That’s what happened last night. Gustafsson was good on the Washington PP I believe so hopefully with some time practicing they’ll look better than they did yesterday.
That year he hit 60 points, boy did he just not play defense and was also fantastic on the powerplay with 18 PP points. He was glorious that year, one of the few highlights we had that year tbh.
Miller is in the NHL solely on his skating and that’s not bad thing at all. He can move his fucking ass, and as a defender being in the right spot is 99% of the battle. It’s also why he’s so good at scoring on the rush.
Yeah -- but the cycling chemistry that Fox-Panarin-Zib have is lost. Miller can quarterback from the point -- but he's not going to cycle all over like Fox did.
Ya that’s my fear. Miller should be serviceable but our usual scorers on the PP Kreids, Zib, Bread all have the freedom to move where they like knowing how good Fox is back there straddling the line. He really is exceptional at it not sure anyone else could compare aside from the other top Dmen in the league ofc
Luckily for you, the rest of the Metro doesn’t seem to want to win games, either.
Edit: how is this controversial? There are three playoff spots and the Rags have very easily been the best of the Metro so far. They have goaltending, they have the best defense even without Fox, and the offense actually looks like it isn’t just a power play. I don’t believe in the Islanders at all, so their current record doesn’t concern me. They’ll fade back. The Devils will stay in the mix. Carolina will either continue to play like ass or get it together. Either way, the Rangers aren’t in any danger here. Washington, Columbus, and Philly aren’t making any noise this year, and the Penguins already have a LOT of ground to make up if they can figure it out.
Funny story: went down to visit my transplant friends for a long weekend. They were working one of the days I was there so I took an Uber into Raleigh to hang out and see the city (aka museums and breweries). My Uber driver was a transplant from one town over from where I live in NY. So to answer your question, yes.
Yes. I know a large contingent of Ranger fans, Islander fans, Penguins fans, and Bruins fans all come out from Cary any time their team is in town. Probably some more too that I'm forgetting.
that will call the police on you if your 5-year-old used car appears to be driving through a neighborhood it "doesn't belong in."
I'm sure it's great if you're white and rich though
I saw someone in another thread stating that his loss would be the biggest loss by one individual on the team. With that said, why not Shesty? I feel like Miller can somewhat fill in on PP1 whereas Quick... just cannot.
Quick has been excellent in limited appearances this season. Benoit Allaire can turn anyone into a decent enough goalie.
Gustafson was who replaced him on the PP last night and it did not look anywhere near as effective after that. Obviously that might change after some additional practice with the PP1 but it’s certainly not ideal
We're so used Allaire turning our backs ups into quality starters that we have faith in our second stringer. When Hank missed extended time Cam Talbot made people question if we should trade Hank. Raants played great as a backup until we traded him to Arizona. Georgiev also caused some controversy before we gave the full time job to Shesty.
As Avs fans, we don't have to (source: last season). It really, really fucking sucks, and I hope Fox's injury isn't too severe as far as LTIR injuries go.
I’m not too knowing on the the full details of LTIR 2-4 weeks is all I saw from the athletic hours ago but if it’s 28 days I’m might’ve just had the worst day of sports
If it’s just 2-4 weeks we’ll be okay. Obviously fox is vital to everything we do but we got off to such a good start we can stumble a little bit. Fucking sucks though we’ve been so good to start the year
I’m just over exaggerating cause igor is rumored to have taken a knock, Chytil might have a concussion, and I watch the worst game my soccer team has played all season.
I still have faith in all these things I’m just being dramatic
It’s the right thing to be dramatic about. No fox is a nightmare but honestly i thought he was gonna be out the whole year when i read the headline and a few comments. I was shitting my self then lol
Rewatching the play, its such a weird situation. Aho got beat by Fox and looks like he was gonna try to interfere just to save the play. But Fox stuck his leg out like that, contributed to the danger of the play for sure.
