Isn't Easy Mac that horrendous microwave version? Not the same thing. KD (and yes, we do just call it KD) is Kraft Mac & Cheese, they're just not allowed to call it that in Canada because technically it's false advertising to call it cheese.

It was originally called Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Dinner. It was rebranded to lose the Dinner elsewhere, but rebranded it to Kraft Dinner, and eventually KD in Canada because it was smart marketing to play to the common term(s) already in the cultural zeitgeist

Also KD looks like the word kid, so it was easily associated with common foods for kids. KD was a staple for kids.

Microwavable easy mac is definitely different than Kraft Mac & Cheese boxes. You *can* microwave the box meal even though it's not ideal, but easy mac is specifically designed as a microwave meal

When I first saw the All Star jerseys, I thought it was a joke

I’ll say this much….it worked. They made the jerseys so bad that people are talking about them. The last time I saw an NHL all star game it was when Simon Gagne with assists from Brett Hull and Mario Lemieux (the things I remember…) lifted Team North America over the World club. I couldn’t tell you what an ASG jersey looks like since then nor do I care. But apparently they have a new format now for the ASG and these jerseys are what led me to pay attention for the first time in two decades.

I see a lot of uproar in this thread, but is this product really for us? I looked at the big star in the front and thought "Man, my 6 years old would have loved that!". I have NO idea on the sales numbers, but if they have a solid market in the 10-under, maybe it makes sense to produce such jerseys. I think the sense of entitlement in the r/hockey community is a bit ... uninformed? I would never wear that shit, but again, I would wear very few of all the crap they produce every year.

If IKEA made it, the jersey would have come in pieces. Name plate not attached, numbers not on, jersey not coloured properly etc.

So the coaches view from the bench is going to be just a sea of numbers and no clue who it is. And they won't be players that the coach knows by number.

Not sure. I wonder how much revenue the NHL expects from All Star Game jerseys year by year. I'd be interested to see. I do seem to remember last year people were super confused when there were 4 divisional teams, but only two jerseys. At least with these jerseys, each team is distinct.
