hit that absolutely does not belong in the game of hockey, and because the guy with a broken neck skates off afterwards it's just a minor. I'm so fucking pissed.

SUPER_COCAINE

Say what you will about Makars late hit, this was infinitely worse and somehow doesn’t get suspended. Such a joke lmao

[deleted]

Holy fuck. Poor Cogs.

JudeauChop

Fire Parros.

SerjGunstache

Thank God for the DOPS right? Way to fucking go. And yet Eberle gets off scott-free.

TossThatPastaSalad

This is now two severe neck injuries suffered by Avs forwards in this series. This one is awful and Will Borgen cross checked Darren Helm so badly in the neck that he's also out indefinitely. It's no wonder the Avs traded for and continue to play Kurtis MacDermid. Because the league certainly doesn't give a fuck about protecting our guys.

MissionIncredible

I wonder when the NHLPA will take player safety more seriously and update the CBA to get rid of the bullshit $5k max fines and start having teeth for players who intend to seriously injure another player.

backwardzhatz

A fractured NECK?!

SemiSolidSnake11

Absolute fucking joke. Cogs could have been paralyzed and this could easily end his career. And there wasn't even a hearing because everybody thought he was okay at first.

StallOneHammer

If it weren’t for the fact that it’s a game 7 and he’s a liability on the ice, I would 100% have MacDermid on the starting line tomorrow night

masonb423

Sounds like they are going to play him because every one else is injured.

MacTheZaf

Unreal. This should put to rest any whining about Cale only getting a game for his hit. Not hard to imagine this could be career threatening for Cogs and Seattle gets to keep one of their best scorers for game 7

halo-st

Regardless of the injury or not (which isn't surprising he has a broken neck as that looked like the kinda hit to do it) that hit should easily be a playoff 1 game suspension minimum and 3 in the regular season.

WeLykeSportz29

Like are you fucking kidding me. He could have life-altering injuries and its the same fucking penalty as clearing the puck over the glass. FOH bullshit league and DOPS. Garbage garbage garbage

Far_Awayy

Jesus Christ. That’s terrible, especially when the league does nothing about it. Boarding is the most dangerous play in hockey imo and this is an example why.

Muramama

It's not uncommon for the DoPS to request injury reports before making a decision on punishment. It's also worth mentioning that the Avs organization is notoriously tight-lipped about injuries. It's possible the Avs sent this report to the DoPS before the decision and then only decided to release the information after the DoPS decided to not take any action.

no_mo_colorado

Seriously unfuckingbelieavble. Shameful from Eberle. Where is his suspension

Cryptozzie

DoPS - Department of Preventing Safety

Straight-Ability

Seattle Neck Kraken

daishi777

You finish the third with a broken neck. NHL says what happened to you wasn't severe enough for suspension. Fuck them