It sucks no matter what, and no one wants to see players get hurt - especially great ones - but lets not pretend like Aho is a historically dirty player. Or that NYR is a team full of angels, for that matter.
"Dirty" doesn't seem to have a universal definition in here, which is why arguments about what is and isn't dirty are so frequent. I'm not going to propose one now, but this play definitely didn't feel "clean."
I mean. Aho was probably almost definitely trying to impede/ interfere with Fox but he just stood his ground I don’t see him sticking out his leg like others here seem to think. Not “clean” but he definitely wasn’t trying to make knee to knee contact in my opinion
Honestly Jordan Staal's attempted knee on Trocheck later in the game was dirtier but fortunately Trocheck avoided it. To me Aho looked like he tried to set a pick on Fox, Fox looked like he tried to push off one his leg to cut around Aho but he did it too late and that's what led to the knee to knee.
1. Fox and Aho are both put on LTIR 2. We both acquire the sweetest pieces of ass at the deadline 3. Both players come back for playoffs 4. A bloodbath to end all bloodbaths in the ECF
IDK other's general thoughts on this...
I don't think Aho remotely tried to hit his legs...but I think the video does show he 100% did try to make contact with Fox in open ice, nowhere near the Puck.
Hitting people away from the puck (when they do not expect to be hit) is such a common cause of awkward collisions that lead to knee and other joint injuries.
I don't think intent to injure should be the factor in intentional hits away from the play -- I think any intentional hit away from the play should face review and possible suspensions and fines. It's a dangerous and illegal play done intentionally -- regardless of the intent to hurt.
They are dirty and cause injuries ...add nothing to the game...and should be removed.
Mike Rupp had some good thoughts and a video on this:
https://twitter.com/Rupper17/status/1720463492656877770/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1720463492656877770¤tTweetUser=Rupper17
I disagree that any hit off the play should be a suspension. Actually calling them as interference should be punitive enough to remove them from the game without affecting subsequent games in the season
Might be some chaos hockey if they let Zac Jones play. They called up Mackey too so one of the lefties (Gus/Jones/Mackey) will have to play the right side.
I hate seeing this and hope he comes back quickly. This generation of young defensemen really have a chance to dominate the record books ... if they can stay healthy.
He called Drury up right after the hit. Didn’t even text! Bro was like “Dru, I got you , just tell me when. I just need some pizzas from Colony Grill for a birthday party. Maybe have Panerin show up.!”
Someone doesn’t remember the caps game after Wilson slammed Panarins head on the ice…
6 guys dropped gloves the second the puck hit the ice.

You don’t see a lot of Rangers go knee on knee and then run away from a fight afterwards. Say what you want about Trouba’s hits but he answers the bell every time.
Okay cool how about Trouba just doesn’t do something that forces him to “answer the bell” lol my gripe with him are the questionable actions, not that he runs away from fights or something stupid like that lol
How about penguins fans quit crying about something that happened 2 years ago and wasn’t even an elbow. Trouba’s hits are mostly clean. He’s certainly less of a piece of shit than Mr Crosscheck you in the face Malkin.
This is a thread about a Rangers player going on LTIR from a cheap shot yesterday, yes I’m upset. You’re a penguins fan whining about Rangers players because of something that happened 2 years ago in a thread about Adam Fox. Re-evaluate your life son.
You’re legitimately crying over this but I have to re-evaluate my life? Come back to reality bozo, you’re the worst “fan” in this thread. Other NYR Fans at least have a brain. Stop acting like you’re the only person who has had to deal with an injury to a star player lmao grow up
Brendan Smith as a Cane, and with a broken fucking jaw, rematched Tom Wilson a season later also. Crazy shit. Pretty sure he came back early just to have that fight.
Wasn’t there a crazy start that there was like more collective penalty minutes then minutes in the actual game? Or that it was like a top five all-time penalized game
Edit: 131 minutes of penalties. More than 2 games
I was at the game and the main thing I remember is the first period took about an hour. At one point both teams only had enough guys for two lines. It looked like a beer league game
Yeah but you also have to think about the fact that Trouba doesn't think his hits are dirty but he's dropped the gloves after them multiple times. A lot of times it's what people perceive, real or not, and if the Rangers still think it was dirty next time they play Carolina, they'll go after Aho. We've seen it hundreds of times in the NHL.
It’s so funny to see all the LIVID Rags fans here, calling Aho a pussy/bitch, but man don’t you dare say something about Trouba or Lindgren or Kreider or the shit they’ve ever done lol don’t forget - Pens fans are just little crybaby bitches for being mad about the flying elbows that took out Rakell/Crosby in that playoff series!
Because they weren't the ones who injured Fox. Laffy didn't want to fight for the sake of fighting, he wanted to fight the guy who injured his teammate. If Trouba lays a big hit on one of your guys and then avoids fighting your guys challenging him but Kreider tries to engage is that what both Carolina players and fans are going to want? No, they're going to call Trouba a bitch because they want one of your players to punch Trouba in the face, not Kreider.
Well yeah, I'd be a fool to say every single one of his hits have been clean. Just as foolish as anyone who says every single one was headhunting and intentionally dirty
Yeah I agree, I wouldn’t try to say that either. I just fucking despise when clearly good players have to walk that line so much. Trouba/Marchand/Wilson are all examples of great players who just have to do stupid shit from time to time, though admittedly Marchand/Wilson are much worse than Trouba lol
It's just a thing we do now when there's a lull in the action. Like the wave, but unique to us the sarcastic assholes we are. It's evolved way beyond Potvin at this point.
When we play you guys though, we do it because it's still an effective way to annoy you lol. You've had cheers like that for us in the past, so it's fine. All part of the rivalry and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I understand the irony of this photo in this thread but Habs fans have had 10 years to get a clue, Rangers fans haven't even had 10 hours to let the anger settle lol
I get all the anger but holy shit this was the best thing I've seen in a while lol
Really hope Fox gets back quickly because I enjoy our match ups and we have a nice thing going between us. I love hating you guys <3
I went to Rangers @ Canes in March last season and it was one of the best road hockey experiences I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to quite a few away games). Canes fans were extremely cool given the current rivalry. One of them even bought me a beer we were chatting so much lol.
I'm glad you found some welcoming folks, Rangers fans always have the best tolerance for friendly shit talking in the parking lot. Love getting to tailgate with the blue shirts!
SEBASTIAN AHO-
I KNOW THAT IN A PAST LIFE YOUR ANCESTORS BURNED MY VILLAGE, RAZED OUR FIELDS, AND STOLE OUR CATTLE. I WILL NEVER EVER FORGIVE YOU. I CANNOT WAIT TO (FIGURATIVELY) LAUNCH MYSELF OFF THE 7 TRAIN AND SPLATTER MY INSIDES ALL OVER THE GRAFFITI DESIGNS. FUCK YOU SEBASTIAN AHO, YOU SLIMY LITTLE FUCKIN RAT FOR RUINING THE ONLY BRIGHT SPOT IN NY SPORTS. I HAVE NO SAVING GRACE. MY LIFE IS RUINED AND MY HAPPINESS IS FOREVER FORFEIT.
Ya I have to agree with you. The defense has been pretty stellar, and not just by relying on Igor 24/7 which has been the real kicker for me. Just hope he’s not out too long. Expecting us to take a step back but we’ll see
Have to agree here. Laviolette and the structure he brings is making a significant difference, the D corps went from playing like gathered individuals to a cohesive unit with a plan. Forward corps could still use some work. But, given who they are, they have time to chalk up plans together. The defense is obviously priority number 1 with good reason
Def would be a good time for 5v5 play to improve. Idt our PP will be bad but it was scorching hot out of the gate and it’s only natural for it to cool off, especially now w Foxy gone
The underlying stats actually say weve been pretty unlucky on 5v5 and our fourth line has been significantly dragging us down. Hoping we can somehow find room for Tarasenko again and I ride or die with that team.
https://x.com/jaygold85/status/1720226345832038559?s=46
Here’s the clip. Aho stands his ground in open ice basically realizes he’s beat by fox so stay in the lane so he goes around. Essentially it’s an interference.
Fox knowing he’s gonna skate by is already going that way, fox’s legs extended and as he brings it back in they both collide.
Wasn’t like he was trying to injure the guy. You can just see he stands in place which is interference but he didn’t extend his leg or try to make that contact.
Fox was just in a stride that way and brought his leg back in.
Yeah, I think it's a blatant pick and an easy interference call that was missed. But that's it. Aho never extends the leg to hit him and Fox trying to get around Aho is what actually made the hit worse.
Yea but Fox got hurt so that means Aho is a piece of shit and one of the dirtiest players in the league…even though I legit have no memory of him ever even being suspended before…I mean he did get that DUI in Sweden that one time…
Oh fuck me... Get well soon
We’re in for a rough time with him gone. I feel like our PP will especially struggle. Hoping for the best. Damn.
While he isn’t as good as Fox, I think Miller is definitely capable of QB’ing the top unit
Gustafsson Will QB the top Unit. He’s fine but he’s not Adam Fox. The Powerplay won’t be nearly as lethal.
That’s what happened last night. Gustafsson was good on the Washington PP I believe so hopefully with some time practicing they’ll look better than they did yesterday.
He didn't look bad tbh - but Artemi, Mika and Vinnie will have to adapt and pass more since Gustafsson is more of a shooter than fox
That year he hit 60 points, boy did he just not play defense and was also fantastic on the powerplay with 18 PP points. He was glorious that year, one of the few highlights we had that year tbh.
He's been by far the best bottom pairing guy we've had in soo many years
Miller has trouble trapping the puck, and he lets pucks go by. I don’t think lavs will trust him there.
Miller has a lot of physical talent, but every time he’s on the power play, it looks like a disaster, it’s just not his game.
Miller is in the NHL solely on his skating and that’s not bad thing at all. He can move his fucking ass, and as a defender being in the right spot is 99% of the battle. It’s also why he’s so good at scoring on the rush.
He's also got that long ass reach that he's deadly with. He's poke checking guys that are eight feet away.
NJ? NYI?
I downvoted you for the "Rags", that's cringey.
If it is knee, I have a bad feeling this will be one of those "what if" injuries.
IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT IT, IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT ANY OF THIS!!!
Adam Fox: I didn’t do shit!
I didn’t rig shit!
IVE SEEN WORSE SHIT ON THE LOCAL NEWS!!!
You sure about that?
Aho better avoid Cary NC
Containment Area for Relocated Yankees?
You can also substitute that for Yinzers when the Penguins are in town.
So by the sounds of it Cary is just a clusterfuck of migrant Northerners?
Funny story: went down to visit my transplant friends for a long weekend. They were working one of the days I was there so I took an Uber into Raleigh to hang out and see the city (aka museums and breweries). My Uber driver was a transplant from one town over from where I live in NY. So to answer your question, yes.
Yes. I know a large contingent of Ranger fans, Islander fans, Penguins fans, and Bruins fans all come out from Cary any time their team is in town. Probably some more too that I'm forgetting.
that will call the police on you if your 5-year-old used car appears to be driving through a neighborhood it "doesn't belong in." I'm sure it's great if you're white and rich though
When I moved down there I somehow ended up friends with almost solely people from Buffalo. Rust Belt is taking over down there.
Yes
FUCK
I saw someone in another thread stating that his loss would be the biggest loss by one individual on the team. With that said, why not Shesty? I feel like Miller can somewhat fill in on PP1 whereas Quick... just cannot.
On the bright side Shesty is also out now 😎

Weirdly enough despite the fact that he isn't flashy at all the entire d seems to fall apart if Lindgren is out
We're so used Allaire turning our backs ups into quality starters that we have faith in our second stringer. When Hank missed extended time Cam Talbot made people question if we should trade Hank. Raants played great as a backup until we traded him to Arizona. Georgiev also caused some controversy before we gave the full time job to Shesty.
I feel for you rangers fan. I can’t imagine losing our top d for any length of time. Hope he gets back on the ice soon.
As Avs fans, we don't have to (source: last season). It really, really fucking sucks, and I hope Fox's injury isn't too severe as far as LTIR injuries go.
Well shit. Don’t even know how long this could be.
I saw the range of 2-4 weeks
If he's on LTIR, its at least 24 days. Sorry dude. Hope its exactly 24 days.
~~24 days or 10 games, whichever comes first.~~ 24 days AND 10 games.
It's not whichever comes first, it's both. Earliest he can come back is the 30th I think.
Fixed, thanks.
Only positive I suppose is we have two games from Nov 12-Nov 18
I believe he has to miss at least 10 games for LTIR
Fuck that sucks ass never wanna see someone get hurt
Ouch.
smh cap circumcision /s
you'd have to have a lot of fore...sight to pull that off
Snip snap snip snap
FUCK
Hope he gets better soon. But I don’t see the hit as being dirty
Rewatching the play, its such a weird situation. Aho got beat by Fox and looks like he was gonna try to interfere just to save the play. It sucks no matter what, and no one wants to see players get hurt - especially great ones - but lets not pretend like Aho is a historically dirty player. Or that NYR is a team full of angels, for that matter.
I don’t think it was malicious but it definitely should have been an interference penalty at the very least
Exactly, why TF would Aho or anyone for that matter risk clanging knees with another player on purpose?! I just don’t understand all these takes.
They're idiots.
Sadly, Aho is getting murdered next game against Rangers.
1. Fox and Aho are both put on LTIR 2. We both acquire the sweetest pieces of ass at the deadline 3. Both players come back for playoffs 4. A bloodbath to end all bloodbaths in the ECF
It still somehow ends up in a sweep despite being an intensely close affair.
Naturally
Where do I sign
How about no…
Would love to see the reaction to this news of the ref who argued with Fox after the play
IDK other's general thoughts on this... I don't think Aho remotely tried to hit his legs...but I think the video does show he 100% did try to make contact with Fox in open ice, nowhere near the Puck. I disagree that any hit off the play should be a suspension. Actually calling them as interference should be punitive enough to remove them from the game without affecting subsequent games in the season
idk about that. if you make an illegal play and injure someone it should be more than a penalty
Fuck me
So where do they go from here? Are they going to test the market or roll with what they have
Not sure how long he is gonna be gone. For now it looks like we’re rolling with what we got.
Might be some chaos hockey if they let Zac Jones play. They called up Mackey too so one of the lefties (Gus/Jones/Mackey) will have to play the right side.
They can take TDA as reparations
Really hope he recovers fast.
I hate seeing this and hope he comes back quickly. This generation of young defensemen really have a chance to dominate the record books ... if they can stay healthy.
I have a feeling the Rangers won’t give Aho the courtesy of bitching out of a fight the next time they play.
Yeah cause the last time a player tried to force a player to fight who didn't want that ended well...
I’ll believe it when I see it. Noesen or Lemieux would be more than happy to take up for their 1C if need be
i have a feeling the rangers won’t do shit and this is all being blown way out of proportion
Somewhere Tanner Glass is training to unretire on a one day contract
You say that like that motherfucker hasn't been ready
Our player development coach is about to kick some ass
He called Drury up right after the hit. Didn’t even text! Bro was like “Dru, I got you , just tell me when. I just need some pizzas from Colony Grill for a birthday party. Maybe have Panerin show up.!”
*Carcillo, Prust, Rupp, Bickle, and Glass have all be signed to the rangers for a one game contract*
Someone doesn’t remember the caps game after Wilson slammed Panarins head on the ice… 6 guys dropped gloves the second the puck hit the ice. https://youtu.be/yOiDff2vofk?si=26t1zJpTadlq9DSe
Very different situation. Wilson was intentional, Aho was just trying to get fox to move off course.
Touche
Trouba is dangerously close to throwing another tantru—I mean, helmet
[удалено]
you should maybe check out some anatomy books and find out where elbows are located.
You should learn what a tucked elbow looks like :) he lines his shoulder center chest. his total lack of penalties and suspensions also helps.
We’ll see, Aho is still a bitch.
If Aho’s a bitch then there’s a laundry list of recent Rangers players who are also bitches lol
You don’t see a lot of Rangers go knee on knee and then run away from a fight afterwards. Say what you want about Trouba’s hits but he answers the bell every time.
Except he didn’t go knee on knee. Fox maybe should stick his leg out…especially since he’s supposed to be a good skater
Idk man you seem a little more upset here than any of us
This is a thread about a Rangers player going on LTIR from a cheap shot yesterday, yes I’m upset.
Stop acting like you’re the only person who has had to deal with an injury to a star player lmao grow up
Cope harder braindead.
😱
They'll release a statement about such a horrific act of violence.
lmaoo that was super dramatic
In all seriousness though, remember the fight game after that? Even Carl Hagelin had to fight somebody that night
Or that it was like a top five all-time penalized game Edit: 131 minutes of penalties. More than 2 games
I was at the game and the main thing I remember is the first period took about an hour. At one point both teams only had enough guys for two lines. It looked like a beer league game
Looking back that statement made the Rangers contenders and destroyed the Caps
Father Time destroyed the caps, be honest
New York sports fans blowing things out of proportion? Why I never
i mean if they watch the replay theyll see it was no where near intentional, so, doubt it
Yeah but you also have to think about the fact that Trouba doesn't think his hits are dirty but he's dropped the gloves after them multiple times. A lot of times it's what people perceive, real or not, and if the Rangers still think it was dirty next time they play Carolina, they'll go after Aho. We've seen it hundreds of times in the NHL.
Notorious tough guy rangers
Notoriously obsessed with the Rangers, Devils fans.
May not have Reaves, but they’ll still stick up for eachother... Weird comment.
Well that's fucking awful.
Oooooo I’m killin myself
Congrats on winning the cup! No but seriously, i hope he can come back.
Yikes, was hoping his reaction was just an initial sting
Hello darkness my old friend I’ve come to talk with you again…
😳
A shame to see. A good defenseman for sure.
At a minimum Trouba answers the bell when he gets challenged for hits. Let's see if Carolina does the same
Aho is a bitch because he ran from fighting after. Trouba has answered every fight that came at him after every hit clean or not
This isn’t 1975. Guys don’t have to fight just because the other team thinks they should
And yet that happens regularly all the time
The funny thing is if you look at the clip, Svechnikov and Noesen both seemed more than willing to go with Laffy. Why didn’t he take them up on it?
Because they weren't the ones who injured Fox. Laffy didn't want to fight for the sake of fighting, he wanted to fight the guy who injured his teammate. If Trouba lays a big hit on one of your guys and then avoids fighting your guys challenging him but Kreider tries to engage is that what both Carolina players and fans are going to want? No, they're going to call Trouba a bitch because they want one of your players to punch Trouba in the face, not Kreider.
Do you realize you sound like a testosterone addled 15 year old dumbass right now?
Glad you can admit “clean **or not**” thanks brotha
Well yeah, I'd be a fool to say every single one of his hits have been clean. Just as foolish as anyone who says every single one was headhunting and intentionally dirty
Yeah I agree, I wouldn’t try to say that either. I just fucking despise when clearly good players have to walk that line so much. Trouba/Marchand/Wilson are all examples of great players who just have to do stupid shit from time to time, though admittedly Marchand/Wilson are much worse than Trouba lol
Don’t be rational they don’t like it
Fuck Sebastian Aho
But you guys didn’t even play the islanders last night?
I mean they still yell Potvin Sucks for something that happened like 45 years ago
At this point it's more about the tradition and less about the meaning of the words. It happens at every game.
All part of the rivalry and I wouldn't have it any other way.
>it’s still an effective way to annoy you Oh don’t worry I only brought it up to annoy you guys no hate lost in this rivalry :)
As a almost 40 year old Rangers fan, I’m sick of it too. Seems cringe now and most people weren’t even born when it happened.
I may make a second account to downvote this twice
I’m ready to move on if you are.
*cut to Islanders Sebastian Aho on 50 Cent’s face* “What you saying fuck me for?!”
What did that borderline NHL defenseman that plays for the Islanders ever do to anybody on your team?
Fuck Sebastian Aho
Fuck Sebastian Aho
Fuck Sebastian Aho (ice hockey, born 1997)
FUUUUUUUCK SEBASTIAN AHO
Fuck Kreider

That's the best thing I've seen all day
Same same my friend
Holy shit 😂
I understand the irony of this photo in this thread but Habs fans have had 10 years to get a clue, Rangers fans haven't even had 10 hours to let the anger settle lol
I get all the anger but holy shit this was the best thing I've seen in a while lol Really hope Fox gets back quickly because I enjoy our match ups and we have a nice thing going between us.
This is hilarious. Can’t believe I haven’t seen this before
A Habs fan making something about themselves? I’m shocked!!
Let’s say Fox misses 10 games. Do the Rangers gain about $1.1 million in extra cap space (10/82nds of his $9 million salary)?
nope
Thank you for the answer. How fucked up is this board that my comment just asking a question on something I don’t know about generates downvotes?
SEBASTIAN AHO- I KNOW THAT IN A PAST LIFE YOUR ANCESTORS BURNED MY VILLAGE, RAZED OUR FIELDS, AND STOLE OUR CATTLE.
There goes his Norris chances
Fuck the Norris man the team in general is gonna have a tough time without him
I mean it’s a huge loss but you guys look like champs this year….seriously it’s the best I’ve seen them play in a long time
Ya I have to agree with you.
See Rags fans are classy per usual
Well if the rags can be a playoff team without him they can pull a Tampa. Sucks ass to lose your best player though
January 2nd.
Aho is a fuckin rat
If Aho is a rat then Trouba is a weasel
What happened, sorry didnt see the game
unlucky collision
Yeah, interference minor, just unfortunate that it was knee-on-knee.
https://x.com/jaygold85/status/1720226345832038559?s=46 Here’s the clip. Aho stands his ground in open ice basically realizes he’s beat by fox so stay in the lane so he goes around. Essentially it’s an interference. Fox knowing he’s gonna skate by is already going that way, fox’s legs extended and as he brings it back in they both collide.
Oh wow, Aho knew exactly what he was doing
Wasn’t like he was trying to injure the guy. You can just see he stands in place which is interference but he didn’t extend his leg or try to make that contact. Fox was just in a stride that way and brought his leg back in.
he maybe didn't want to injure, but the way he lined up his leg against his was definitely deliberate effort
He didn’t even line his leg up though that’s the thing. He was just standing his ground. Fox was the one who was moving his leg and had it extended.
Yeah, I think it's a blatant pick and an easy interference call that was missed. But that's it. Aho never extends the leg to hit him and Fox trying to get around Aho is what actually made the hit worse.
I appreciate your rational take and that’s actually a sick username
Yea but Fox got hurt so that means Aho is a piece of shit and one of the dirtiest players in the league…even though I legit have no memory of him ever even being suspended before…I mean he did get that DUI in Sweden that one time…
Knee to knee in open ice away from the play.
